The great thing about Mexicos food is that we have taken everything the world has brought to us and made it our own. Never afraid to mix and match wildly different flavors to see what we like, and we have very little care for what the rest of the world frowns upon. If it's good and we like we are going to take it for our own. While doing our best to preserve and grow our tradition and culture somehow.
Your body is not used to the spices and chillies. As Mexicans we use alot of that in our food also alot of grease and different types of sauces. Also when you eat corn in a cup make sure to stir the mayo with your spoon with the rest of the ingredients so that you don't eat mayo by itself when you take a bite.
Of course, if you'd traveled to Tijuana to try your first taco, you would have gotten a taco considerably larger but, in addition, a good dollop of creamy avocado pure on top accompanied by sliced cucumbers and whole radishes! There, they cut the meat off the "trompo" directly into the tortilla.
