Triumph: spoked tubeless rims/wheels on this GT model would have been fantastic! I prefer 17-19 inches wheels like there is on the GT model but i want tubeless spoked wheels/rims like there is on the V-Strom 650/1050 XT. Please offer a cheap option to swap cast wheels for tubeless spoked wheels; thanks.

@@randysavage1997 hi Randy, I really liked it overall. Everything works beautifully, brakes, lights, mirrors, smooth gearbox and gorgeous triple engine, BUT, I say liked because I did a test on a BMW 1250 GS and absolutely loved it. I found it to be more stable, more manoeuvrable, the huge amount of low down torque is incredible, etc. And, as much of my riding is in urban environments, I traded the Tiger in! But I would still recommend it in all ways.

What about the engine and tank guards that can be added to the GT Pro - same as the Rally Pro? There have been some reports that the OEM crash guards are not designed properly and will not hold up in the event of a simple drop of the bike? IF true will Triumph be recalling these guards to reinforce them and repair any damage as a result of the guards not fit for purpose? I hope so....

I’m in the market for a adventure bike & this bike ticks all my boxes ! Except for one ! No spoked wheels I’m so disappointed. I waited a long time for the 900’s to arrive but alas none of the models really suit me. The rally model is “too” off road and as I do the majority of my riding on paved roads the GT really suits me in every aspect except the wheels. I was on a ride a couple of years ago with 250km of gravel roads and tracks, I was the only guy with mag wheels all the others had spoked wheels we all hit the occasional rock but my bike was the only one who’s rim got slightly dented enough for a slow leak ... I had to limp 1700km home. Consequently I will never buy an adventure bike with mag wheels ..... I’m now looking at the Suzuki XT 1050 although probably not as good an off road bike on paper as the GT the XT just looks the part & would be fine on gravel roads & tracks both bikes have the same wheel sizes except the Suzuki has the spoke wheels & let’s face it 99% of guys buying an adventure bike want spoke wheels ! Even if they never take it off road spoke wheels are stronger & look better. Adventure bikes with mag wheels simply look like road bikes.

Show us how the production facilities ensure quality control and how Triumph dealerships address issues with industry leading service and warranties. Almost there, some things have to be improved and I can hand you £10000.
    1) Since you have the option to different layouts for the TFT screen why not include a more traditional round or line strip tachometer?
    2) Slightly longer front mud guard wouldn’t spoil the looks, it has to be long enough to protect the radiator and regulator/rectifier. Come on guys… it’s obvious.
    3) Settings like traction control, modes etc should stay where they were before switching the engine off. I can see frustration if I have to set them every time I start. ABS of course and heated grips are fine to go back to default setting.
    4) The joystick on the left handlebar is too close to the indicator switch, even without gloves can be mistaken for indicator’s switch. That’s obvious too… I wonder how could you not see it. Also is too flimsy.
    5) Flimsy indicators maybe?
2,3,4,5 are deal breakers, I can see future frustration and expenses arising from them. The thing is I do not think is going to cost you so much to improve them, so.. WHY NOT..?

The low beam with only one light instead of 2 on all the previous Tigers is not really a progress.
And as on the new 765 RS the revs are impossible to read... 👎

I read it's slightly thirstier alright, although it has an extra litre in the tank, tank range remains the same (or slightly worse). It's the cost of an extra 100cc and an irregular firing order. Might have something to do with Euro 5 requiring the emissions to remain under a certain level for the lifetime of machine (not just the first 12k miles, as was with Euro 4), running richer might give the cat more lifespan.

Shouldn't it be called the Thailand 900 as they've gone all out for the $$$$ and can no longer claim to be a British icon being made as far from London as Kawasaki!!!!!!!!!!

Well said, Sue. I was actually going to buy a £20k Rocket 3, thinking I would be buying a British motorcycle, and supporting manufacturing in my own country. Not any more....I'll be buying a Japanese bike, made in Japan, instead.

Great looking bike, but it's a bit disingenuous to put "review" in the title. This is not a review.
