Very true 👍 👌
Used to work for a tyre remoulding company in the same yard as Thor 4:29 and later worked with Phil Bunch who worked for Thor for a local tipper company. Some of the stories and pictures that he shared were amazing.
Thank you 😊 🙏 for sharing few of your memories and welcome to channel 😊
Brilliant
They some drivers them lads ❤️❤️❤️❤️⚓🛠️🤠 JB
They certainly were true legends
These fellas had Knuts didn't they. Total respect👍
Yes totally agree with you Steve 👍 👏 💯
Could you imagine a driver nowadays setting off for Middle East in a 110 scania or a 2800 daf lol not home comforts in them a rough bed and that was about it
True long distance drivers in there day also they had to know how to do running repairs and more
Rather one of them than that Sed Atki boneshaker, up and down the M6 in one of those was enough for me.
Takes me back to the early 80's, being in Algeria. In and out of the Sahara desert and a good crew to work with.
went to italy once ,but these guys are the bees knees
Proper legends, excellent pics 👏👏👏👌
Thank you paul 🙏 😊
Interesting to see American trucks, the White, Kenworth, International and Mack from Europe in the Middle East. The days well before air conditioned cabs and air ride seats. Looks like Scania and Volvo were the market leaders back then. That looked like a Japanese Nissan UD mixer on the back of a trailer at 6:11 mark too. Who made "SISU" trucks? Great video and much enjoyed.
Thank you glad you injoyed watching the video
SISU Trucks were made in Finland.still made today with Renault cabs.Dennison Irelands only truck builder used the SISU cab shown here.by all accounts the SISU were/are a great truck.
