The last year of high school even though he was asked to play for some colleges for different sports, he told me he wasn’t playing. He always loved playing sports but never loved the drama that came with it. Despite how hard he worked there would always be a nasty person trying to knock him down. I actually had a Mom come up and tell me another Mom said she was sick of hearing his name called over the loud speaker. I remember thinking, “Wow, I was just saying my prayers for her child when he broke his leg.” My son never missed a practice, a camp, etc. since he started playing as a child. He worked so hard. He did not play any sports his first year of college. One day while at school the first year, he sent me this song. I cried because I knew what he was thinking without him saying a word. It was so fitting. He started practicing again and running to prepare for the next year of college sports. Now he plays this song before his college lacrosse games. Thank you for lifting my son up.
