I could follow a million stylists but what makes Lydia great is the educational part, supports sustainability and so much outfit inspo without the shaming of what is "cool" or "in at the moment". I have been getting a lot of compliments since I am putting all your advice to work and into my (thrifted) wardrobe 😍
@@ybe7011 nah, just copy paste Lydias looks and you are there 😉 just thrift for the most timeless pieces and natural fibers. Another stylist that explains well is Justine Leconte, she also breaks down styling into simple science
Trying to match my shoes/boots/footwear to outfits always feels like a minefield so thank you - always very happy to see videos like this- this is so helpful, thanks Lydia!! ☺️
Same here! Putting an outfit together is not that difficult for me, I have already learned something 😅 but shoes is where it all goes wrong, so I really appreciate any video on this topic. Maybe even how to match the right shoes, in terms of color, style, etc. would be really helpful to me.
I appreciate that you also showed examples with dresses or skirts for each boot. I wear skirts and dresses most of the time so it's helpful to see those specific examples.
So helpful Lydia!!! I would love to hear from you on: - styles of footwear you think are classic for A/W (boots, sneakers, etc.) and will last season to season - work bag or workwear accessories in general (I am in desperate need of a durable but fashionable bag 😅) - choosing the right cut for blazers and trousers
Great video! It really explains why some looks with boots don't turn out so good! As a suggestion, you could show in the end all the "right" and "wrong" next to each other, so we could visualize and understand it even better. Thank you!
I have a pair of tall black Ralph Lauren boots that I wore all over Europe when traveling there to visit my daughter over a period of 10 years! They were beautiful and comfortable and it was hard to finally give up on them. But I purchased a newer, but similar version of them last year…. Truly the most versatile pair of footwear I own with classic good looks. Black boots are the bomb!
Hello!! I’m from México and discovered your channel few months ago. I really love this educational part, as I can truly learn the basis of building an outfit, why something doesn’t work, etc.; so please keep doing it!! I find it very very useful ❤
Love this video 💕 Can you please PLEASE do a whole video styling the high boots? 🙏🏼 Just hit a similar pair and need inspiration on how to style them in different ways.
I really like the educational style video Lydia.I am 5’4” so if you could explain how to adjust your styling for the more petite person that would be great. I do my best to adjust your ideas to my height and older age but the concepts I know can be applied to all ages and height. By the way your hair looks lovely.xx
Brilliant! Thank you! That balance thing is really crucial, and when I fail miserably I feel uncomfortable all day- great timing, too, as fall is definitely on the way. Love all your vids- great fan of the shorts as well- love your style! Thanks for taking the time!🌹
So intuitive! I love when the energy aligns. I literally just screenshotted a bunch of outfits for inspo yesterday from insta. A majority were black boot outfits. Thank you for this ♥️
i discovered your channel in the perfect moment, because now in trying to create my own style and i really needed these advices. Love your vids and you're sooo beautiful!!!
Lydia, You help me tremendously in seeing the pieces In My closet that nod to the looks you model. The idea of balancing the proportions -like the heavy bottom with a heavy top brought me so many new outfit ideas already in my wardrobe- 😊
I love your videos so much. Thank you for giving us the why instead of just showing random outfits! I would love to see videos on: - What type of blazers are essential in your wardrobe (as versatile as possible) - Feel warm and look smart at the office at the same time Warm greetings from the Netherlands!!
If you could also do a video on pairing handbag colors with outfits that would be great. I always use a black bag with everything but it doesn’t always look good
I have just come across your channel Lydia and I am loving it 😍 Thank you for all the help and education to put in to your videos. I have done some of the don’ts and realized they didn’t work but could not figure out why. Now I am learning how to restyle my pieces and I am wearing MORE of my clothes. Keep up the great work!!! 👏👏
Lydia I am so happy to have found your channel. Your videos are so informative. I have missed the mark on putting together the most flattering footwear to complement my wardrobe. Thank you for these fashion lessons they are so helpful.
I would love if you could “shop your own wardrobe” to see how you come up with new ideas to put your outfits together. I would say I got quite good in combining things but often times I gravitate towards the same outfit concepts which makes it feel less interesting and less varied. Love your vids and Insta posts!
Thank you from Canada. I love the educational approach. I have so many pairs of boots, in all colours. I find it complicated to figure out when and how to wear them all. This is so helpful. And I am 5.0 ft, so petite dressing tips would also be appreciated. Many thanks
Another great explanation! I would love to see even more explanations using cropped mini flare jeans and other wide leg jeans with tops and shoe shapes you see as balanced
Super helpful! I love that you explored flat boot styling as I am unable to wear heels at all. Perhaps a similar video on styling flats and loafers? Thank you for all the tips and education..super helpful!
Great video on the why's and how's of styling. Maybe you could create a video on how to style silk shirts and/or colors in boots and shoes (burgundy, green). I like the idea of another viewer's idea of styling flared and straight jeans with shoes/boots. Keep these "how to" videos coming.
This is very cool. Would like to see your styling tips for petite women 5 ft as tall people can get away with things that short people can’t. Would love to see cool video on this
💟 Yes, I enjoy your theme of finding the right "balance & proportion" between shoes & outfit choices. Right now I have one chunky ankle boot but it's not my favorite because it's weighty, so I may donate them.Anyway, I look forward to wearing my tall boots, both flats & heels & explore more style options!. I also wonder how you would style cowboy boots...I have a black/red pair which I've never worn! Thanks Lydia...... 💟💜💟
Hi Lydia thanks for all your videos. Thanks for always putting all the links and alternatives. I have learned so so much from you. I love your updated elegant look. ❤
Oh I would love a video like this aborto colores boots. Beige, Brown and maybe a green or red. Which sometimes are harder to style. Thank you for this video! It was very useful and I even think it works for boots of other color just the same shape as these boots
Thank you! Yes very helpful. Would you mind touching on flats with dresses and skirts? Not able to wear heels any longer really has me confused about how to style for a semi-formal event.
My usual way to match shoes and boots with my outfits is to ask the mirror. ☺ It's great to see the options and compare them to understand how it works. I truly appreciate your expertise, Lydia❣
Please make a video about what shoes to wear with what pants in fall. There are so many pant styles now, it's really difficult to figure it out. Want my feet to be warm but still look cute!
So helpful and glad you will be doing more videos like this. Could you talk more about color of boots? As a petite I am always looking to extend my leg length in pants - Should I wear black boots with navy or black trousers, or with dark denim only? What about brown boots or ivory boots? I have similar questions about belts, which I notice you often wear. What is the most flattering way to wear them? Would love a video just on belts! Thank you for all you do.
Great video- Other topics- -Alternative shoe to boots Scarves -3 fool proof outfits casual, smart, dressy -How to cleanse outdated pieces in closet- what to get donate- what to keep and rework -Fall/winter dresses for casual and everyday -Hairstyles - it looks to be very much a part of your fantastic style Thank you!
Thanks for this video it was very interesting. This is why I find fashion and style so confusing though. I was literally reading an article from 2020 the other day that said the opposite of what you said about leaving a gap of skin between boots and a skirt. It said leaving a gap of 2-3 inches between ankle boots and a midi skirt was the perfect way to style them and not leaving a gap looks bad. There’s so much conflicting information out there on how to style things it becomes really disheartening and makes me feel like I probably look frumpy and outdated even when I’m really trying not to and have done my research.
Great video! My request is - I know you have featured loafers before but could you do a video on ballet flats and how to style them? Something like nude and black ballet flats for various occasions?
Hello !! Lovely video 😊 You got always such good advices 😉 and a very good sense in fashion. Could you do a video on how to style silk scarves ? Wish you success in your future projects!!
Love these educational videos! As someone who could do the oversized look that seems to be your awesome style when I was young and cute in the 90s, would love to learn how to mimic your look without feeling like I just look shapeless and frumpy.
Hi Lydia, I’m new here and I love how you style clothes! In fact yesterday I ordered 2 satin midi skirts because I had just watched your video on that. I can’t wait to get them and start using your styling tips. I bought a black one and also a copper color one. Many thanks for these wonderful videos!❤️
Hi Lydia! 🤗 Thank you sooo much for this type of content, I find it very useful. I would really appreciate you continuing to focus on this, pairing footwear is something I particularly struggle with 🙏❤️

