My soulmate and soon to be wife just passed January 8th. She was 26. We have been together for almost 4 years and we’re homeless fentanyl addicts that had finally gotten sober. I got clean first showed her it could be done it took her a bit longer but she had finally got clean and god took her. This song was meant for me to hear this brought me to my knees. This is an absolute masterpiece and you are so so talented. This is going to be a go to for years to come when i’m missing her. I love you Hope Lanae in this life and the next and the next after that. 🖤♾️
I feel you 💯, 3 years ago my husband and I were over celebrate recovery and he wanted to step down, it wasn’t a month later I caught him using, fuck dope!!! He oded a year and one month after I left him , I just couldn’t stay and watch him , I had to protect my children too😢
This is my wife's account. She passed away last year. She was abused by her stepdad at the age of 7. She had a hard life and it broke her no matter how much I loved my wife. She was lost and in pain. She was my light and now she's gone, her children don't have a mother and I don't have my light.
WOW!!!! I'm coming up on a year of losing my Wife to alcohol on the 17th... One of our greatest love was music just like this. Thank you, for given me a few minutes of Heaven!!!!
I lost my sister on my daughter's first birthday to an overdose, while my husband was working on the opposite coast of me, this whiskey myers song pulled me out of the dark places I was in. I even bought myself a harmonica, the other day my 4 year old heard your song and we played our harmonicas together too it. I love you're version and would call you a friend, keep on playing and keep on going love 💜💕 to anyone that needs to hear it today, you deserve to be here. It will be okay ♡ thats how your song makes me feel.
I play blues harmonica, you have a follower, welcome to my world and it is so cool that you play with your daughter, wish I could, but don't have any children except 3 that belong to friends taught them all to play 😎👍🎵👍🏻🎶
@laurahlouisa1254 Hi do you have professional management? If yes, please let me know their contact info. If not, I'd be interested in working with you. Thanks and in any case happy holidays!
i hope not because she seems like a sweet smart girl. No need to add that crap to her life. I think she will go far in terms of using her brains and not her voice and have a family with a good man.
I don't get why the narrator of this tale in the song completely disregards intervening in the life of this woman he is clearly interested in. It seems to me a tale of a young man who doesn't have the balls to shoot his shot at this girl and then proceeds to judge her silently while she crystal meth kills herself out of some pathological interpretation of Abrahamic values or pathological Abrahamic value who is to say. What is the take away from this song? What I am I supposed to observe with the help of the narrator or what questions does he bring up?
I've know a lot of people for a long time, meth and heroin are 2 drugs that have the power to change you forever. You can try to help them all you want. My friend got out of prison for using meth and when he got out I told him he could use my spare car to get to and from a new job. He relapsed and totaled my car, fled the scene and the cops knocked on my door. I told them I lent it to my friend. When they questioned him he told them I was lying. This was someone I knew for 20 years. They are clean now but things are different. His personality is changed forever. You have to understand these drugs can cause people to change forever. Not every one but iv met more people it's ruined than not, people who came from good places. Sometimes there is simply nothing you can do or say to help, no matter how hard you try.
@@graham8624 let me explain this for you. Every sentence has presuppositions, lyrics are a juxtaposition of sentences. Same! It's funny because it brought me to tears at one point. First time hearing the song and the singer both. Near the middle, second time the harmonica hit, gave me tears and shortly after a bit of a smile and laughter. Then the lyrics said "I saw you laugh through the tears" or something like that, and I was pretty surprised. Definitely felt connected to the song. Nice twang in the voice, too. The voice of an angel
Been there, done that. Worked hard. Was in the CAF ( candiand armed forces and other jobs) I've heard 100 thousand voices...Ive probably broken hearts and have had my heart broken more than once. This is the voice of an angel. Truly one that I can feel in my previously dormant heart..a thanks I cold never repay
