A super selection of classic trucks from the past. Some firms are still operating and some have sadly gone now.
The L Gill Foden timber haulage business from Brodie were based just along the road from where I live and they ran several Foden trucks, both artics and 8 wheeler log haulage trucks. I think that I remember that they had an ERF 8 wheeler too

3:13 , The good old Berliet, Drove a 260 I think, It was OK for 32 tons, for its day a roomy cab. I see Rottdeans marked on the side, would that be good old Rothdeans Trailers from the Forest of Dean. Thanks for those memories, as always spot on, Thanks.

All the British trucks we used to have some some not you almost took the job because of the type of truck well I certainly did today with all its regulations is it worth being a truck driver we’ve had the best I’m sure that a lot of people will agree I come from a haulage background of 70 years

Very true 👍 👌 I agree its not the same today. And we have lost so many family firms not for the better.

We had two Chinese Foden twinsteers @ 10.28 in the fleet at Yardleys in Leeds. Terrible to drive in the wet, I tried to avoid driving them at all costs.
