It’s dorky as hell though. I showed this to all of my classes of college seniors and they all said you drive this if you want to remain single. Everyone on them agreed. 😂
I've had mine since February and it continues to impress me. First Hyundai ever and really impressed by build quality, ride and handling, and commitment to the EV cause on behalf of the brand - and I love the fact that it looks like a cross between the Audi S1 and a Lancia Delta.

The Ioniq 5 was designed by Donckerwolke who has in impressive CV of models that includes the Lamborghini Murcielago and Gallardo. That is why the design of the Ioniq 5 stands out. yes I have an Ioniq 5. it is fantastic!
I think it's like a giant hatchback from the 80's trying to look futuristic. The design is an incoherent mess of smooth and sharp lines. Like the Frankenstein of cars. I absolutely hated it the day I saw it, and still do😂
I gotta disagree that Hyundais change in reputation started with this, in the last 20 years theyve brought on Peter Schreyer, ex head of design at Audi, and Albert Biermann from BMW M division to head the Hyundai N performance division, and for the last few years theyve made some of the best cheap performance cars in the Veloster N and now the Elantra N, along with some of the best bang for your buck luxury cars ever made with Genesis. I agree with basically everything you said about this car, its great, but its definitely not the thing that made Hyundai great out of the blue, they've been building towards this for years now.
Agree 100%. Hyundai does deserve some credit for their climb to this point, but this was indeed a widely accepted vault to near the top of its class while a lot of people still don't like Hyundai gas cars for some reason.
Down in Latin America they have earned a great reputation in the last 15 years as they have good quality-price ratio and repairing one is affordable. Plus it isn't a pain in the ass like many other brands where the pieces and repair shops are a dealership monopoly
@@ChristianRunsNY Hyundai (and sister Kia) ICE cars are highly regarded in Europe, across the range. Genesis however with the high-end stuff, will never be taken as seriously as it should be. Above a certain price point, European buyers are stubbornly brand sensitive - Mercedes/BMW/Audi/Range Rover RULE the mid-to-high end, no matter how much bang for buck, or qualitatively better a Genesis may be. SK are simply following the pattern so perfectly executed by Japan, 50 - 60 years ago. Deliver high quality and feature set at the right price...
The "Hyundai is cheap crap cars" reputation died a long while ago imo. I think they've been great since around the time of the last Sonata redesign honestly.
Ioniq 5 owner in the UK..had the car since November 2021 and its my first EV. I can honestly say this car is a game changer. I am a petrol head and I love the sound of a screaming V10 any day but for the tranquility and ease of day to day life I cannot recommend this car highly enough. Accurate range and concept car looks 👍
8:05 I think this assessment of Hyundai in the last 3-5 years is from someone that doesn't particularly stay in tune with the automotive space. Hyundai has been gaining market share and overall positive brand awareness for really the last 5-7 years but especially within the last 3 years. Their talent acquisition and products have been on the rise for many years now and it has shown in sales. The Ioniq 5 was just one of the more recent accomplishments but the Ioniq 5 was not the sole reason for a change in Hyundai.
Hyundai cannot scale up quick enough to get a meaningful market share. While BYD and Tesla are poised to crank out 5M-10M cars a year, Hyundai will be lucky to reach a capacity of 100K a year. They do not have the lithium contracts even to cover the battery cost. Tesla and BYD both place orders of $100BN a year for their batteries. I bet Hyundai is still at $20MN a year. I do not think Hyundai installed capacity will approach of 1% of overall EV volume. Good car, but not a serious EV contender - by their own estimates.
Came here to say this. He's clearly someone that's comfortably within the Tesla reality-distortion-field (and there's nothing wrong with that) and has practically zero perception of the "real world" as it pertains to cars. Hyundai/Kia/Genesis have been killing it for over a decade now. They've had very competitive vehicles in almost every category in which they compete, cutting edge styling (whether an individual likes it, or not, is subjective), top-tier tech (for the respective category/price class)... etc, etc, etc. This isn't even their first competitive EV (although it is their first widely available, "high volume" model).
@@veerkar Its not trying to be solely an electric car company like Tesla tho, their recent N performance cars have been fantastic, Hyundai i30N & the i20N have been pretty successful in the sports industry.
I went to the LA Auto Show a week or so ago and got to ride around in this inside. To me, this is a modern interpretation of what someone from 1986 might've thought an electric car would look like. I love it's stylish. It's very large inside and it's a very practical size.
