I still cry when I think about the life those kids were/are living. I had a hard childhood and now at 35 I am still dealing with ptsd etc. I hope they are being better treated now. PhillipD deserves massive props for helping them. The parents seem to be still painting themselves as victims though.

Problem is, suppose that they really are well-intentioned from here on out and changed their ways... put yourself in their shoes, how would you get people to believe that that's the case? It's a difficult hole to get yourself out of. Once people see you as a criminal, it can be hard to get them to see you as something else.

Same here, I am no mother however my father was mentally and physically abusive. Luckily my mother divorced him 4 years ago and all though he has scarred me and I will never be the same, I'm beginning to adjust. This father reminds me much of mine. Many things creeped me out about him immediately example their apology video, He kept glancing at his wife, not because of sympathy but he was angry he had to apologise. Their children definitely have issues when it comes to anxiety attacks, (I recognise them all too well.) and now have started copying their behaviour. (Oldest step-brother) Everything about this family disgusts me and I hope the children are returned to his ex- wife and her sister.

I know most pranks on RUclips are fake with actors. However, it is an entirely different situation when you involve children into something like this. Those children are clearly affected by this even if they could go back to a life where this is not the reality or not. I would prefer if this was fake, but I strongly disagree with it either way. Culture is different and it is important to respect that people have different ways of raising children. However, raising children like this (2:26) is not socially accepted nor accepted by laws in the US. Sadly being raised under such circumstances seem normal for some. This should not be the case, and instead of spreading the word that this is ok, we should all make sure no child nor adult believe this is an ok treatment of children.

There are better ways to reduce the number of sexual violence that happens during this music festival.
well, given the number of sexual assaults and rapes in Sweden recently, I understand why they are doing that. Yet it's a disproportionate action. They just don't want to say what is the actual root of the problem. If you look at all the reports there seems to be some kind of pattern, but hey they chose to stay in denial, who am I to judge? I don't pretend that I have all the answers but Sweden turned into the European capital of rape, and deep down they know why.

Dylan Stone there definitely have been more rapes as a result of migrants. They are generally speaking living in shittier areas and less educated. I'm not going to deny that. The DO5 situation most likely will NOT change much, those parents have deep seated problems that were there way before they had kids. I would bet THEY had been subjected to abuse as kids themselves. Parents like this will either recover and do better with the kids OR HIDE the abuse more closely and most likely use a different form of abuse, be it money, love, attention, freedom ect. Remember, a snake will still bite, a cat will claw you, a dog will bite, a pyromaniac will burn, ect it's in the nature of the Animal.(And we are Animals at heart, VERY cruel ones) People hardly EVER change, DON'T get deceived by the fluffy, sad story being pushed on the world now. I agree with Philip. When hate speech is silenced it gives them power. By forcing them to be quiet it tells them that we fear what they're saying, that their voice has power over us and it drives us to act.

So my neighbors gave me a bag of bagels because they're nice human beings. I ate a couple and put the rest in the freezer but I didnt slice the bagels in half. So now they're frozen and I dont want to take the whole bag out and defrost it, cut them in half, then put them back in the freezer because they'll go stale. Use a hacksaw to cut them in half while they are still frozen and put them back in. If a hacksaw is not available, a chainsaw or plasma-torch might also work. But in all seriousness, just go buy some new fucking bagels if it's that big of a deal lol.

So I was asking my sister who works in neonatology about the Charlie Gard story she said that one of the reasons that they wouldn't want to let the baby go home was that in order to go home they would have to put a tracheostomy in the baby's throat which from what she has seen with the health of the baby would be a lot of additional pain and suffering for the baby. She says that hospitals usually do not step in and go above a parents wishes unless they really feel that the baby would undergo way too much pain and suffering.
Two of my partners in the past have sexually are assaulted me and surprise!! They're women. I dunno why people automatically assume that women aren't capable of sexual assault, as if they exist in a moral vacuum. Even after Hermione heard some girls talking about druging Harry, they didn't do anything against it. I still don't understand why they didn't tell the professors about this. RUclips is so strict to be family content even to a point that they demonitize videos with the words jail or prison. My question is why do I get ads of the opposite (drugs, alcohol, innuendos of sex, etc) shoved down my throat? If they're going to demonitize videos, then they should have the same policy on ads too.

