Gorgeous, gorgeous hat!! Beautiful and fun to crochet!! Thank you, dear lady Alana!! Such creativity!! Don't get confuse on rows 6-20 keep knitting as she states it. It is a continious 60 stitches. Just don't forget to knit directly behind the front post half double when knitting the half double crochet. I kept forgetting to do that!!
Thank you for showing the same pattern hats SIDE BY SIDE made with 2 different size hooks. Your instructions are VERY clear and I like you using your gold needle as a pointer. 😃
What a pretty hat! I liked it in white but I love it in pink! I have to make this! And the scarf to match...MORE yarn to buy!! lol Thanks for a terrific tutorial! xx
I know I'm a little late to the game here for this hat, but I'm having a problem with the repeat round, when I do the fphtc, the two hdcs, I only have one hdc left to dec with. How do I decrease on all the rows afterward?
I figured it out after about 45 tries. I wasn't getting the stitch directly behind the post. I thought I was, even when pulling it forward to see it, but I lean a LOT when I crochet, so even pulling forward wasn't helping. So I did it again, counted my stitches again, but this time I did it from the inside of the hat to see where I was going wrong.
I was thinking the same thing, but when you do the hdc behind the hdc, that's technically adding an extra stitch. And when you do the decrease you're equaling it out. If you didn't do the decrease, it would add an extra 15 sts each row. But with that decrease you're keeping it at 60 sts each row

Same here when you decrease you lose stitches, idk know how to keep repeating for all of those rows. I feel like I’ve just wasted hours

Looks awesome, Alana!! I think I will try this tomorrow. I’ve been on a hat kick lately. I’m working on 3 different CAL’s right now too!!
Holy Cow! 3 CAL's ! lol. Thanks Linda! 😊
I don’t know if I missed something or what but how can you, if we keep repeating a decrease don’t we lose stitches, I’m lost!

This pattern looks like the Divine hat.
The Divine Hat is WAY different. It has FPDC and shells.
Can you not do the hdc and then the fpdc? That seems easier, at least for me. ♥️Ya
Ummm.. you can try and see if that works. I'm not really sure. lol 😊
I just have a big noggin
