I think Jon Oliva put it best when he said the name Savatage got typecast with 80s Hair Metal. We can complain about how unfair and inaccurate that is, but it is reality.

This was actually prior to Al being in the band. The guitarist is Alex Skolnick from the band Testament. He was the first replacement for Criss Oliva.
