How soon after surgery is it safe to do an EGD? My brother is currently having this problem. He had a partial gastrectomy to remove a tumor, 2 weeks post op and a dye study shows nothing is going through so now they want to wait for about a week to do an EGD to diagnos the problem. I am just curious if 3 weeks is not too soon to do egd post op
