- In this episode we finally set out to sail across the Irish Sea to Scotland. It may not not seem a lot to most people but to us newbie sailors it was a big deal. @@Alan13Mac That's something we'd love to do. Unfortunately it's not something we can afford yet. The dream is to sail our little boat all the way down there 🤞

Nice one! We made that trip the other way around a couple of years ago - Port Patrick to Banger. Felt pretty epic to us. We had a good bit of wind that day, and were expecting some excitement outside of Portpatrick with the tidal rips, but oh boy.. was wilder than I had imagined. The little Vega performed well though! 😁 We were lucky to enter Porpatrick on a flat calm day before this though.. I don't think I'd fancy that with any drama!
We were lucky on are way in. Not so lucky on the way out of Portpatrick as you'll see in the next video

It is a big deal... first major passage and the Irish Sea isn't to be laughed at. Good job.
