Might want to check where your KTM was built.
Empty out your house or apartment of the stuff that was built there. See how much stuff is left.
I respect the old Honda Rebel 250 for what it is great at, and that is as the King of the MSF. It is the perfect bike for MSF classes as its well built, reliable, and not powerful enough to do anything really dumb on. If you pass the MSF and still want to ride on local roads for a season before hitting the highway it is also a solid choice.
My Chinese crap Hawk 250 has over 16,000 problem-free miles. I’ve ridden it hundreds of miles per day for days on end throughout NC and SC and it’s never left me stranded. We have a few guys in our Hawk 250 Facebook group that have over 35,000 miles on the original engine and one guy has over 90,000 miles on his and just replaced his engine. 90,000 miles! If you can wrench on your bikes, the Hawk 250 is a pretty good deal if you properly do the PDI out of the crate. The problem is, most dudes can’t do the necessary prep out of the box and don’t have a clue what to do when and if they need a part or if something goes wrong. Frequently, the type of people that purchase a Hawk250 or a lower-cost Chinese bike aren’t exactly your most teachable or “studious” when it comes to mechanical ability. Thus, they end up destroying their Chinese bikes due to lack of proper prep and maintenance or they can never get it to run correctly in the first place. If you want a Hawk-like motorcycle that has high quality control and excellent dealership and parts support, and comes ready to ride, purchase a CSC TT250.
Hey glad you had good luck with it. I didn't specifically name the Hawk 250 in the video but showed a clip of it in the video but I was generally referring to some Chinese bikes like the crapper BMS scooters I had which were knockoffs of the Honda scooter but made with cheaper quality parts and haphazardly put together,
Just get a used 250 from a Japanese manufacture and not have to worry though. You can get a used KLX 250 on the marketplace for like 3k with low miles in my area and actually get decent suspension.
@@CycleCruza Oh absolutely. I’m definitely not finger pointing here. I love your channel and have watched and appreciated it for years. You are not wrong re: Chinese motorcycles in general. They run the gamut from bottom of the barrel all the way to high-end stuff that is equivalent to their Japanese and European counterparts like GPX, Kayo, CFMoto, & Lifan. Thanks for your input!

Hey I didn't even say the name, just showed it in the video. Really, I was just generally talking about some Chinese brand made bikes. There are some really great Chinese made bikes like the CF Moto brand bikes. I really don't know much about the Hawk bikes besides them selling on Amazon.
That new eletric ninja is the slowest pos I've seen. Top speed down hill ,with tornado wind blowing on ya back, you're only going 55mph

I know a few people who own the 700 CL-X and they all said it's a great bike, reliable with great performance. To my understanding, CFMOTO owns KLM. I can't believe how low prices are.

I love my hawk 250! Got 2.3k miles on it so far and absolutely love it. If you're willing to wrench and work on your bike, it is a lot of bike for the money. Just recently bought a 2024 Kawasaki Vulcan s 650 as well🤙
Hey great to hear you like yours. Yeah you definitely have to wrench on them because nobody else will. I tried to get my former BMS scooter fixed and all I heard was " Naw man we don't work on those bikes."
@@CycleCruzariders should stick to paying for new motorcycles and just riding so the wrenchers have a pick of getting it cheap off you or getting a new Chinese motorcycle and riding them into the 90,000 miles territory and beyond.

i was considering buying a hawk 250. it was more for getting a better feel for the mechanics of motorcycles though, like service and adjustment type stuff. decided on a honda 250l dual sport at the time since I didn’t want to tie up any disposable income on a toy project.
There's a guy out here on a trail honda, I always give that guy the wave cause he's doing his thing. Be best moto bros!

i have a 2017 hawk250 thats still rolling strong. came in a box, i put it together and nothing more to say.
I rode the Honda cub (old carbureted version forgot which model not the 50cc thought) with what I think is a aftermarket exhaust and that is a blast. It was pretty loud and sounds amazing and the semi automatic is pretty nice.
I was surprised to learn you can get a Honda Rebel 1100 in an automatic. The Honda cubs were very popular back in the day.

Legit the ONLY Chinese bike brand I'd ever consider is CFMoto. They're alot more reliable than people give em credit for. They get that Chinese bike stereotype by those who don't know the facts. Like the 450SS and 450NK are clear shots at the beginner bike throne aiming at the Ninja 400's crown. The price point is ridiculous for what you get outta the sportbike or naked version. That said the CFMoto dealership level isn't at the level of the big 4 Japanese bikes yet, but they're getting more dealers every month. That number will go up even more once CFMoto releases their bikes with a Triple and in-line 4.
What about CFmoto? I think they use KTM parts would like a vid on your opinion.

Most USA dealerships do not allow test rides of any new bikes, much less used.
The super cup is probably a good scooter. Never ridden one that transmission would be a little weird. And definitely something to just take real easy and cruise. As far as best-selling the super Cubs from the past I'm pretty sure are the most selling motorcycle. Not just Honda. Period grasping for straws but I think it might be actually the most sold vehicle including cars as in more than the beetle

Yoooo.. lol.. alot of Japanese bikes and parts are made in China hahaha.. the Honda XR150L for example.. and they have problems.. If it's made in Taiwan, Thailand, or Indonesia it will probably be ok. My Honda CRF150L converted to supermoto here in the Philippines was made in Indonesia and it's great.. got a video coming soon on it.. tricked it out for $3700usd including price of the bike brand new!!!
True that but there are some Chinese companies putting out junk bikes and some putting out great bikes like CF Moto. All I know is those el cheapo BMS pathfinder scooters I had were crappers that left me stranded and crashed on one because of those crappy tires.

@@simonsaidgoaway6776 Cruza's issue was electrical, yes, but it was a low-power-limp mode tripped due to intermittent or low voltage, because something as simple as a battery cable wasn't tightened properly. That can happen to any brand that uses a battery.

Yeah I'll never forget sliding all over the place in the rain on those crappy tires on that BMS scooter I crashed on it because of those tires but that thing was a rattle box. Anybody I called to try and fix the scooter all said "naw man we don't work on those bikes." lol However, I got my money back and more by parting it out. I was foolish enough to buy two of them. Like they say a cheap man pays twice. 🤣 I'm just grateful to be alive after riding those crappers.
