Ube Custard Cake with Macapuno, SIMPOL!

- This dessert is a combination of ube cake and leche flan. It is beautifully layered that you can enjoy the two desserts in a bite, plus a sweet macapuno! Try this at home and tag us!
INGREDIENTS:
For the Custard
Set A:
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup water
Set B:
6 egg yolks1 can condensed milk (396 ml)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
For the Cake BASE
Set A:
1 cup cake flour
2 tsps. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
Set B:
1/4 cup Golden Fiesta Palm Oil
3/4 cup granulated sugar
4 egg yolks
1/4 cup water
2 tbsps. ube flavoring
Set C:
4 egg whites
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 cup granulated sugar

Hi Chef! I like all your Simpol recipes. I just want to ask why didn't u put any evaporated milk on your Flan mix? Is it really needed? Some recipes they have it.

Hi chef! I tried to do this. But I failed. Yung upper part lang po naluto but the flan and lower part of ube cake di po naluto. I wanna know ano po kaya yung reason why ganon. Thank you.
Check oven temp and time. Cook a bit longer
It's at 150°C and 1 hr. Like dun sa simpol book instructions. But di po sya cooked.
Then I tried to extend the time for another hr and nag add pa 30 mins later on. Didn't help, chef. :(
Depends kasi sa oven. Calibrated ba oven mo? Try at 170 degrees