I have been getting a lot of compliments since I am putting all your advice to work and into my (thrifted) wardrobe 😍
That's really impressive. It's nice to hear people are thrinfting instead of buying new. I need to get back into it. I'm sure you have a good eye!
@@ybe7011 nah, just copy paste Lydias looks and you are there 😉 just thrift for the most timeless pieces and natural fibers. Another stylist that explains well is Justine Leconte, she also breaks down styling into simple science
I just googled: "what does thrifted clothes mean" lol.. as it turns out, my closet is "thrifted to"
Yay. This is awesome!❤️
Agree! Couldn’t have said it better myself. All the reasons I love her too!
Love that you are showing us an unflattering style as well! It is really helpful😻

I’m a stylist myself and i’m so impressed how well you explained the concept behind the looks! Amazing job👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Perfect timing! My partner just received a pair of knee high boots yesterday and we’re figuring out different ways to style them
Sounds fun!
Love the "why" behind the styling. They are so helpful in teaching us how to dress better.
Great job!! 🥰 love your content! Always on point 👌
"How to style flared jeans" and "straight trousers"
Lydia gives sensible advice on how to style your wardrobe. I love the do this and not that. Keep helping us with what we already own. Love you!

I'm 50 and think you're tips are great and never fail to look good. Love the colours and styles you've chosen for any age!

Lydia, you’re my new favourite stylist! You are amazing! For a woman on my mid 30’s i find your platform really helpful.
Brilliant! Thank you! That balance thing is really crucial, and when I fail miserably I feel uncomfortable all day- great timing, too, as fall is definitely on the way. Love all your vids- great fan of the shorts as well- love your style! Thanks for taking the time!🌹
Thanks for holding so long on the unflattering style. ~ Taking one for the team, we THANK YOU!
Lydia, thank you very much! I’ve been looking for an explanation of how to style different types of boots for a couple of weeks. Really useful
This sounds like a fun journey. Enjoy!
This was an excellent video and very helpful. You did a great job of explaining the reasons why the boots worked or didn’t work. Thank you!
I love how u move buttons on ur outfits 😍
Love this video! Thanks. I would also like to see how to style flared trousers and jeans.

Very helpful & educational, one of the very few channels that explaining the “why” behind every piece🤍🌻
Beautiful hairstyle!

Bottom heavy word lives in my head rent free 😅. I always refer to your videos on for shoes, what to wear with what. Its very helpful ❤
This is my favourite style of video from you. So glad you are planning more like this.
Lydia, love this video! You've really introduced me to the slim & elegant ones👌🩷 Love them, so classy!!
So timely! I was only discussing the minefield of boots today!

Lydia, can you make separate videos on each style boots to give us ways to style them? especially the short chunky ankle boots! TY!!
Love this educational direction...thank you.
