    You should think about investing in a belt grinder because using an angle grinder overheats the metal and you cannot control the grinding angle resulting in an uneven grind.

    the knife is not cloudy, you did not have the right temperature and the spring steel must not harden into water

    That was not a good heat treatment.... the steel never got to critical temperature so it did not quench.... that edge is not hardened

      @@CreativeDailyWorks Bro you must quenching with oil.

    • @CreativeDailyWorks
      @CreativeDailyWorks  3 года назад +1

      @@yasinburakkurt8769 Thank you bro for your comment. Last time we have tried The leaf-spring steel quenching with oil made it Fragile and crack. However, we will try as your comment next time bro.. thank you very much again.

    • @yasinburakkurt8769
      @yasinburakkurt8769 3 года назад +1

      Bro if you are going to quench with oil, the temperature of the oil should be 50-80 degrees. If the oil is cold, the steel may crack. At the same time, if you do water hardening, the steel will not be flexible enough and there will be micro cracks in impact work. If you want to do a correct heat treatment, you should put the 800-850 (for spring steel) steel into 50-80(recommend 70) degree oil. Then you have to wait for the hardened steel at 180 200 degrees (until the color turns yellow). If you do not temper at 180-200 degrees, the steel will be very hard and susceptible to cracking. You are doing really good work. I follow you fondly and wish you continued success

    • @yasinburakkurt8769
      @yasinburakkurt8769 3 года назад +1

      You can also use a magnet to understand that the steel has reached a sufficient temperature. If the magnet does not attract steel, it means the steel is 820 degrees and it is ready to be put into oil.
