  • This Tour Bus, a 1982 Silver Eagle, was once owned by a Rock Star of sorts......She's been parked for about 6-10 years.
She's a little tired but I was still hopeful when I showed up with the tools.
Join me as we investigate what will be required to get this big Detroit 6V92 back on the road.
Win or lose we're going to have fun.
Thank you all for joining me in this adventure.
Please like, share and subscribe if you haven't already..........
    I APPRECIATE YOU ALL !!!!!!!

Really fun to watch, thanks for showing. Personally before I would crank up a 2stroke DD I would open up the valve covers and make sure the rack and injectors weren't stuck, but it sure is a pain to have to do all that, I'd be tempted to get lazy if it was really hot lol. But they usually run away when people crank them up because the injector rack get stuck in the full fuel position that it shuts down in by default. That happens more than turbo shaft seal leaking oil into the turbski which really is a true run away them getting stuck in full fuel position isn't a true run away given if you starve it for fuel it can't run unlike when it's sucking down it's own oil for fuel that is a true run away.

thank you for watching man…. im impressed you know the difference between a runaway and a real runaway. most people don’t, including people posting videos of runaways that aren’t. if its running on its own fuel and can be killed by shutting fuel flow off its not a runaway, although if you left it at full throttle it might eventually let go…
coincidentally after putting fresh batteries in it and a couple steer tires and fresh fuel it made a 1,000 mile drive to a new owner in ohio with no trouble. love those old detroits.

Boy that lit up relatively easily. Some wiring problems to fix most likely plugged up fuel filters and she be ready to fly again. Those old 2 strokers have a unique sound to them. Maybe whoever looked at it bought it. Looked to me like a lot of work to straighten out it’s issues tho. Lot of that bracing around everything in the back needed repair but if a guy had the stuff and the knowledge it appears salable. Can’t wait to see the next video like the variety of projects

@@freebir73 this one is for sale. Engine and trans are pretty fresh. Chassis is rusty and interior is rough. 5k would likely buy it. Not mine.
