Micro lure fishing is all I do these days. Guaranteed multiple fish everytime you go out ! Super cheap to get started in it too ! I used to spend days sometimes trying to get that monster pike or big perch, but on ultra light gear I have a great time fighting small perch! Id recommend it for new anglers as theres a realy low chance you will badly hook a fish, most just come off the hook when you pick them up !

Amazing video and a real eye-opener as to what’s possible. I’m primarily a lure angler and also a fly fisher and have never had such success on a canal. I used to fish the Basingstoke Canal but it was only perch and pike with the occasional roach that seemed to oblige certainly not as prolific in terms of species variety as the canal you were fishing. Must try a different canal!!

Instead of tungsten, You can use smallest lead shots, normally used in float fishing. You can attach them on the line whenever You need: near or far from the hook.

I'm quite new to lure fishing and don't necessarily understand the intricacies of setup. For example, I accidently bought a 6/0 hook for sea bass fishing with a 12.5cm soft lure and have NO idea if this is stupid... Equally, have no idea about weighting it or anything!
Could you maybe do a series of short educational videos on setting up in certain ways for certain species? I can see you've linked the bait, but how exactly is it set up? :)
