I'm surprised that you never figured out how to unlock Glass, objectively the best unit in Echoes. All you have to do is rename the golden dagger to Mani Katti and an iron sword to Glass, and then max out both weapons. Then, once you enter Mila's Temple, Glass will appear and join your army. Why is Glass the best unit in Echoes? Well, he simply cannot be hit, his swordplay is that peerless! He really helped me through some tough spots!
Honestly I prefer Joshua. All you need to do is to buy a Nice Hat item with 10 Gold Marks on the Ram Village before chapter IV, play a coin flip game and lose 10 times in a row, then in the invasion against Rigwald, make Silk go to a specific spot in the map and Glass will appear with Mani Katti. Defeat him with one of your Dread Fighter and equip them with the Nice Hat before and watch the custcene where Josh appears and got flabberstaged easily by Glass before eventually Joined your party. He has roughly similar stats as Deen as an unpromoted Mercenary, fatigue tolerance of .55, and a Free Astra, and he has the highest RES Growth in the game at 25 percent.
But yeah, Glass is easily better than him despite starting at lower level and even lower stats. I heard that Cavalier!Glass is unstoppable due to how fast and nearly untouchable he is. He can even get Sol Katti if you so choose, by reclassing all of your units to Dread Fighters. The different between Lyn and him is that he has way higher CON not to be slowed down by it, and that's a good thing.
By the way for those of you who are having trouble recruiting Nino in FE: Binding Blade, first you have to get A support between Raigh and Lugh, then in chapter 27, get Roy to drink a Mystical Vulnerary (You get this in the bottom right chest in chapter 26). Nino will appear on the left side of the map and Jaffar will appear on the right. Then you have to defeat Jaffar with a light spell (it only works if it's a light spell). After that, Nino will begin to pursue Roy. Defeat Nino with either Raigh or Lugh then she will surrender and join you as a level 1 Ninomage. She promotes to Ninosage at level 30 with a Nino's Book (It's dropped by a bandit in chapter 29). You're welcome.

I respect your opinions but i must disagree at your Tim Hortons comments, as Mr Sub, the other canadian exclusive unit it vastly superior in every way. Now i do know about the long time popularity and fame tim hortons has had since the days of Giaden, but Mr Sub has the ability to summon its friend, coffee time. Coffee time is no where near as good as Timmies, as the Ice Caps growth are vastly greater at base, however the donut base stat is about the same in both Coffe time and Timmies. Plus Mr Subs daily subs are much better constantly on multiple play throughs then tim horton sandwiches. The only draw back of Mr Sub and its companion coffee time, is that coffee time brings the fatigue lvl down to 0.67, but i think this is more then made up for in Mr Sub's support conversation with Hannibal, as supports conversation should be the definitive tie breaker. Also have you seen Mr Subs tits? i mean i'm a ass man, my favourite basketball player is Kyle Lowry, but Mr Sub has some really nice buns man, so good you could make a sub for about $6.63
Ghast you should have added Dread Fighter Luthier! He has high Skill, Speed, Luck and Defense, along with a high Fatigue Tolerance with the Brave Sword!
The game is pretty easy even on hard mode. Just use the characters you like. Just remember you can only bring 10 units from alms side into the end game and you can only have 20 units total on the final map.

Only units I would say are bad are: - Nomah as he joins at a high level and doesn't deal that much damage. - Clive, being more like a Great Knight than a Paladin, is incredibly slow. Besides them, basically everyone can be used effectively at every level.
@Xamuswing Honestly Clive can be pretty damn good depending on his stat rolls. He starts out pretty shit but he became one of my better units in the end game. Matilda was obviously better but Clive was close behind her.
Razqua Clive: 55% 40% 35% 25% 25% 30% 2% Mathilda 40% 50% 45% 55% 45% 40% 4% Sorry, buddy. The numbers don't lie. Not to mention Clive starts near promotion, and Mathilda is at the beginning of the Paladin class, giving her ample time to use these stat growths. I doubt that Clive will be that close behind her. With good stat rolls, literally any character can be good, anyways. Just to say, not looking to start an argument, nor am I being a troll. Just feeling the need to say.

Honorable mentions. Ghast- Ghast has an amazing luck growth of 999%, meaning his critical hit rate will be through the roof. On the downside, his skill growth rate is only 2%, even lower than Barth's resistance growth in Binding Blade, meaning Ghast's accuracy will be shaky at best. Mangs- Mangs on the flip side has a respectable 45% skill growth, as well as a great fatigue tolerance of 0.7. Add to that his personal skill, Pepsi Max, in which he automatically consumes Pepsi Max to reduce fatigue even more, makes him ideal for speedruns. Mangs' only bad point is his luck growth rate of -100%, meaning he gets unluckier as he levels up, becoming increasingly more susceptible to critical hits. Also, Mangs will often force the charge command, initiating auto-battle and running the risk of killing one of your other units.

Honestly delthra has decent bases. They aren't great, but mage ring magic nuke is VERY effective. Either that or speedring for doubling with aura on the big tanks like the barons and gold knights throughout part 4 make delthea pretty good. Luther support isn't bad either, but she admittedly needs a bit of investment. Might not get ragmarok on a speed run, though
I turned my Kliff into a mercanary and he is one of the best units on my team. IDK, most units people don't like to use at certain parts always work well for me. I think Kliff is a good unit if you play your cards right and make him a merc. Just my thoughts on him.
