I have a 16’ aluminum- would this be decent to push it? Also there are a bunch of lakes with a 10hp restriction in the Midwest which is what has me looking.
    Cost?

Thanks for watching! We hope you subscribed to the Sea Eagle Boats RUclips Channel for more informative videos to come! The Honda 9.9 is a great motor and will push it nicely. Here's a link to it ► sea.gl/HONDA99S_YT

I have this motor and had it on a 16ft Lund and was very disappointed with the speed could only get 13 to 14mph so I sold the boat and got a 14ft thinking that would make a big difference boy was I wrong it was even worse because I had a shorter boat the front won't go down and level off so the boat was pushing the water forward under the boat, get a 15 or 20 they're only 12lbs heavier and I'm sure will push it like a rocket.

I have the same motor.. just wondering. is the tilt & run control handle has to be in RUN when operating? or has to be in TILT so that if you hit any object under the water, the motor will get tilted so that it won't damage the transom.. it's confusing me.

Hello and thanks for watching @elonmustard11313. You can run in it in the tilt mode when needed. Mostly when you need to tilt the motor up in super skinny water. However, you'll need to switch to run mode if you need high throttle reverse or the motor when kick up during. Most Sea Eagle have a very shallow draft (2-6"). So tilting the motor is usually only needed when beaching. Keep in mind, allowing your motor to come in contact with anything at any speed is not a good thing and should be avoided at all cost.

@@SeaEagleBoats can i ask one more question.. do you run your gas out in your motor after each use? I have to move my motor in my car and I thought running ur gas out before putting it back will prevent any leak.. some ppl say i dont have to

Hard to beat a Honda anything for quality and reliability. The Honda tax is real but well worth it if you want something that isn't going to cause any headaches for many years.

What is the top speed you can get with this engine in a Fishskiff 16 with two adults and typical fishing gear?

I have a 14' SRO. What's the strength/speed for this motor on my boat with 4 adults and gear? We have been also having strong rips and winds. Thanks
