It's such a shame that he turned to heroine so constantly. I heard it got much worse after Bonham died and he just couldn't play anymore. He's still feeling the effects today, which is why much of his athleticism and dexterity is gone unlike Clapton's or Beck's who are all similar ages

Everyone but Beck for me. And not the Stones or Page in their prime, first time for seeing stones was Steel Wheels and first time for Page was on the first Page/Plant tour. Also for Aerosmith it was Back in the Saddle tour in like 84 when Brad and Joe came back. But I also saw Permanent Vacation and Pump tours, which was their 2nd prime IMHO.

He's got nothing more to prove even in the 1990s , Page then already knew he fronted the biggest live band in history and beyond. Nothing could ever top that, anyone else on this stage wouldn't argue that either, they were just idiolizing being on stage with Jimmy Page.

Now, Jimmy is one of the great songwriters and arrangers of all time (and his studio wizardry is persistently underrated), but in terms of actual guitar playing he's pretty darned overrated.
For anyone talking about Aerosmith you should realize there is a reason Jeff Beck got the first solo. Page was his normal back row self as he usually is in these situations. Can't help but think he would have taken his turn though if not for the broken strap.
Looks like he didn't take his solo when he supposed to. I'd hardly call Jeff Beck a kid. He was supposed to take his solo when Jeff Beck turned his back (giving Page the stage). Just saw Jeff Beck once with the Jan Hammer group. Jan Hammer started off and it was pretty cool. I closed my eyes I guess just at the wrong moment and suddenly the song, I don't remember which one, just exploded into some of the most psychedelic shit I've ever heard, I opened my eyes to see that Beck had just joined in. Just awesome.
Page fronted the biggest band in history, as for Jeff Beck.....ha ha let him take center stage here to try and make a legend out of himself. Page already did that 20 years prior.

Rodzilla The problem is when they _think_ they're great guitarists. If they're good musicians, they'll know how to give each other space. Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, and Stephen Stills played well together at the end jam of the Supershow. Still, it's pretty rare to have a good reason for more than one guitar on stage.

He's got nothing more to prove even in the 1990s , Page then already knew he fronted the biggest live band in history and beyond. Nothing could ever top that, anyone else on this stage wouldn't argue that either, they were just idiolizing being on stage with Jimmy Page.
@@DG-sf9ei What? Jeff Beck certainly does not idolize Jimmy Page. He's a much better guitar player. Jimmy actually followed him in the Yardbirds.
Now, Jimmy is one of the great songwriters and arrangers of all time (and his studio wizardry is persistently underrated), but in terms of actual guitar playing he's pretty darned overrated.

For anyone talking about Aerosmith you should realize there is a reason Jeff Beck got the first solo. Page was his normal back row self as he usually is in these situations. Can't help but think he would have taken his turn though if not for the broken strap.

Just saw Jeff Beck once with the Jan Hammer group. Jan Hammer started off and it was pretty cool. I closed my eyes I guess just at the wrong moment and suddenly the song, I don't remember which one, just exploded into some of the most psychedelic shit I've ever heard, I opened my eyes to see that Beck had just joined in. Just awesome.

Rodzilla The problem is when they _think_ they're great guitarists. If they're good musicians, they'll know how to give each other space. Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, and Stephen Stills played well together at the end jam of the Supershow. Still, it's pretty rare to have a good reason for more than one guitar on stage.
