Hello there. Some real nice looking working trucks and landscapes. Yes really Spectacular. Thank you. We really appreciate your video's they are great. We are in the Ribble valley in Lancashire, where we like proper trucks.
Great video & trucks ! I especially like the old "Bulldogs" (Mack F-Type and Cruise Liner Cabovers, R-Models and an old B-Model, as shown), they were real tough workhorses ... 11:03: Mercedes NG from the TV series "Auf Achse" ... 15:00: Even a Bavarian is there: F88 from Oberallgäu (OA). ... Best pics: Berliet with camels & TurboStar in the air ! 👍Respect for the drivers from back then, that wasn't a drive into the countryside !
A German driver pulled up his new Merc at the end of the queue at Gourblach ( Iranian border ) right behind an Eric Vick A series ERF. He looked at the ERF and asked the driver if had driven it all the way from the UK.." Yes of course" said the driver, and told the German that he was pushing it all the to Karachi.... The German shook the ERF drivers hand vigorously and said " You deserved to win the war " Not sure if that was true but I heard it many times.
The ERF looks like it was owned by Richard Reid Transport. I think they were based in Longhope, Forest of Dean Gloucestershire. The company was started by Richard Reid in the 1940’s. It was sadly wound up a few years ago. At one time they were a main dealer for ERF.
At least it had a sleeper....well a Jennings "pigeon box" lol😂😂 there was worse than that to be seen in old pictures, day-cabbed Atkinson borderers,Guy big J's, Henschel day cabs from Switzerland and even a day cabbed cement mixer being driven fro UK😭 they were some breed then💪🏻
@@petershaw9155 so funny, when I saw it said to the good lady I wonder if it has a Jennins pigeon box on it! 😉 I,d had enough after three loads of gravel from Stoke to Manchester!

At the 11²⁵ ,there s Lamy helped by a Somat. And a rare Onatra from Metz, they drove only two years on the Middle-East line.

Mmm.
I honestly dont think the modern day vehicles would make it. The sensors oh the sensors 😅😂
I agree 👍 and you would have very hard time to do running repairs
Every day Sir, every day.
not only the trucks. also the drivers.

Can anyone tell me if the Lokeren truck stop, from years ago is still going
Great place!
It was closed in the 90's when I went through.
The most strange one was a plastic pig ERF in the desert?
I drove an A series ERF for years in the UK, you would have to have a heart as big as a dustbin lid to do ME in one!
