It is important to emphasize that El Salvador was part of the Mayan Civilization and the influence of the Mayan culture is very noticeable even today.
All over the world, where would Mediterranean’s and asians be without tomatoes, capsicum, pineapples, cacao, pineapples, corn, potatoes, papaya, avocadoes, squash, sweet potatoes, guava, passion fruit, cassava, vanilla and much more……
@@incognita1989 true but beef , cheese , wheat bread , olive oil , beer and wine
Fair trade , the Hispanic civilization birthed the new world and all Hispanic people can be proud of this
Actually after the ilopango eruption we got nahuatl people, so these days we're close to some Mexican ethnics than mayans
Es un Plato Únicamente Salvadoreño y que lo puedes Comer a Cual quier hora del Día
The indigenous people of the country are the Lencas and cacaoperas mayans have some pockets of Mayan tribes but in not so big numbers.
Ensalada de fruta it’s like a FRUIT PUNCH. The CARAO is actually a REALLY HEALTHY DRINK, people even use it to cure anemia. I like it with MILK. And you DIP THE CEMITA in the COFFEE ☕️ that’s why is more like a BREAD and not a cake.
Your pronounciation of all the local dishes is immaculate. Kudos.
He Speak spanish
Always nice to hear PUPUsas, and not PAPUsas...saludos.
Please try "Panes con pollo" if you haven't already. Amazing video. Salvadorans are very proud of their culture, country and food. Expect more views and comments for those videos from El Salvador
El Salvador a true paradise ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I miss my country and all this food, I must say that your concentration in the videos is incredible because everyone looked at you and you as if nothing had happened, after being a violent country, now that everything has changed, many tourists arrive and we do not assimilate the change still totally, that's why people feel curious to see them making content.
This video is so entertaining well done my friend, you just open my appetite, that Cemita look so good! Welcome to El Salvador 🇸🇻
Your eating the authentic pupusas envy you.. there is a whole bunch of Salvadoran restaurants throughout the U.S but it’s not the same as the one we have a back home….loved the Vic

Se le dará caca de borracho a los turistas extranjeros en venganza al hackeó de youtube y al presidente salvadoreño por reducir las alcaldías municipales
Thanks for visiting my country and hope you have a great time. Enjoy.
Wow! Great video, please show us more about their food it looks delicious and affordable.
I love semita & 3 leches 😋. That 2nd semita did look better than the first one. It has more jam. I want pupusas now! 😋. That's a very different taco, but still looks good. You can get normal looking tacos too. Very nice video 👍
-That veggie salad is called "curtido" and is a mix of cabage/onions/carrots/oregan conserved in apple cider or vinager...
-Semita de panela (something like brown cane sugar) or semita de piña (pineapple) is a sweet bread/pastry 🤩 enjoy EL SALVADOR ❤ thanks for visitings 🎉
Thank you! You’re the only RUclipsr eating the pupusas correctly 😃
Just thinking about that
You have to try Semitas from different bakeries and towns, it's all depends which town you are and locals will tell you the best places to go to find the best Semitas. I like the ones with pineapple and sugar cane candy fillings. I'm glad you are enjoying the Salvadoran food, more importantly you have to travel to our motherland to try it, that's impressive. Thank you for sharing
I love your videos in El Salvador, you're showing the real thing and what locals actually eat on this video. Keep it up

I cannot belive this guy right here. He went hard-core local food chase. I bet many Salvadorans have not even tried the places he went here. I can tell you that for sure as I'm a full street guy.

