Who would’ve thought that this simple announcement of a new FE game for the Switch would eventually become the grandiose adventure that is Three Houses? It’s almost crazy now to think of how different the FE landscape was before 3H.

Fire Emblem Gaiden NEEDED this remake. It's the most forgotten game of the series that even the fans that have been with FE for YEARS (I'm talking pre-Awakening) even forget or don't play.

This reaction is so pure and beautiful, like a combination of hundreds of children on their first christmas.
Also, Nintendo's going balls-deep with putting effort in the Fire Emblem IP now, hard to believe the series was on the verge of ending forever a couple years ago. Hopefully Echoes sells and Intelligent Systems returns to a more serious, realistic story for future titles rather than sinking deeper into the Mary Sue Avatars and waifubaiting hole. The future of Fire Emblem looks bright.

They credited him at the beginning. It is Yuri Lowenthal who is the official English voice of Marth as of Codename STEAM. He also voiced numerous characters in Awakening and Fates:
He was a number of NPC villagers and a few others in Awakening, and in Fates he was Kiragi, more NPCs, and it is under debate whether it was him or Takumi's voice actor who played Niles. (I am positive it was Yuri as Niles.)
But yeah, the reason Yuri Lowenthal did the narration is because he is the official English voice of Marth now.

I think that is what there planing. I mean this game has shadow in its title and the other remakes also have shadow in their names, and the word shadow kind of fits the idea of a remake. I also think that they wouldn't of had a reason to echoes being in the title and not just be shadows of valentia if they weren't planing more remakes

I'm hopeful. What gives me hope is that its called Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. The Echoes name is strange, it's similar to the name "Fates", which makes me think we MIGHT get a series of "Echoes" that bring the old games to the west in a new format

I used to watch my brother play FE Gaiden on our NES back when I was just a kid, he'd teach me what to do and everything I need to know how to play it and eventually I learned. It was the first ever video game that I played and it's still one of my all time favorite game and it tops of my list of other FE games.
Seeing the trailer for the remake literally brought tears to my eyes, I played the original so many times and nonstop before and seeing it brought back again made me really happy.
I wasn't really expecting this to happen and it really caught me off guard, I was filled with pure happiness.

You know, I got into Fire Emblem with Awakening and have bought every one since then. I'd heard Gaiden was the "black sheep" of the franchise and very different. I went into Echoes blind and I think it might be my favorite of all the modern games. I understand its flaws, its map designs are pretty bad, but I LOVED the plot and characters.
Same, Echoes is still the prettiest FE imo. Ghast's hype is so contagious I always come back to this reaction, It's nice to see the start of FEH as well.
