Billy is a generational talent. I saw him summer of 2023 and it was one of the greatest live performances I've ever seen. I highly recommend you all go so him live if you can! Seeing Billy live right now, you are literally seeing a legend in his prime. He will be remembered with the greats of yester year; there is no doubt of this.

For real. I saw this video and discovered one of my now favorite artists. Home is legit one of my favorite albums. It’s so fuckin food. Bluegrass with a heavy dose of psyche-rock. Can’t wait to eventually see him live, hopefully at a festival with Umphrey’s McGee or something.
Hard work got Billy where he is - a legend for inspiration in Doc Watson, and a good ol' flat picking old man. But Billy did the work, and it sure makes me glad to hear him just _smash_ it out eh. He's a legend himself now!

This was amazing when I first saw this, just face melting stuff. Then later I learned, that they are all _on shrooms_ here, Billy included. That explains the whole "what? which one? huh?" -type of start and barefoot Ben just standing about in the background. The whole vibe of this scene seemed so familiar, but even as a retired psychonaut, I couldn't put my finger on it. Never even occured to me, that someone would be able to play like this when your left arm feels like the right one and vise versa. But seriously, wtf? How can you do this on psychedelics? Unbelievable. I'm not a musical master in any means, but I can play and sing decent enough to have played some gigs through my twenties, but everytime I tried to pick up the guitar on acid or on something else "colorful", I'd feel like when I first started learning the scales. No f' cking way could I play _and_ sing at the same time while tripping, no sir. Truly mindboggling to watch this knowing the background story.
