Arthritis makes it unwise to wear long boots so when I wear my ankle boots I pair them with pretty colourful tights...with trousers though I have to just enjoy the frumpy look!
Fantastic video, I'm 5'2.. I'd never wear black ankle boots and white jeans together. I still thought those black ankle boots and skirt, without tights still looked good. Love how you show how outfits that don't go well together, that's where I get stuck, going out tonight, got a few outfits to decide on, jeans and dressy top.
That “sandwich dressing”, like with a black top and boots and white pants, is popular, but I leave that to the tall ladies. As a petite like you, Chi, I so agree, the color of the footwear should be similar to the pants for the longest visual line (socks, too, if exposed). As a mostly dress/skirt wearer, I match my boots and tights to the dress or skirt, too. I love a short skirt with matching thigh-boots and tights, it shows off my long, slim legs. (I’m a relatively long-legged, short-torso, petite).
Wow! I am new to your channel and just now discovering everything you have to offer, all the links and style videos. Not sure why it took me so long to find you but you are exactly what I needed to get my style right. Especially now with the holiday season and I want to shop for new clothes on sale. Plus I am petite. I literally was thinking to look for boots and then I spotted this video and had to watch it. Very informative! Afterwards, I clicked on the "more" description and saw all the links to the outfits and much more for sure. I definitely will be spending time going through everything because I like making informed decisions when I shop. Thank you so much, you are amazing!
Wow Chi, this video was extremely helpful. I am short and love boots, here you illustrate all the mistakes I have been making! Have not seen your videos in a while. You look amazing and great info, thank you much
Ankle boots in the UK were called pixie boots or chelsea boots in tje 80s i had 12 pairs in different colours as they were affordable then when i was 17.❤
I'm 5'2" as well but I don't like heels. I like flashy shoes and try to match them with the trousers to avoid horizontal cuts. But what are the options if I want to wear chunky boots? I'm in love with Embassy London shoes and fancy a pair o chunky booties. How can I wear them?
Honestly, those details you speak of have been addressed by her in many other videos. If she were to stop and explain every single detail every time, the videos would be unnecessarily long and repetitive.
Good video.. The big question here is what brands of shoes/ booties are the most comfortable to walk with? I am really struggling here to find good shoes and I have zero good boots.
I am not petite but have found your videos to be invaluable!! Thank you! I am long waisted with shorter legs so much applies. Subscribe non petite people!!!
I really like your videos. They are very useful and interesting. I had a question. We are already in winters and I would like to know how to be elegant wearing snow boots when we go out to work or to a restaurant looking good.
👏👏👏 Thank you for this one! Very informative & helpful. Also the split-screen is great to show the differences. Maybe you can make one for Coats for different occasions 😊
I agree, they look awful, even with maxi skirts and dresses because it still crops the line of the body. Better to wear long boots. Flat riding boots work well if you don’t like heels.
Honestly I thought Ankle Boots were easy to wear, I find knee length boots hard to wear. I feel like I can never wear them with pants or a dress. I feel like they only ever look good with skirts.
Knee-height boots should work for midi or knee-length dresses. For shorter dresses, you need to add similar colored tights as boots to lengthen your look and avoid that horizontal cut she mentions in the video.
I’m short and trying to figure out the best boot to wear with knee-length purple sweater dress. I thought light neutral bootie but doesn’t look right. Any ideas?
Having chubby calves means it's really difficult for me to find anything but ankle boots. Also pretty sure me wearing the stiletto heels would be dangerous for anyone in my general area. :(
I have horrible legs, short and thick set ankles, even when I was a size 8. I am also 5'2". I have never owned a pair of ankle boots, they just look awful on me.
You don't show any lace-up booties aside from the Doc Martens. I like lace-up booties with jeans or pants in a similar color to the pants as long as they have a slightly tapered toe. My foot is narrow at the back and wide at the front, I can make them fit without slipping. You can find them without really heavy lug soles. Of course that is a casual look. Very comfortable too.
Unfortunately most of the unchunky boots you show won't work for women like me that live in Europe and walk a lot on uneven sidewalks. Heels are painful and definitely NOT functional here. Help! I like chunky soles to keep my feet further from surfaces. They work great for walking my dog and wet weather.
Sorrel (and their dupes) make several versions of hidden wedge ankle boots with almond toes. The gum lug soles have great traction and the hidden thickness helps keep your feet comfortably away from cold, rough surfaces while still giving a sleek line.
I think at every example you showed, you look better in the ankle boots than in the tall boots. I think it's because that unconstructed, loose material of the tall boots are just not flattering on you. You are probably a Gamine body type, you should wear more tailored, fitted, thicker materials.
Nice video! In my opinion it wouldn't be necessary to wear sunglasses with all the good outfits. I would find it more realistic especially with the autumn or winter outfits with short sleeves for indoors not to see sunglasses each time.
I actually think the ankle boots look more modern with skirts and pants. Also, walking on stilts isn’t appealing. And you styled the boot outfits, whereas you left the ankle boots outfits plain. That’s just silly.
Great video! Also noticed another difference in the first few outfits. In the second version of each, you tucked in your top and added a belt.
Yes, she didn’t just change the boots, she completed the styling.
She also added glasses.

