I learned this long ago in a collection class. But I had forgotten this couture touch. I made a long, wool cape trimmed with repurposed fur. The large snaps were covered with satin, as in your video. I wore that cape for years. Thanks for jogging my old, foggy memory.
Thank you for explaining and showing how this is done. I see these cloth snaps on a lot of Japanese pieces, which always gives a special finishing touch.
👋 hello… oh , that’s how it’s done ! These snaps are on my dressy dresses. I have tons of these fasteners , this is what I called them. I will use them on the small pouches or mini purses I will be making ( coins, money bills, credit card ) . Much nice than the plastic Kam snaps I was thinking I would use. It will be hidden below the flap . Thank you for demonstrating how to make the mini purse look classy. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thanks again Berniece. I will have a Kam snap tutorial soon.. I have covered snaps on my better jackets and coats. I love the look of them. Have a great day!

Thank you very elegant tutorial! Is there any machines can do it ? I have to do alot and its take time. I wish if i can find a handle machine to press the fabric on the snaps Please if you have any idea share it with me Thanks again
I would like you to show the best way to attach to the item since the fabric covered up the holes.THX I have come across these covered in fine silk in a button box I was given.
I’m not exactly sure what you mean but you can watch this video of mine as I show how to attach a snap. You will just need to feel for the holes under the fabric. Cheers ruclips.net/video/hH57L3RgNQA/видео.html
thank you. All my industrial machines are Brother not Juki. I do not have links for them but will have links for domestic machines in the new year. Cheers and thanks for watching.
Teaching my grandaughter to sew a purse, this is perfect . Thank you 🌸

I have come across these covered in fine silk in a button box I was given.
You basically need to feel for them. Have a look at this video of mine as I show you how sew on regular snaps ruclips.net/video/hH57L3RgNQA/видео.html
I always sewed them on with silk thread which blends with the satin.
How did you attach the fabric covered snap to project like a jacket
I’m not exactly sure what you mean but you can watch this video of mine as I show how to attach a snap. You will just need to feel for the holes under the fabric. Cheers ruclips.net/video/hH57L3RgNQA/видео.html