Glad you got to try it and enjoyed it! Don't forget, though, Hyundai has been quietly dipping their toes in electrified and electric cars for a few years now, kind of an alpha test before the full pure electric-only Ioniq 5 (and 6 and 7 etc.). I owned the immediate precursor to this, the Ioniq Electric (there was also the Ioniq Hybrid which is more common in the US, as well as the Ioniq Plug-in Hybrid), and it was also really well-made, though certainly a previous generation (or "alpha version") electric car. There was also the Kona electric, so Hyundai certainly had a few models to practice with.
The Kona Electric has been great, but using the Bluelink app for remote lock or climate control is downright terrible. Sluggish, buggy, and slow to respond. I really hope they step up their game in that regard.
@@PlaneAwesome I hope so too. Myself, I used the Korean BlueLink app, and it was flawless. Hope they work out the kinks in other countries' versions too. What was a bit frustrating was that because Google Maps has been limited for so many years in Korea (yes even South Korea because of local laws), Android Auto doesn't use it for its navigation, instead turning to kakaonavi. I ended up using a mix of the car's native maps, Google Maps on my phone, and local Korean map apps to get around, depending on the situation.
The audio doesn't sound that good. Sure there are a few moment where it does sound like the studio but in general, it's worse. It really stands out when you're watching with headphones
Hyundai has been making an EV for a long time, the IONIQ. They were some of the first legacy automakers to have a really good EV with the IONIQ (not IONIQ 5)
You're right, but the Ionic wasn't a really great car... Charging and acceleration were really slow and the design was really outdated. But yeah, if was an early electric car.
All true. But it is worth mentioning that Ioniq was just an electrified version of ICE/hybrid models. Ioniq 5 was the first one build on an EV platform from scratch. I see a loooot of them on the streets last couple of months and it’s always a joy to look at.
This was my recommended car for one of my friends. He bought it some moth ago and he really loves it. Perfect small family EV. Backseats can be reclined, sweet charging animation and a blindspot camera while pulling over to just name a few. Pretty neat car in my opinion
Small? Have you seen it in real life? This design is so deceptive. When you stand next to it you look like a dwarf. Might be nice design but it's not a good design. Typical Korean product. They have no idea about what makes a good design.
While having a great in-car map would be fantastic, I think that Google and Apple Maps need to prepare for EVs. If they are not easy to use with the type of vehicle that is going to take an exponentially larger share of the market, then they are going to be left behind. (I don't think they will be left behind, I think they will adapt eventually, but it should be sooner than later)
Google is, and I'm sure Apple is too given all the talk about the car teams we've been hearing about. Ford will be replacing their native UI with Android Auto soon. Issue here is that the phone based apps don't integrate with the car, they are essentially just running remote screen from your phone on your car's display. So they don't know about the car state of charge or what its capabilities are. Ideal situation would be that the CarPlay and Android Auto from the phone could tap into some API's that the car exposes to enable the range and charger mapping situation.
Apple Maps has some sort of EV tie in for the Mach E, but as far as I can tell, only for the Mach E. Not sure why, but hopefully that will change in the near future.
@@curtisbme absolutely. Standardizing a way for the phone to gather all the data it needs from cars is what is needed. Hopefully they can find a way to do it. Granted, I don't expect Apple and Google to collaborate on anything so the best case scenario we can hope for is two disparate standards for the two different platforms.
I'd at least love software that allows data communication between eachother seemlessly. This way, even if apple and android auto are the so great, third parties could have something to contribute or compete with them.
outside of the US bubble, for the past 10 years, since the huge shift in design, hyundai is the "best value" choice in segments like golf (i30) and small cross over (kona). that has carried over to electric and the 5 looks amazing
Agree, Hyundai are the top selling brand in Israel for the past five years. We don't have a car industry so we don't choose "local" brands as they do in the US, Germany, France and Japan. People simply buy the best value cars.
I was giong to mention. Hyundai seems to really press the "bang for the buck" button on a lot of their models. The Kona Ultimate, which I have, for that price has a lot of features and amenities found in cars commanding substantially higher price tags. I really love my Hyundai.
I love all the detail the editors pay attention to for these videos, the intro was great, the fade-ins on point and the partially frozen background (at least I assume so) helped keep the focus on Marques, just great production quality!
I bought a Hyundai 2018 and it’s the best car I’ve ever owned. The amount of features and quality of life features the car has. I love it and it was so affordable. I’m excited to see the new normal of electric cars
Yeah, not sure what he is talking about. Kia and Hyundai have had a ton of car-of-the-year awards over the past 5+ years. They haven't been the cheap, lower quality brand for a long time.