Carao (Cassia Grandis). Very unique flavor of that fruit, very strong smell and taste. Definitely hard to assimilate if you never tried before.
Great job bud
La semita es buena con un buen café del volcán
I absolutely love El Salvador
as a Salvadoran myself, I never liked the Carao juice, however you can never go wrong with Salvadoran rice and fried chicken 🔥 i hope you enjoy my country.
Welcome to our country 🇸🇻
Thank you for showcasing the flavors of our small country! By the way, your Spanish, your pronunciation is INCREDIBLE. Are you fluent in Spanish? Cus, wow!
Awesome video from a great country!
Thanks for visiting my country,El Salvador, greetings from Dallas.
Hope you can try Semitas from Santa Eduviges! I'm sure you will love them. There's two types of semitas: semita alta like the ones you tried which are best with coffee and semita pacha which is my personal preference as it's usually more tasty
Welcome to my country bro..
Seems you pick a great place to eat pupusas - they look delicious!
Love your passion! Keep it up!
The food is soooo good. When I get semita I get the flat one because it has an even layer of pineapple jam/ preserve. I rarely get the bread one because I like the pineapple all throughout. We have two names for it. Semita pachita (flat pastry) or semita Alta (bread one). It literally means low or high semita. Bread one is intended to eat w a hot drink like coffee or hot chocolate.
Entertaining video!
My mouth is watering
Nice video im loved pupusas
Excellent video 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much for visit our country!!!!!!
God bless you my friend
Hi friend, thank you for visiting El Salvador. I think food is delicious in El Salvador. I love to eat pupusas and semita de pinia with organic cup of coffee. I am glad you like our food, you are cool. 👍
Nice trip to el salvador many delicious dishes
You don’t often see tourists going to “el mercado” when it comes to eating, so i am really happy that you decided to try the food there! it is truly the best way to know what we actually eat here!
I like your video! We always eat semita or any sweet bread with coffee and dip it in it.
You are awesome my friend 🙌🏼🇸🇻
Thank you for visiting El Salvador is hope you come back soon
Your videos are truly good dude
Bravo
Semita you eat with coffee… love it!
Welcome to el salvador ❤
I love Salvadoran food thanks
The fruit that makes it taste a lil fermentized in your fruit salad is called Marañon...its made mostly of that and pineapple. And the bread you gotta eat it with coffee because its too dry.
God blessed you my friend ❤
Welcome to El Salvador❤
Nuestra comida local justo en el centro de la ciudad de san salvador! freaking good!!
Nice ❤
Hi, thank you for visiting My country showing our food, kudos to you
Nice video!
Hola amigo! Nice video 👍😁👌
Just about the carao drink, when I was a kid my grandmother forced me to drink that drink, the truth is I hated it and I still don't like it at all, but yes, it is very healthy and contains many nutritional properties, but I don't particularly like it either. greetings 🇸🇻 🤗 🇸🇻 👍👍
Hello 95.. really appreciate your comments about Rosalita the pupusera lady.? Bring her to USA and she will be an entrepreneur like many that we already have in California as they were Salvadoran lucky enough to cross the border. They work like crazy!! No haraganería.. oh no…Love your enthusiasm as you talk..
I love the cemita is tasty 😋
Nice video 👍👍
Welcome to my country 👍
That's an awesome Video. 👏🧠🧐🤓😎😎😎😀😀👍👏
You're a natural 👌
Cemita is so good with black coffee. I miss the bakeries and the sweet bread.
It's good that you have visited my country, but I advise you to always have someone with you who can explain a little about the culture and gastronomy. They are quite new to serving for visitors with a different languages and that's why the drink 🥤 you bought didn't go very well for you. Carao , it's a fruit not very appetizing and with a strange smell but not all people like it, the most typical and delicious drink is horchata. I hope you continue to visit El Salvador and have better experiences. blessings
relampagos y horchata y yuca frita ..it's the best
Nice video 😊
Welcome to el salvador my friend

pd: I'm sorry about the rude lady incident, oldie people tend to be like that sometimes, lol.
Welcome to El Salvador guy ❤
I’m watching your video right now is very nice to see my homeland ❤
Growing up we did eat the semita with Coca-Cola and the proper way is to deep it in the Coffee like you do with a biscuits or cookie
hey man , you are really brave because you tried the Carao drink , not everyone likes it but here is a pro tip for you next attempt , try Carao with milk
