Somethng which is not often talked about with bigger tyres is the increased circumference will lead to your vehicle computer thinking you have gone less distance for the same amount of fuel than if you had smaller tyres. For example, a 265/60r18 vs 265/70r18 is a 6.9% increase in circumference. So without even taking into consideration the actual increase in fuel consumption (which there is) you get 6.9% worse according to the computer, that isn't actually correct.

Anything that helps expose an intercooler to direct airflow will always be more efficient.
