      Thank you. Still trying to gain confidence flying it off the boat. Scarey trying to land it. Lol well if you don't like the cold stay away from the emerald Isle over the winter months. But you definitely have to visit, its really beautiful.

      @@LittleBoatAdventures we got now a much lighter mavic air...and I have a feeling that it was a mistake, could not catch it... Had to crash land it on the deck

    @stevecordingley6422 Год назад

    Nice video. I know what you mean about recovering the drone! Same problem myself. I ended up hand catching (and slashing my finger in the process from a prop. ) very nerve wracking. So near but so far and worrying about battery life! You may already be aware but be careful regarding your return to home point for the drone as you will no longer be there. If I’m on the boat I make my return to home point the controller. It also may have been easier recovering from the other side of the boat away from the boom. I also let my sails loose and headed into the wind to slow the boat down but that still wasn’t enough with tide etc. and that was on a calm day.

    • @LittleBoatAdventures
      @LittleBoatAdventures  Год назад +1

      Hi. Thanks for the comment. That's good information regarding the drone. I actually didn't knkw you could set the controller as home. I will have to look that up. Its terrifying seeing all those tiny blades coming towards your face or fingers. Chain mesh glove may be required lol.

    • @stevecordingley6422
      @stevecordingley6422 Год назад

      @@LittleBoatAdventures hi. You can also choose what you want the drone to do in the event of losing signal. You can make it return to home or you can make it hover where it is or make it land. Obviously the first one is preferred on a boat.