Hyundai's been steadily increasing their reputation these past few years anyway, i wouldn't say it's as meh as you make it to be. Their i30 N, for example, is fantastic.
Noticed that too lately. Their N line of vehicles is dope, good designs & looks, performance, price Those feel like a cooler, more modern version of the Hyundai I knew 5 years ago
I have a non hybrid Sonata. And I chose it after test driving all the competitors. Accord, Camry, Altima, Passat, Acura ILX, Malibu and Mazda 6. Initially, Hyundai wasn't even an option for me. I decided to test drive just because a showroom was across the street from the Mazda dealership I was visiting. I am so glad that I took a test drive in a 2021 Sonata. I love the design and tech. Hyundai is not the same company as it was just a few years ago. It is as good as major Asian and some European manufacturers, if not better than a few of them.
Just FYI, a Canadian who own a 2022 IONIQ 5 got void warranty because of a scratch at the bottom of the car which is designed to protect the battery, and the dealership ask $61,000 to replace the battery, which is way more than a new car.
I have had the car for 6 months, and I am very satisfied. I have the option with the solar panel on the roof, and it gives me a few more kilometers per day. It may be symbolic, but I feel like we're on the googleo way.
The Kia Soul EV was really hitting that decent range, decent package, decent price point when Kia killed it in the US due to chip shortages, and focused instead on the higher price point EV6. I mean, that's fair, but it was also a shot in the foot in terms of getting EVs in the hands of of people like me. And I really want an EV.
On the topic of Hyundai's reputation, there's the Hyundai Veloster N which is basically a sporty hot hatch that got a lot of people in the car tuning world thinking "dang, hyundai can make a sick performance car." guess they're doing the same thing with their electric cars now too.
If I didn’t already buy my Model 3 before the price went up $10.5k on it, I’d have bought the Ioniq 5 or EV6 depending on which one I liked from the test drive.
@Alistair Balistair look at their recent releases and the concept vehicles. People are impressed. They have improved each year to being very good now. Go look at anyone's reviews recently of the brand... All glowing. They have done a good job delivering what people want.
Yeah it's a smooth transition, I'm sure it took time to get it just right, speaking of intros Apple will have an event in less than 2 weeks and I'm sure they will have a stupid cool intro unless it's just fully in person
I was a passenger on the ioniq when i visited it at NY autoshow this year and i agree every bit of what he says. It's a great car i would also recommend as along as they don't use boold batteries.

We got ours back in July and haven't been happier, you nailed the feeling of driving one, perfectly in this video. I highly recommend anyone looking into this or the EV6. As always, great video MKB. Keep up the great work!
I picked up a top spec Bolt EUV, less than $40k before trade, non-beta highway hands free driving included. It may not be AWD but I love it, great car for the money. My main issue with the ioniq 5 was that they locked too many features to the highest trim level.
I think the one can feature you did not mention here is 110 V outlets. This is huge to me, I can charge or use any appliance normally, I could go camping and use an electric stove if I wanted to. This is something that should just be standard in all electric vehicles and the only other vehicles that have this are the pickuptrucks so far, Good on hyundai for including this.
1:10 No sir, eventually we need to stray away from car culture. That is the best course of action. Adam Something and Alan Fisher have taught me well on the topic.
At least EVs will provide relief from the mindless notion that LOUD = powerful, which is mainly an artifact of piston technology. Noisy engines sound like they have more friction, giving the impression of inefficient racket.
In google maps you can add what type of electric plugs your vehicle accepts and when you search for charge stations it’ll show just then the compatible stations. So from there just plan for stops just like any other car.
We have 2 EVs, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the KIA eNiro, both from the same automotive group and they rock! The KIA eNiro is better value for an EV, but super happy with both. Hyundai is providing such good value for their EVs, they are amazing. We just finished a 1500 mile vacation with the Ioniq 5 and it performed really well My main challenge is that the dealers and the support network havent quite caught on. Getting knowledge support from dealers is a struggle
This is my favorite EV and when I first seen the design I instantly loved it. I see them a lot here in Southern California. I will agree that the interior is the weakest point. I wish they let you get a black infotainment system or at least reduce the amount of bezel. And all new EVs need to support the fast charging that Hyundai/Kia support.
