I have been diagnosed with rapid dumping syndrome but I have never had surgery. None of the doctors I have see can tell me why I have developed this. It all started after getting pancreatitis with COVID and had ACDF surgery on my neck . It all happened at the same time. So they say I have exocrine pancreatic insufficieny, rapid dumping syndrome, over active gallbladder, fatty liver, and chronic gastritis. I went through all these symptoms for 2 yrs and saw tons of doctors here in Conyers Georgia and no one figured it out. They kept saying it was ànxiety and panic attacks. I had to do my own research and figure out what was going on then I demanded the test that finally got me diagnosed. It's been a nitemare having all these symptoms of impending doom, flushing, hypoglycemia, sweating ect. Now I'm learning how to manage my symptoms no thanks to the doctors. I think I may have found one that is actually going to finally help me understand this condition I have. And thank you for sharing your video.
Thank you Dr. Proctor you explained it perfectly. I have had an occasion where Dumping Syndrome made me pass out and get an concussion. Have you heard of this before?
Hi, this is not normal. We would recommend scheduling an appointment with your bariatric provider to make sure there is nothing else going on such as a vitamin deficiency or another health condition.
Extremely frustrating to hear it as a good thing when I’m dumping with everything I eat. I am miserable. My vitamin levels are normal with the exception of my vitamin D. Currently on 50,000 twice a week and 5000 daily for the past couple of weeks. I hope it starts to help. Starting to feel hopeless 😞.
Hey, sorry to hear this. I don't buy the idea that it's only sugar that causes pain. Large proteins are supposed to be broken down in the stomach first( The enzyme pepsin plays an important role in the digestion of proteins by breaking down the intact protein to peptides, which are short chains of four to nine amino acids. In the duodenum, other enzymes- trypsin, elastase, and chymotrypsin-act on the peptides reducing them to smaller peptides). Are they saying that a big piece of steak that just flops into your jejunum, bypassing all the important communication that happens in the duodenum, is NORMAL?!
Thank you for this. I had a gastric bypass nearly 7 years ago & I still get dumping syndrome sometimes. I now suffer from Gastroparesis & this seems to make the dumping worse just lately. A few days ago I had something to eat & had dumping. Instead of being sick I had to do a no 2. It was awful. I’m curious - why does Gastroparesis make dumping syndrome worse?

I just had this too. I had an episode, got up to go to the bathroom, and passed out.

Make sure to take D3, not D2. D2 blocks the immune system. I like Carlsons liquid D3 6000 IU per drop.

Won’t help. I take 50,000 every other day and still get dumping every day every time I eat. Hate it
@analanuza1974 do you stress a lot or have anxiety?
What if you have dumping syndrome but never had gastric bypass?
My question too!
Great information 🤠
Glad it was helpful!
Can it also occur if you eat too much?
I didn’t know you could still have a 12 years post bypass surgery but I found that out last night😢
I had gastric bipass over a year ago this happens to me often enough it hurts big-time though
How do you manage it.
Sorry to hear. Does avoiding sugary food help?
I got it without surgery. And I usually get it after eating fatty foods, not sugar.
Thank you for this.
