Oh I miss all these foods! 🇲🇽 I think it's going to be a while before we have Mexican foods again! If you go to Oaxaca, make sure to adventure out there and try all the delicious street foods 😍
hahaha we do drink a lot of coffee! 😂 This is funny! If one day we meet in person, we'll buy you a cup ❤️☕️ Happy to hear you liked the video and thanks for supporting our channel!!
Love your videos. I was in Oaxaca in the 1970's and it appears the city has changed a lot but in some ways it is still the same. My wife and I will spend 8 weeks there starting next January and your videos will help us make the most of that adventure. Muchas gracias.
Wow! I bet it's different! But yes, there's so much character in Oaxaca and locals are so friendly. We had so much fun exploring all its different sides ;) You guys are going to have a blast. The weather in January/February is so fresh and the sun is always out! Oaxaca is a great place to be for 8 weeks!
The tlayuda de flor de calabaza is actually a zucchini squash blossom, a delicacy in various culinary circles. I had the best quesadilla de flor de calabaza at Parque El Llano (a short walk from Templo de Santo Domingo.)
We've never had flor de calabaza before and it was so good!!! Happy we got to try it :) We'll take note of this place for when we go back to Oaxaca City! Thanks so much 🙃
This video makes me count my blessing s being married to the most beautiful woman from San Juan de los lagos Jalisco I been eating real Mexican food for 32 year's I'm a very lucky man great video
Thank you we are building a hose in Baja California hopefully they start in this January I plan on doing videos and posting them we will see how it goes
Tuna = the red fruit of the prickly pear cactus. (Try an horchata con tuna some time; really good drink, topped off with chunks of melon and chopped nuts. Deliciosa!).
Was it easy to find the Netflix memela stand in the market? You mentioned in the blog limiting plans for the next 12-18 hours after eating mole for bathroom related reasons. Were there any other foods you tried that you would give the same disclaimer? Did you guys checkout other sites outsides the city? I think the mole got ordered because Gordon raised his pointer finger to the waiter who interpreted it as “one order” rather than “give us a minute.” It wasn’t an accent barrier.
Oh we didn't know that memela place was on Netflix lol (we haven't had Netflix in years 😂) We saw it in a Mark Weins food video... it was not easy to find at all! We walked around for like 30 minutes, then had to ask around... it was close to impossible to explain it on camera too because the market is huge and has several entrances 🙈 Thanks for reading the blog! :) And no, not at all. Just the moles because of the spices. Other than that, we've never been sick from Mexican street food. Just a room service pizza at a Mexico city hotel 😖
So sorry, but we don't remember! :( It was a stall inside the market, in a corner. Some of them look kind of similar, so it's hard to explain which one it was. But from what we understand, the food in this market is good, so just try the tlayudas at whatever spot looks the busiest :) Safe travels!
Todo México es de enorme tradición culinaria, solo que los turistas solo conocen Oaxaca. Un ejemplo es Hidalgo es pequeñito, pero es bellísimo lleno de paisajes y comidas increíbles.

@@waysoftheworld_ Hi, I was wondering if you might be able to let me know what is the best form of transportation from the airport to the center of the city? Did y'all use taxi services or another means of transportation like Uber? If you could possibly assist me with this information I would greatly appreciate it. 😊
Hi :) So, there's a taxi stand at the airport which has displayed prices and it depends on the zone you're heading to. These taxis can be private or 'colectivos' which are shared vans and they drop each person at their destination just like a taxi. We did the latter and it worked just fine. Also, when we were leaving our host sent us this company where you can arrange airport and pick up and drop off in advance. You can google them like this: TAXI AEROPUERTO Y TOURS SA DE CV. Or their whatsapp is this one: +52 9512006878 :) (it worked fine for us!) Hope this helps and good luck and safe travels!
oh and there's no Uber. They use an app called 'Didi' which is basically the same and you can download it and set it up in advance. Although, I think they don't have airport pick up ;)
@Ways of the World this is very wonderful information. Especially since I thought we would take a taxi to the airport but I see now that I'll have to go about it a different way. Yall are so awesome thank you very much for this information I am truly grateful 🙏.
0:02 That version is for tourists, to amaze them with colors and stuff but lacks of flavor. Locals usually don't eat it that way, so that version is not really recommend It.
No one said there's not more than what we showed in the video. This video in particular happened to be about Oaxaca City, so that's what we showed. I'm sure there are many more amazing places to see! That's when local recommendations come in, so feel free to expand on the "so much to Oaxaca" so people can know where to go ;) Or share videos we can watch and learn from, or even better, make the video yourself! You would go viral if no one else is creating that type of content ✌🏼
I hope you pay extra and tip well. I will travel to Oaxaca, show the vendors your videos and ask if you are cheap. You're making a profit by showing their services, but they aren't. Should be illegal for you yankees to video record everything. Y no estoy jugando, yo si hablo Español.
✌🏼 In English for no Spanish speakers: You're crazy lol - if you can't understand how much money it costs to travel to another country and make videos promoting such country for other tourists to go there and spend their money as well, then there's nothing we can do for you. And one more thing, we always pay for what we eat and at every place we ate at, the people who work there were so proud that we were featuring their restaurant. And you know why? Because they do have a brain to understand that we are actually promoting their place for other tourists to go there and spend their money there. Go bring your hate somewhere else. PS: thanks for promoting our videos and show them to more people :) ✌🏼

Ehh. Theres so much to Oaxaca. Unfortunately most of these food vlogs stick to the capital and like a 10km radius.

Why do they look so Mexican tho? They look more Mexicans than Mexicans. How is that possible?