Oh yes, I agree. The designs either from inside or outside are so futuristic and also yep I literally like it. In my country, there are so few people here have using that car and yeah the price is not too cheap neither too expensive, it's affordable price for an electric car from the features and storage they have available from that car 👍
@@jesselowe5346 39k? Yea okay with a price markup they no where near 39k I know I been trying to purchase one. And also u can't factory order one. So you screwed with paying this crazy amount
I totally agree with you about the Hyundai ioniq 5 EV. In fact, I went to a Hyundai dealership to put my name on the waiting list. Currently, I have a Subaru Solterra EV on order since February and no vehicle in sight. This is due to the recall back in June and still no remedy. Today is September 26. I’ve done a lot of research on the Hyundai ioniq 5 and all the reports have been positive. One of my neighbors have one and they love it!! I’m about to cancel my Subaru order. I remember back in the 1990’s Hyundai to many people said it was a disposable vehicle meaning it was cheap and it didn’t last long. Hyundai has made long strides and it’s paying off. They have one of the best warranties in the industry with a 5 year-60000 mile limited warranty. Most if the auto manufacturers offer 3 year-36000 miles.
Extremely high quality video. Thanks for reviewing this car. Very Specific about “Starting MSRP” and never provide “Price as Tested.” If cost is so important, then transparency is 100% necessary. Thanks again. Cheers!
Marques, the car actually can only theoretically charge at a 240kW rate. It has an 800V battery structure with up to 300 Amps. It can use a 350kW EVSE, which will give it the maximum charge rate.
@@Dontslaythybroski I also have one and we road tripped from Chicago to Denver with only 8 charge stops along the way. Mostly Electrify America stations at various Walmarts along I-80. The worst one was pegged at 66KW, taking about 45 minutes to charge to 90%, but the best ones went up to 225 and charged in the 20 minutes mentioned in the video.
The two things we need for EVs to finally reach mainstream acceptance are sub-$30k vehicles and doubling the number of charging stations available (and make sure they all work)
Yeah charging stations are currently the biggest hurdle that electric vehicles are going to need to overcome. I was really excited when Elon said he was going to open up the Tesla supercharger network to all EV’s cause that would overnight make buying a non Tesla EV a no brainer. But in typical Elon fashion he lied through his teeth so who knows loo
Glad to have you review my fav car in this segment. Disagree on the touchscreen vs physical buttons, I prefer them both. Especially the most commonly used buttons should be physical, as easily accessible as possible, some on steering, some easily under my right hand reach for my muscle memory. The reason I like this over a Model Y would be the HUD, the screen right in front of you, the physical buttons (all these three points make it less distracting and keep you focused on the road ahead) and design, it's quite a looker.
Production quality on this video was top notch, love to see you putting this level of effort in, (clear that not all videos can get this treatment right now)
Very smooth transition at the beginning 😍 If you do that again you should have the car go over bumps and track the graphics over the headlights so it's more impressive🚗
I have one of these in the RWD format with the slick factory matte paint. Amazing range (~500km per charge for me), razor sharp design, unreal charging speed, and I'm 6'5" and the interior space and legroom is brilliant. I've used it on multiple long (1,000 km+) trips in the boonies and mountains of Canada with no regrets. Even did a comparison on a relatively long (900 km) trip and it saved me more than 60% of fuel costs while only adding approximately 40 minutes to my trip time. My only real complaint is that I wish the sound system was better. My other car is an older Lexus with a Mark Levinson and it smokes the IONIQ's sound system. Other than that, I've had it since December 2021 and it has been breaking necks everywhere I go since. Don't buy this car if you don't want to talk to people because people will come running over to talk to you about it.
@@vincentlee4903 a handful of reasons. Canada offers a rebate on this car, I received the car within a week of ordering, and I got it below MSRP. Plus, I previously owned a Kia and I liked it.
These are cool! I live in a small rural town in Canada and I've seen someone driving one of these around a few times I think the look really good and unique the headlights are so cool would have been cool if the did an N performance Electric version
im glad you came around to the ioniq5, I don't own either however I have driven both and I prefer the ioniq5 over the model 3 or y in looks ,ride and style I still give charging infrastructure and quickness to Tesla but that's it , glad to see an unbiased review from someone who is not a Tesla fan boy, you may love Tesla but you can be fair to others great review
Still patiently waiting for this to go sub 25k. 28 is the lowest price local to me right now! I test drove it a few times, dual motor version, but I'd be happy with single motor and I *loved* it so much. Spacious, futuristic without any fluff extras. Really nice car to drive
Hyndai in my experience is one of the best mid range cars with amazing features, though I wouldn't agree with ford being on of the good ones outside US. They have mostly been outclassed and withdrawn from most markets and have little to no sales again outside US.
