  • This tutorial will show you how to make my cluster stitch hat. It is made up of cluster stitches. I show you how to do the beginning cluster stitch and the regular cluster stitch to make this hat. It also has single crochet stitches and front and back post double crochet stitches. This hat was made to fit an average size woman's head. You can make this any size you desire with the measuring formula I give in this tutorial.
This video also includes a giveaway!!! Each month I do a giveaway and this month it will be two skeins of Premier Yarns Appalachia and an UGG Pom Pom. The yarn details are that it is a chunky or bulky weight yarn. It has 140 yards or 128 meters. It is 3.5 ounces or 100 grams. It is 90% acrylic and 10% alpaca. I bought this yarn at Michael's. The recommended hook is a size 6.5mm or a US K hook. The recommended knitting needle size is a 6mm or a US 10 needle. The pom pom is by the brand UGG ( I bought this at Bed Bath and Beyond) and it is approximately 7.5 inches in circumference so it is a bit larger than the ones that I have bought from Amazon in the past. It says it is an ornament but you can use it for whatever you'd like!
To win this yarn and pom pom you have to be a subscriber and comment in the comment section of this video on what is your favorite fiber to work with when making a project! Thanks to all of my subscribers for making this channel a reality for me! I appreciate you all. I will leave the giveaway open until February 26, 2019 and then I will draw names from the comment section. I will make a video of the winner when it is picked! After the winner is picked, you will need to email me. Details will be in the description of the giveaway video.
Happy creating and good luck to you all!
**Giveaway is closed, see the winner video!***

Many years ago I would deem myself as a yarn snob but these days I use a variety, but I am very partial to alpaca when I can afford to splurge or when I’m gifting a project. Thanks again for the awesome tutorial!!

I am grabbing my bulky yarn now(so glad i have some!!), this hat is great! I've never used the Appalachian yarn, it looks gorgeous with color changes as a hat! My favorite fiber is a cotton blend. (Bernat softee cotton or gazzal baby cotton). Thank you for the giveaway, thank you for the tutorial even more!!! ♡♡♡

Cute. Love that if we win we already have a project lined up. I mostly work with acrylic but my favorite yarn I ever had was a 30/70 cotton/bamboo in a pearly blue. Made up a supper cute summer top and shrug. Now I just need the summer weather to return.

This is so cute. This will be my next challenge to try. I got the scarf 🧣 down lol so far I can’t say I have a fav because I just started and I’ve been watching videos to learn about different yarns and see what’s best to buy. I’ve purchased red heart, sashay and the baby ones. I liked them all but still plan on adding more different types. Awesome video. Wonderful skills.

Goodness! I’m new to your channel and I’m fairly new to crocheting. So, I don’t have much experience with too many fibers. Naturally, I’ve used a lot of acrylic, I’ve tried some cotton. I’ve also tried polyester. My favorite so far is polyester because it’s softer. But I’d like to try some wool at some point. Thanks for the tutorial. Your instructions are easy to follow. 😊