They are in the middle of a court case now. Custody for now, yes, but there can't be a criminal trial until after an investigation, and there hasn't been enough time for a full investigation to be completed yet.

Watching what happens to those kids is horrifying. I grew up in home that was almost identical, but at least my family was not profiting off our misery. The daily emotional trauma that took place was to much to bare. It is going to take years of recovery for these kids to move past what they have been subjected to. To blame anything that is happening to this family on Phil is insane. They have to deal with the consequences of their actions. My only hope is that these kids become stronger from this experience, moving ahead will either make or break them. It is creepy how much Daddy0five looks like my real father. I know that he is not because my father is currently serving life in prison for what he did to my family. Let this be a cautionary tail to Daddy0five, "you need change or you will end up like my father." Some may think that it's different from my experience, but I see this man heading down this exact same path. Love your kids like you love yourself. If you don't love yourself then do not have kids! It doesn't matter if your family "goes to the movies" when you treat your children that way and allow them to treat each other that way. Push them to treat each other that way in fact. I have clinical depression. It is IMPOSSIBLE to feel sorry for the dad and HIS "depression" when at least one of the children are going to have to have therapy later, if not more, directly because of those two. I grew up where me and my brother and dad would rough house and play jokes. We didn't do it this way. Nobody got hurt. Nobody cried. I didn't get terrorized for doing something my dad knew I didn't do. I have kids. I have a sense of humor. We joke around. I would never call bringing one of them to tears by yelling at them when I know they are innocent a joke. And no, my children are not special snowflakes. I have 3. They can be outright little shits at times, but I still love them and do not make them suffer for my own amusement or the amusement of a few sick people online that might have enjoyed these videos.

If you set a bar, where does it stop? She's your sister so it doesn't count can turn to she's your cousin so it's ok. She's your friend so that doesn't count. She's your wife so it's ok. Those children have suffered a lot physically and psychologically and are primed to extend it into adulthood and possibly their own children later in life. Phil whenever you talk about Charlie Card you mention the Government. The government has nothing to do with this situation, the judiciary is completely separate from the Government here unlike in the US. Great Orman Street Hospital is no normal hospital, it specialises in kids and dealing with them. I've had a friend with Lukemia who was there and my brothers friend with the same disease died there. They create an environment where kids can not only get the treatment in a kid-friendly manner but also that they can die in dignity.

I completely agree with you on the freedom of speech aspect. People should definitely be able to speak their mind and not face legal consequences for it. People also need to understand, though, that freedom of speech does NOT equal freedom from consequence in society. Hate speech can still get you fired. Ignorant statements can still get people angry and cause a negative reaction from them. And, furthermore, freedom of speech doesn't mean that people don't have a right to create a space in which they do not want to be subjected to hate. You can laugh and call names all day at people who want a "safe space" but many don't realize that they create a space they themselves feel safe and unpersecuted in the people they surround themselves with and the content they consume all the time.
What's interesting is that people are hypocrites to the extreme they don't realize their own hypocrisy. Hell I'm guilty of it! For the girl peeing on the American flag, it enraged me, this is the country that took my family in from a war that could have been won if they stuck it out for a few more months, this is a country that I was born and raised in. The vulgarity, the name calling, the violence?!?!? NONE of that happens in a normal family. My kids are 13 & 11 and I've never once cursed at them nor called them names and haven't found the need to have them slap each other either. I don't blame any of the children for what they have done in these videos as behaviour like that is nurtured and encouraged, most children at their age have the mindset of 'be the abuser rather than the abused' and they can actually start enjoying doing the things they do to receive praise from their parents and it grows into self-gratification. However, raising children like this (2:26) is not socially accepted nor accepted by laws in the US. Sadly being raised under such circumstances seem normal for some. The DO5 situation most likely will NOT change much, those parents have deep seated problems that were there way before they had kids. I would bet THEY had been subjected to abuse as kids themselves. Parents like this will either recover and do better with the kids OR HIDE the abuse more closely and most likely use a different form of abuse, be it money, love, attention, freedom ect. So my neighbors gave me a bag of bagels because they're nice human beings. I ate a couple and put the rest in the freezer but I didnt slice the bagels in half. So now they're frozen and I dont want to take the whole bag out and defrost it, cut them in half, then put them back in the freezer because they'll go stale. But defrosting a bagel at a time will take such a long time. What do you think I should do?