Ford is still in the UK sadly, they're pieces of junk man. There's a reason why Hyundai has made major strides and picked apart at market share across the globe. In the developing world, they're great, cheap to repair, cheap to run, and in the developed world, they're even better, cheap to repair, cheap to run, and still have all the fancy crap we can expect.
Really great video! I love how you focus on the most important bits, and call out the things that work well & others that need fixed. Would really love to see you tackle the Chevy Bolt, as it's about the cheapest EV option right now, which I'm guessing comes with a lot of caveats.
The exterior design is iconic, giving me the feeling of the future, but if the cockpit screen had the design and function match the appearance, it would be a competitive car in anywhere.
I’ve been a Tesla fanboy ever since I knew the Model X existed. When the IONIC 5 came out I knew that Hyundai was serious about not only rebranding themselves, but changing their entire image to be WAY more premium. In my futures garage it’s a real possibility it’ll be a Tesla and a Hyundai/KIA/Geniss
I just purchased a 22 Bolt EUV that Chevy dropped the price down by $6,300. So I was able to get the fully loaded EUV Premier Launch Edition for all options, including 3 years of Super Cruise, for $37k. It has heated and cooled leather (is it leather?) seats, Bose stereo system, a sunroof, 360-degree park assist cameras (or whatever the aerial view is called), and more. It's definitely a car you should have on your channel. Yeah, it's a Chevy, but just like you said...they need to rebrand themselves and the 22-model refresh of the Bolt is certainly doing that. It does only offer front-wheel-drive and a single motor, but it's still a very peppy car and fun to drive.
Thanks Marques!!! Glad u like “our” Ioniq5… Indeed our designers have been pushing very hard to “use this moment” to ask “why not?”… and built on the progress of the last years we are thrilled with the response to Ioniq5. Also of course the whole company moving forwards to challenge conventions. Ioniq6 out now and Ioniq7 coming :-)))… best wishes from Seoul!
I agree with all the comments about your intro and how cool af it is! Great work. The little I've seen of this car does make me like the exterior styling a lot, though I'm not too thrilled about all those touch screens on the inside. I do prefer buttons and knobs whenever possible when I'm driving, mostly 'cuz I don't like to take my eyes off the road to find the screen area i need for something. Tactile buttons/knobs are much better for this IMO. Also, in the rare instance that your screen/s don't work, can you still drive this car? Unlikely to happen I know, but my user-centered design thinking makes me consider the limitations with these types of design/styling choices. Having said all that, I'd probably choose this over a Tesla any day.
totally agree about tactile buttons and knobs on car's, umm, entertainment center? (idk what is it called) are safer in my experience because it'll vastly reduce the amount of time you took yours eyes off the road. sure, it'll be way way safer if driver don't operate it when the car is moving, but come on lol.
The lease to my Model 3 was up and I couldn't buy it out. We have another Model 3 in the family, I didn't want to spend $15,000 to get Auto Pilot and we needed something with more room for carrying crap. I received my Ioniq 5 two weeks ago and I love it. In fact it's the same color/trim as the one in your video.
Would love your take on the Chevy Bolt (especially the EUV). Despite battery recalls, it seems to me to be one of the more affordable EVs with similar features to the Ioniq without the design upgrades. Keep up the great work, your videos are great!
Aww, so brutal. My hybrid Volt is a marvel of engineering and really turned me around on my opinion of GM (that said, the Bolt seems pretty boring compared to the competition)
There's a car called the MG ZS EV. Which I read up on and test drove here in Ireland and has amazing value! Overall cost as well as the amount of features you get as standard and also the range. Not sure if they sell in the US, but if they do it would be 100% worth a look.
They don’t sell MGs here. Euro regulations are different, so it would probably take them some retooling to bring it to the US. It’s Chinese, which would make you think we wouldn’t like it, but consumers seem unbothered by that more and more lately. When carmakers bring products to the US market after selling them somewhere else, they usually try to push it up into the luxury space to justify charging us a lot more for it, because we are a large market of comparatively wealthy buyers. They’ve never tried to sell Dacias here, for instance. I doubt the MG would fit in, but we do need a properly cheap EV here.