You need someone to tell you EVERYTHING ? What about thinking BY YOURSELF ?
@@solangelauthier2381WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?
Whatever your issue is, there was no call for you to make that snarky, cruel answer!

You are a breath of fresh air for us petites. So much advice and clothing choices exludes us. Thank you for your on point advice.
This is a such a good video. I’m not petite but I have very short legs. I love your no-nonsense advice and your style is incredible!
Not everyone can wear tall heels!!!!! 😣
Yes! Tall heels hurt my feet so much 😮💨
You can wear ankle boots with a stacked, lower heel, and still maintain the almond toe shape and slimmer style.
Arthritis makes it unwise to wear long boots so when I wear my ankle boots I pair them with pretty colourful tights...with trousers though I have to just enjoy the frumpy look!
You can wear tall boots with lower heels or dark tights with the dark booties
I would love to be able to wear high heels again !
Another winner video! Love the tip about tights with booties, you rock 🎉🎉🎉
I love ankle boots, they are my favourite shoes and I am petite and I look good in ankle boots. You have just to chose the right ones.
And the right length skirts, dresses, and pants.
ex@@janeandrews1790 Exactly.
I love my ankle boots.

The tights idea is great🎉
I am not petite by any means, but I find your advice to be great for all heights. Thank you!

I think this is my favorite video you have done! I love how you used the same outfit to show the difference! Thank you!!!

You do an outstanding job of making great fashion sense! Love your videos!! Thank you for sharing:)
What coats to wear with wide-leg trousers to look good? Especially when the coat is buttoned up? Please make a video on this topic ❤
I love chunky boots but as a petite I haven't found them easy to style.
I would love for you to add brands boots you are showing especially the lighter tone ones! Great video , thank you and Happy Holidays!
Your videos are really helpful!
You're solo good at this! Great advice!
I love your content. Thanks for all the tips. 👍🏼
Thanks for the styling tips I'm short as well

It would be more obvious- and honest - if you would not have changed the rest of the outfit too, eg belts etc
Yes, also low heels vs high heels. They should be the same type of heels.
Honestly, those details you speak of have been addressed by her in many other videos. If she were to stop and explain every single detail every time, the videos would be unnecessarily long and repetitive.
Can you do a video on flat shoes?
Yes please!!
Chi , you are the best and you look absolutly amasing ❤️🇸🇪

I'm 5'2", in my early 40s & also in Northern NJ - I love your videos! Would you ever wear a denim boot with wide leg jeans?
Tights are so uncomfortable to me. Any suggestions on brands that wear well and are more comfortable?
Wear thin light-weight leggings instead of tights. They feel less constricting than tights. They could look like tights under a skirt or dress.
Great info. Very helpful. Thank you.
Spot on. Just what I needed to know b
Thank you, awesome advice. I would like to know though how to actually style reptile and animal print booties since they are so popular this year.
Black tights regardless of the skirt and bootie color? What if the rest of the outfit has no black?
Thank you
Hola gracias por tus vídeos en español .
Sería genial si también estuvieran todos en español .😊
I wear ankle boots all the time and they look great.
Honestly I thought Ankle Boots were easy to wear, I find knee length boots hard to wear. I feel like I can never wear them with pants or a dress. I feel like they only ever look good with skirts.
And knee-high goes over my knee whereas mid-calf is just short of the right height
Knee-height boots should work for midi or knee-length dresses. For shorter dresses, you need to add similar colored tights as boots to lengthen your look and avoid that horizontal cut she mentions in the video.
At timestamp 8:57 , what boot are you recommending to wear with the black dress ?
Love your video but what brand are the gray leather booties and the suede beige booties?? ❤
Any link for thighs? I could not find any good one online yet. Please.
I agree with these points but u also showed the nice belts better in every “good’ pic
Omg I was cleaning out my shoe collection and didn’t know what to do with my 2015s ankle boots 😂
I’m new to your channel. What about hem length of pants? I’ve noticed the latest trend is slightly shorter, what’s your view on this trend?
Winter boots in snowy, icey areas are almost always chunky. Also I wear spikes on my shoes so I can’t wear pointy boots 😢
I’m short and trying to figure out the best boot to wear with knee-length purple sweater dress. I thought light neutral bootie but doesn’t look right. Any ideas?
Black and black tights
Thanks for the boots with thick soles.
Hi! Thank you. I love your videos and tips. I consider you my "personal" stylist 😊 BTW, I'm 4'11". So to me, you're tall(er)!
Can you do how to wear leather wide pants for petite?☺️
Great Advise! The wrong shoes destroy an outfit! Thank you
I am 1.58 cm tall.how many cm should my pants be?
Having chubby calves means it's really difficult for me to find anything but ankle boots. Also pretty sure me wearing the stiletto heels would be dangerous for anyone in my general area. :(
Animal print knee length boots would be 👍
Thought I was alone in this conundrum.

ankle boots are for jeans.

I disagree. Think her overall silhouette looked much better with the tall boots comparatively.
The thick sole shoes look like 🤡 shoes

On most women, ankle booties with skirts and dresses look clunky. They scream "fashion victim." In 15 years when you look at photos, you'll cringe.
