Actually, speaking on the starters of Gen one, Bulbasaur was statistically the best choice if going off type alone because the first two gyms are weak to grass
Grass also resists Electric, so Surge is in trouble Grass resists Grass & Bulbasaur is part Poison so Erika is dead Koga Has Poison, which Poison Resists so Bulbasaur is neutral actually Giovanni’s Ground & Rock Types are doomed against Bulbasaur So, in conclusion, Bulbasaur actually only struggles against 2 gyms, Sabrina with Psychic, & Blaine with Fire. Every other is either weak or neutral to Bulbasaur. However, you definitely can have many other Pokémon to use by the time you deal with Sabrina & Blaine, so yeah, Bulbasaur is the best.
6:28 at first I thought Marowak was pissed because Double Kick wouldn’t do ANYTHING to the Onix. I’m now realizing it’s probably because he can’t kick at all.
Actually gen1 you would be better with Bulbasaur really. Leaf are good against rock, water, electric and insect/poison while only week to fire and ice. That means the advantage on the first 3 gyms, plus a 4th one. And only being weak to the second to last gym, where you must have a Pokémon that knows Surf to reach to.
My first ever choice was Charmander. But after beating the game and playing it multiple times, na G. Bulbasaur was where it was at. He was easily the strongest at the first couple gyms, especially being able to use leech seed. And by the time you got further you already had a team. And let's not forget his solar beam was basically 💯 on accuracy. Fire blast and hydro pump, man that was tough. Though flame thrower was man ish. Not to mention though, at some point you gotta check em all. Lol, sorry bout that.
Scorpion could have solved the problem just by visiting Sub Zero and punching him once. Sub Zero would just faint, and the dizziness would have ended 🤣
nah, squirtle is only good against Brock while bulbasaur is good against Brock and Misty, and is also resistant to Lt. Surge and is immune to being poisoned by Koga.
you CANT catch a fighting type that early in the game, that’s why charmander is considered hard mode, because you don’t have access to anything strong against Brock (except oddish but oddish is kinda trash anyway) until after the first gym
@@AceTechn0 In the old games, you can go to the Route that leads to the Indigo League (one of the places where you fight Blue), and there's a patch of tall grass where you can catch a Mankey
"No diversity in attacks, all grass" Bruh my man Bulbasaur learns normal type moves, grass moves, poison moves, can learn Bide from Brock early game, and other TM moves outside of grass
Starter was Bulbasaur. Grass stomps multiple gyms, can learn Earthquake, and is Poison.
Which also means it's immune to poison attacks. Viridian Forest is a cake walk.

Exactly
Grass also resists Electric, so Surge is in trouble
Grass resists Grass & Bulbasaur is part Poison so Erika is dead
Koga Has Poison, which Poison Resists so Bulbasaur is neutral actually
Giovanni’s Ground & Rock Types are doomed against Bulbasaur

Plus Bulbasaur doesn't need any Antidotes for the fights in Viridian Forest, it's immune to poison from Poison Sting
You guys should watch the sonic for hire series you would love it
Yes! I mentioned this also
Grass was always strong against Rock.
Charmander was basically hard mode in Gen 1, for the first few gyms anyway.
In sonic 2 it’s a one player game but if you plug in the second controller on the genesis you can control tails and he can not die 2:53

Oh I thought your opening music was industry bady
Yeah I think those that work on these kinds of shorts are a little unhinged
Very true😂
You should react to Dorkly’s Pokémon Rusty. One of the best series I saw on RUclips.

And in the beginning, you don't need antidotes for Viridian Forest. You can just sell the ones you find.

Sooo uhhh... all my starters where in the set of “unused”... idk how I should feel about that
Scorpion could have solved the problem just by visiting Sub Zero and punching him once. Sub Zero would just faint, and the dizziness would have ended 🤣
you offended me with the bulbasuar one but i still subbed i love bulba also bulba statisticly is the strongest gen 1 starter look it up

ICE climbers was doing a thing from vertical limit movie
i am soooooooo high and forgot i already put this here
Sub zero staying dizzy 😂😂😂😂
I'd pick Charmander as my starter. If the first Gym is rock, then just catch a Fighting-type or a Grass-type
I would trade my starter for a Koffing 😎😎😎

Squirtle was my guy, i love wartortle.
Charmander is my favorite, bulbasor is horrible; no diversity in attacks all are grass
but venasaur learns poison and some normal type moves too ;-;