@@wilmotown "large market of comparatively wealthy buyers" Europeans are used to spend a smaller percentage of their income on a car, because cities are denser and less car-centric. So in terms of EVs, you see higher sales for smaller "electrified city cars" like the Fiat 500e and Peugeot e208 here, vehicles which can barely fit an adult on the backseat. In the US, people commute over larger distances and spend more time behind the wheel in their free time as well, so they will make sacrifices elsewhere in their budget so they can afford a car with more range and comfort.
It’s 2024 and I am buying the Hyundai Ionic 5 Limited this weekend. I’m old AF (70) and I have never been so excited to buy a car ! This will probably be the car my kids will have to force me to give up the keys for, one day. 🤣😂

@@ChristianRunsNY reliability, basically anyone can build an electric car though

Good car, but not a serious EV contender - by their own estimates.
you have to AVOID LG battery.
They've also been selling EVs for years, sounds like he thinks this is their first EV.
Don't forget their Kia cars like the soul ev, and the niro
The Kona Electric has been great, but using the Bluelink app for remote lock or climate control is downright terrible. Sluggish, buggy, and slow to respond. I really hope they step up their game in that regard.
@@JayLew91 Thanks, I didn't forget them, I just didn't want to get too detailed hehe but thanks for mentioning them. ;-)

It’s definitely not small 😅 It’s the same size as an ID4. This car is big!

@@curtisbme Have you seen the next generation apple carplay that was unveiled recently? It basically does that. Takes control of everything in the car

💯 Agree. What’s up Tesla using a screen to control everything. I like regular buttons touchscreen or otherwise

The model X for me has such odd styling. Kinda looks like they just vertically stretched the model S
This dude came so far from when I first seen his RUclips videos . Shows hard work pays off and consistency 👍🏼
This car is cool as hell. If I was in the market for an EV, this would be my first choice by far.
Dolt.
Wait really? Out of all the available options, this one?
@@JM-fc9gm yup, especially at its price point
I bought this exact car back in April. This car is it.
Kia EV6
Yea i really like the car except the slow display. I am now anticipating for ioniq6 instead.
Mazda's still sticking to rotary dial for the infotainment system and dials for climate control which is a win IMO.
Hyundai and Kia are both killing the Design game at the moment. They’re pushing how futuristic cars could look like and we are all winning here.
Would love your take on the Chevy Bolt (especially the EUV). Despite battery recalls, it seems to me to be one of the more affordable EVs with similar features to the Ioniq without the design upgrades. Keep up the great work, your videos are great!
Chevys are shit..
yea the bolt is crap
Just say no to GM.
Aww, so brutal. My hybrid Volt is a marvel of engineering and really turned me around on my opinion of GM (that said, the Bolt seems pretty boring compared to the competition)
Everyone bashing the Bolt: do you own one? I’ve met 3 who do and they all love their Bolts.
There's a car called the MG ZS EV. Which I read up on and test drove here in Ireland and has amazing value! Overall cost as well as the amount of features you get as standard and also the range.
Not sure if they sell in the US, but if they do it would be 100% worth a look.
and they're about to release the MG4 starting @ £25k
They don’t sell MGs here. Euro regulations are different, so it would probably take them some retooling to bring it to the US. It’s Chinese, which would make you think we wouldn’t like it, but consumers seem unbothered by that more and more lately.
When carmakers bring products to the US market after selling them somewhere else, they usually try to push it up into the luxury space to justify charging us a lot more for it, because we are a large market of comparatively wealthy buyers. They’ve never tried to sell Dacias here, for instance. I doubt the MG would fit in, but we do need a properly cheap EV here.
MG is chinese crap.
@@wilmotown "large market of comparatively wealthy buyers"
Europeans are used to spend a smaller percentage of their income on a car, because cities are denser and less car-centric.
For planing your trip with an ev there are great apps as an alternative to in car navigation and route planer.
A Better Route Planer and Chargemap are imo the best two apps.
Eh that’s not replacement for in car navigation
@@chidorirasenganz It can be because ABRP and the European counterpart PUMP both allow to be used via Apple carplay. What is missing is the tie in with the current battery state and usage - this can be made available with an OBD2 connector, yet this is a hassle and something better is needed.
@@karlgunterwunsch1950 That’s better than I expected but I still think your car should function separately from your car. It’s kinda like back when you had to sync songs and updates from your computer and phone lol
Sheesh I swear we are definitely getting some new creative stuff as the future goes on I’m glad we’re getting some good updates on stuff.
