In Massachusetts in June turtles lay their eggs. This means you see them on the road. Many many times I find huge snapping turtles on the road. I will stop and risk my life to save theirs sometimes a 60 plus year old turtle very big and heavy. I'll put them back in the water. I find sun turtles as well. Lately I saw some turtles run over. It makes me so upset 😡. People are so blind they can't see a turtle crossing the street. I grew up as a kid lovng turtles. Everyone PLEASE be aware of turtles on the road. Some are extremely old. I’ve seen one this size in Maryland and it was chilling at the foot of a bridge where it gets really shallow and it’s also where we get off the tubes so as soon as I got out of my raft I saw that big mf and there was like 5 of us all connected together. We ran out of that river so fast 😂
