Great review. Nice roundup of the highlights without the constant and unnecessary negativity. I especially enjoyed your realistic discussion of added features when coming from an older phone, not last year’s model!
The best iPhone review I think I’ve seen! So thorough but relatable (not just listing off tech specs). Great dry humour too…..As a Brit, that’s appreciated 👍🏻
Apple iPhone users are the only premium smartphone users to upgrade to the latest phone and then also openly say they have little to no intention to use any of the new features that differentiate the new phones from previous models like cinematic modes, portrait mode, RAW 48mp still captures, the photo capture button, the new shortcut button, and especially always on display, which uses a negligible amount of battery power to work, etc. People complained about the iPhone not having AOD and when they finally gave it to us "The first thing I did was turn it off."
excellent. For phone call quality, this is actually important for business users. Not upload/download speeds but actual call reliability and quality. I'm curious what you found. Thank you!
Refined = underwhelming. No AI (yet). No 8K recording. No USB 4. No Promotion 240 MHz. No reverse wireless charging. No true multitasking. No 48/48/48 MP cameras. No Aquamarine colour. It is an iPhone 15 Pro Max S. Apple should be embarrassed by this mediocre launch.

Great review. Question; how is the battery life with 18.1? I’m in the “brave” category, but not at the cost of a large hit on battery.
I've been running 18.1 the whole time, so my all-day battery life test was done on the beta.
