Having cleaned far too many EGRs and intakes on N70s (and lots of other makes), I am highly dubious about your solvent cleaning method. I know it’s not cool to be so cynical without evidence, but the decades of cumulative experience in our shop says that solvent only cleaning without mechanical removal of baked oil/soot deposits is practically worthless. I’d love someone to do a before and after of that method to see how much gunk you really remove, not just from the EGR but also the elbow, the inlet into the top of the manifold, and around the butterfly valves (particularly #4 & #3 cylinders). The ONLY method proven to make a tangible difference to de-restricting intake flow is ultrasonic cleaning after fully dismantling the intake system. That’s our experience.
We spent a lot of time & money coming up with a strong enough solution that does the job, does it properly, without causing any damage. Perhaps we can do a video in the near future on what you are asking for. Cheers!
Hi guys love the channel. You fitted a trans pack ? What is that ? I am keen on what it does and looking at getting for my N70. Looking forward to your response keep up the good work 🤙🏼
@@matthewtimperon9771 sorry - to confirm - they're only available on the 5 speed auto ones, which are the later model 2014-2015 N70s. If you have one of these, then please give our quoting/technical guys a call on 1800034373. Thanks Matthew!
Thanks for the video; would a custom tune be ok on a 2010 n70 (manual) with approximately 250k kms on the clock. It's been well looked after. What is the price for getting an EGR clean and custom tune done? Thanks in advance.
Yes, although it will need a new set of injectors and a clutch upgrade. Please give us a call on 0736380242 & chat to our diesel experts about your N70 and they'll give you all the info & price you up!
Hi there. Not sure why you are saying this? Factory 1KDs are renowned for cracking pistons, not tuned ones. So in other words, it happens tuned or not.
@@79series cracked piston are because of leaking injector seals not because a big shop tuned it, if these guys were some random ebay "tuner" or backyard "tuner" maybe you'd have a point but they're a big shop that's been around more than a few years, if they were blowing up peoples engines i seriously doubt they'd still be in business, especially with all the social media "experts" around who are more than willing to destroy peoples lives......... maybe next time shut up
Thanks for another great video 👍

Hi there. You mentioned you fitted a trans pack to this vehicle. What does that involve ?? Any info would be appreciated. Thank's.
Great video guys! I have the same model and auto configuration, I'm curious to know how much the auto lock up and tune costs? Cheers

Hi Matthew, thank you. Unfortunately the Trans Packs are not available for the N70s.

@@UltimateDieselTuning I have a 2013 sr5 n70 that's also a 5 speed auto. Would you be able to fit the trans pack on that too? Or just the 2014-2015?
@@ChrisPlaysCoC no, it's just the 2014-2015 models that are able to be fitted with them.

Another 1kd on its way to a cracked piston now its tuned

@@UltimateDieselTuning you answered yourself in your own answer.
@@79series our tuning does not cause cracked pistons.
