Just a heads-up Matt, those acrylic covers are just a means of holding SOME rays back, it does NOT take them away. You are supposed to wear glasses with the glass and still NOT look at the laser. I spoke to the lead tech at jtechphotonics who has a master's degree in this field who explained this to me in GREAT detail.
What a freakin' great idea. I got my F1 and the works a couple months ago and am gearing up to put it in use at public events shortly. I will be promoting THIS starting today. BRILLIANT!
I did a project with the Xtool D1 Pro for racing medals with the organizations logo on them. Good learning experience and made about $800 for about 100 medals. A lot of prep, but they turned out great and the customer loved them!
Hi Matt, At least in my area, most places require a ton of verification/ certification of insurance coverage, liability, etc before even entertaining the idea of having a laser inside a venue/event
Good idea! I had a similar idea when I worked a higher end Christmas tree lot. One where people went there as kids and now bringing their own. Take the fresh cut round from the tree they picked and turn it into an ornament. The company name, the family name and year.
Matt thank you for the video! I bought a p2 and f1 3 months ago. I’m a farmer and struggling to get going. I have the tools but I do not have the knowledge. Want a side hustle and was thinking fall and winter months I have more time. Your patron could you make a video maybe explaining it more and what it has to offer?
I had this exact idea a few years ago with my fiber laser for wrestling and jiu-jitsu tournaments my son was doing. I never had a good solution for shielding and ventilation indoors so I let the idea die but I figured you could easily make $1000 in a day with the kids divisions
@@laserengravingwithmatt Right on, let's see........that's "only" $600 an hour........not sure it's worth it..........sarcasm implied!!! Thanks for the quick answer!!!!
@@laserengravingwithmatt I am seriously considering adding this to my arsenal but I am curious, with the 2 watt, how long did that engrave you did, take?

One word to summarize this video, "Yep"! I love my F1 and starting to expand on the items that I engrave.
That is a great idea! You never fail to amaze me with all of your ideas. Thanks for the info!
Thanks
Thank you for this!

Heck yes

I definitely think it is worth setting up to do. So many tournaments around here

That is awesome
Great to see you with a laser again 🤣 This is a spectacular idea. Your brain never rests!
As a tip for those that jump on this, have a way for the customers to type in the names so you can copy/paste. Names have gotten very unique.

Congrats 🎉.
My Patreon, I do a one hour call one on one just you and we also do a teams live video with everyone in the group once a month
Your Xtool link takes you to the P2. Are you using the F1 or the F1 Ultra?
F1
I love your videos!! Thank you Matt!!
Thanks
What type of power unit would you need? Would the venue let you use their outlets?
Just a regular 110 outlet. You would need to ask.
Pretty cool idea
Where would i get the replacements for any I mess up? Sorry, I'm fairly inexperienced with the F1, and not familiar with any sports 😁
Hopefully the school or event that they’re doing the tournament at have extra
I took my F1 to a church market and made personalized slate coasters on the spot and it was like printing money.
Heck yeah that’s awesome

Yeah it is definitely untouched for sure and I agree. Thousand dollars a day.
How long did that engraving take? I was thinking something similar, but at a crafty fair. Curious on time per job.
2 minutes. Metal is slower than wood

Always love your energy and motivation. Hoping to buy a Thunder Bolt first. 🤞🏽
I have one. I did a video on that already
I got mine just over 3 weeks ago. I love it.
@Deafeningstorm that’s awesome
@@Deafeningstorm You get the Bolt or Bolt Plus?
@@TheExtremeElementz Bolt. I also got a Junior Rotary as well. Haven't used it yet.
Thank you
What was the cycle time on the one you did?
2 minutes
I round up
That’s a fantastic idea. As you know here in the Twin Cities, there are hockey tournaments every weekend all winter. Is that the F1 or the Ultra?
The one I have is the F1 here is the link XTOOL MACHNES: US Store: bit.ly/3RaWeVo

@kevinjensen9817 I round up 2 minutes
*$104k / $10 = 10,400. I’m doubtful to do this within a year.*
No way man. 2k a month. Where we live here for how many sporting events every weekend that would be easily done.
Minus expenses and taxes
@@laserengravingwithmatt
*This maybe Unique to where you live.*
@@laserengravingwithmatt Wouldn't it be $2K/week, not /month?
@matchstickdesignco yup