So I was asking my sister who works in neonatology about the Charlie Gard story she said that one of the reasons that they wouldn't want to let the baby go home was that in order to go home they would have to put a tracheostomy in the baby's throat which from what she has seen with the health of the baby would be a lot of additional pain and suffering for the baby. She says that hospitals usually do not step in and go above a parents wishes unless they really feel that the baby would undergo way too much pain and suffering.
Two of my partners in the past have sexually are assaulted me and surprise!! They're women. Watching what happens to those kids is horrifying. I grew up in home that was almost identical, but at least my family was not profiting off our misery. The daily emotional trauma that took place was to much to bare. It is going to take years of recovery for these kids to move past what they have been subjected to. To blame anything that is happening to this family on Phil is insane. They have to deal with the consequences of their actions. My only hope is that these kids become stronger from this experience, moving ahead will either make or break them. It is creepy how much Daddy0five looks like my real father. I know that he is not because my father is currently serving life in prison for what he did to my family. Let this be a cautionary tail to Daddy0five, "you need change or you will end up like my father." Some may think that it's different from my experience, but I see this man heading down this exact same path. Love your kids like you love yourself. If you don't love yourself then do not have kids! It doesn't matter if your family "goes to the movies" when you treat your children that way and allow them to treat each other that way. Push them to treat each other that way in fact. I have clinical depression. It is IMPOSSIBLE to feel sorry for the dad and HIS "depression" when at least one of the children are going to have to have therapy later, if not more, directly because of those two. I grew up where me and my brother and dad would rough house and play jokes. We didn't do it this way. Nobody got hurt. Nobody cried. I didn't get terrorized for doing something my dad knew I didn't do. I have kids. I have a sense of humor. We joke around. I would never call bringing one of them to tears by yelling at them when I know they are innocent a joke. And no, my children are not special snowflakes. I have 3. They can be outright little shits at times, but I still love them and do not make them suffer for my own amusement or the amusement of a few sick people online that might have enjoyed these videos.

Those children have suffered a lot physically and psychologically and are primed to extend it into adulthood and possibly their own children later in life. Phil whenever you talk about Charlie Card you mention the Government. The government has nothing to do with this situation, the judiciary is completely separate from the Government here unlike in the US. Great Orman Street Hospital is no normal hospital, it specialises in kids and dealing with them. I've had a friend with Lukemia who was there and my brothers friend with the same disease died there. They create an environment where kids can not only get the treatment in a kid-friendly manner but also that they can die in dignity.

I completely agree with you on the freedom of speech aspect. People should definitely be able to speak their mind and not face legal consequences for it. People also need to understand, though, that freedom of speech does NOT equal freedom from consequence in society. Hate speech can still get you fired. Ignorant statements can still get people angry and cause a negative reaction from them. And, furthermore, freedom of speech doesn't mean that people don't have a right to create a space in which they do not want to be subjected to hate. You can laugh and call names all day at people who want a "safe space" but many don't realize that they create a space they themselves feel safe and unpersecuted in the people they surround themselves with and the content they consume all the time.
