Hello, i have same stuff x870e carbon and 9800...in my experience in these days not worth properly with custom settings on pbo. Seems to be the motherboard dosen t manage good the pwr. Do you think is safe to upgrade latest beta bios?
@@Eskoxo most only do 6.4 allcore. Unless you delid, Liquid Metal, bigger cooler and then your only at 6.6 or 6.7 that’s only a extra 3 percent on top of his results
My 9800x3d and msi x670e tomahawk get high temps 😢 I know my cooler is good. 360 aio because it cools my 7950x3d perfectly. Loading into games i get 90c and above. Gaming gets ranges from 60c to 90c often, cinebench gets 90c. Mounting is good. Paste is good. What do I do?? I also undervolted -20
@@killerbsting1621 7950x3d doesn’t read heat the same way as the v-cache is on top of the dye. Now it’s on the bottom. Likely your paste, mounting or settings aren’t right or your AIO is going bad. I would likely say if your certain your paste is good then I’d say do a fresh install of windows. Maybe your aio pump isn’t running as fast as it should.
@@FlanK3rCZ hello, i have x870e carbon and 9800x3d, i test several settimgs but seems like you Say Is BIOS problem. I have the stock One but i think manage voltage really bad. For now best i can do Is -20 curve +200 override boost and let manage voltage by motherboard. I also try to set manual TDC but as i Say something not worth properly. I dont know if worth update for a beta BIOS....
According to their statement, shipment is being held at customs and waiting for release. Second wave supposedly arrives late November. Then another one somewhere in December.
I think we'll have to get CUDIMM support at speeds like 9600MT/s before we'll see benefits from memory overclocking. V-cache let's you spend less on the DDR5 and put your money elsewhere.
@@napoficial7123 Its nearly impossible to get a 9800x3d right now, given time supply will stabilize but nobody knows when that will be. It is possible to get one via newegg as of now but you need to watch the bundles as thats your best bet, meaning you will need to get a new motherboard or AIO alongside it.
AMD is not the ideal choice for video editing or Adobe software applications. In comparison, Intel and Nvidia perform well in these tasks. Intel and AMD need to more improve in 2024. Intel's prices are too high for their specs, while the Mac M4 offers great performance at a lower cost. An Intel computer of comparable quality to a Mac Mini M4 costs twice as much as a Mac Mini M4.
what? he picked a 240MM AIO because he thinks this CPU will be put into a smaller formfactor case? this dude is high, i dont know how many people ive seen say they are putting this thing under a 360MM or 420MM rad, litterally ZERO people are putting this CPU under a 240MM rad.
@@thelasthallow I know several including myself. At 145 watts it’s still 10 degrees away from thermal throttling and with a -30 all core undervolt it hits a maximum of 115 watts at 68C in R23.
@@Dyils yeah its an easy to cool CPU no shit, but if you are going to overclock it which its very good at, then you should get a larger cooler. thats a fact and everyone knows this.
Finally, great to see a modest tech reviewer 😀
this cpu is a beast!!! dream with it.. amazing video!
As usual the king nails it.......
Excellent review! The 9800X3D is definitely a beast!
InB4 the EPIC LEGEND that is Ian Parry comments on his own video ;) :D
As always best reviewer
Love this channel
I really wish you showed what this could do on a custom loop instead of a 240mm aio (if I understood correctly).
The title in the video timeline is incorrect regarding the motherboard...its not Z890...its X870e
Whoops 🫣 Fixed now!
Love the attitude LOL
Gracias 8Pack ❤

Such a conservative overclock for a bunch of non-gaming benchmarks, feels kind of timid and not exactly indicative of anything overall.
overclock on those guns aswell
Where can I copy these Overclock settings
U have my email, just was waiting for the bundle to restock;)
Zen 5 sweet spot for ram is 6200mhz cl28. 2200 fclk on a-die

"overclocking review" and you got it to 5.35 ghz ? lol that's clicking what 3 buttons

You can’t say you’re the best if you use the best motherboard. I have asus rog strix x670e and can only get the 200 extra htz.

I am thinking of getting 9800x3d before Christmas. If that's not available I will buy 9700x.
I just picked up a used 7800X3D for cheap. I love it! Can't overclock but messing with curve optimizer right now.
