      It's such a shame that he turned to heroine so constantly. I heard it got much worse after Bonham died and he just couldn't play anymore. He's still feeling the effects today, which is why much of his athleticism and dexterity is gone unlike Clapton's or Beck's who are all similar ages

      He's got nothing more to prove even in the 1990s , Page then already knew he fronted the biggest live band in history and beyond. Nothing could ever top that, anyone else on this stage wouldn't argue that either, they were just idiolizing being on stage with Jimmy Page.

    • @blppt
      @blppt 2 года назад

      @@DG-sf9ei What? Jeff Beck certainly does not idolize Jimmy Page. He's a much better guitar player. Jimmy actually followed him in the Yardbirds.
      Now, Jimmy is one of the great songwriters and arrangers of all time (and his studio wizardry is persistently underrated), but in terms of actual guitar playing he's pretty darned overrated.

      Looks like he didn't take his solo when he supposed to. I'd hardly call Jeff Beck a kid. He was supposed to take his solo when Jeff Beck turned his back (giving Page the stage). He didn't, then Flea jumped in to fill the void. Get a life dude, you are obviously not a musician. There's a lot of visuals there, that should have given a clue.

      Rodzilla The problem is when they _think_ they're great guitarists. If they're good musicians, they'll know how to give each other space. Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, and Stephen Stills played well together at the end jam of the Supershow. Still, it's pretty rare to have a good reason for more than one guitar on stage.
