      I have the same bike. Same colour. I went from a Harley to 1200 Tiger to this 2023 900 Tiger. I love it. So far my favourite bike I’ve ridden.
      At first I didn’t want the Blue, I wanted black. But like you said, not a lot of options.
      I’ve actually grown to love the colour now. 🇨🇦

      I found this out when I read the owner's manual but you shouldn't have to scroll thru screens to find something as basic as the odometer. What was Triumph thinking? The screen design is the one thing I don't like about mine. I guess Triumph has a cleaner screen design on the new one.

      I suppose it's all relative. None of my bikes are what I would call comfortable after about 5 minutes of riding. I loved your video about riding the tail. I'm only about 45 min to an hour away and I hadn't been back since 2008. Your video inspired me to do a dragon run.

    I think this is the first time I heard that Doodle's inseam is 31" -- all this time the hook was that she was not just a new rider (back in the beginning) but that she was a short new rider -- but in what world is a 31" inseam short? I have a 25" inseam, for instance.

    • @pocketlint82
      @pocketlint82 Месяц назад +2

      I showed this channel to my gf when she started riding. she is 5ft and has like a 24" inseam and she had a similar sentiment. Doodle isn't actually short. I'm a 5'6 male and have a 30in inseam. I wish my legs were as long as doodles haha. Maybe I'd be able to reach the ground on a tiger 900. I crossed it off my list cause I couldn't even tip toe

    • @zakhey
      @zakhey 29 дней назад +2

      Right on! I don't understand how riders with 30" inseam or more consider themselves short.. They have way more leg length to tripod the bike in the event of an unexpected stopping situation. Riders with inseam under 26" can truly be called shorties 🤭

    • @AT2Productions
      @AT2Productions 16 дней назад

      @@zakheyI think part of the reason we riders with a 31” inseam or below are seen as short riders is less to do about the bikes. Look at riding pants, good luck finding pairs that aren’t 32” or 34” inseams. I had to go with a “short” version of my current touring/wet/cold weather pants because of the inseam length.

      I don't understand this. You don't use your biceps tendon much when riding, so i'm not seeing what the problem is.
      Context, I have two torn biceps, right now, and I ride almost daily.
      To be fair, I commute and tour on my bike. I am not strafing the canyons or doing trackdays.
      I also had a disc replaced in my back in November, and I know I rode my bike less than 3 weeks after that. When I was still supposed to be on my bed or on the couch, for as long as possible. Context; I ride an adventure bike, so the ergos are mega comfortable.

Consider looking for adjustable foot pegs. The ones I bought have two choices, a centimeter higher or lower. It doesn’t sound like much, but that little lowering and extra room feels really nice in your knees over time/miles.

    My Girlfriend purchased a Triumph Street Triple 675R From Peter Stevens in Melbourne Australia. After leaving the dealer about 25km the rear cowl cover left the bike at about 80kmh I was following and saw it fly off, a mechanic hadn't refitted it properly. A little after this we stopped and she complained that the bike was hard to handle, I checked the tyre pressure and her brand new bike had 21psi in the front tyre..we rode to a gas station and inflated the tyre the bike was a whole lot better. How can it be that a dealer can be so incompetent?

    If you want to “solve” your seat issue, a Russel Day Long saddle will do it. It’s a custom seat they build on your stock seat pan.
    It’s not cheap and it’s a pain in the ass to get done, but it lives up to the name.
    Only warning I have is that it can make you ground reach even worse.
    They can add a back rest too, but it really won’t do much on the upright riding position of your bike.
    It can be heated too.
    It’s better than any prebuilt after market seat, I will never own a bike without one now.

Also I don't understand how so many bikes have these large displays, yet you are never able to chose what you want have diplayed at once. I have a 2023 GS and this as been bugging me from day one. Why can't you display, fuel gauge, odometer , tire pressure and engine temp, all at once is a mystery.

The work hard/play hard lifestyle caught and after a knee replacement and an ankle replacement it was time to simmer down. What an easy bike to reacquaint myself! I still have a 1974 Ducati 750 Sport I bought when I was 20. Crazy extremely uncomfortable ride. I get on the Tiger and it’s a magic carpet! Like you, a few little gripes but what a lovely ride. That being said, I got a crazy Christmas bonus and I
    Put it on the block hoping for a 24 Rally. I’m in Idaho with more dirt than pavement so I should have done that to begin with. If I don’t get what I want , no big. I’ll just get some more aggressive tires ( currently Dunlop Trailmax Missions). 24 has addressed a few of my issues.

    Ahhhh welcome to the world of the infamous Triple engine. Doesn't she sound dreamy? As far as your track day goes, I'd definitely swap out the tires and or the wheels for track days. There are tires that are less dirt oriented that may suit you after since it looks like you do mostly roads. That engine in your tiger is a MONSTER so once you open her up she's gonna SING! Wait until you get your butt off the seat, you're gonna laugh in those corners.

    Speaking to seat comfort, I have a 2005 Monster 620 that had the stock seat, technically still does. But when I had to replace the leather I also did the gold gel upgrade from Luimoto and it was a huge improvement for longer ride comfort.

    I understand about the color. I really liked the Pearl/black paint on the Triumph Bonneville. I wanted that color for mine. The dealer said they could get one, but not at my price. I settled on the red/black T100 instead.

    Trouble with tall bikes is stopping on uneven roads. If you do not see it coming or misjudge your stop, you can topple over. E.g. if the road is sloped from left to right, or there's a deep pothole. You need to use one foot down on the side of the bike where the road is higher. Miss that on approach or be off balance to put the wrong foot down, and you risk falling over.
    Having said this though, Doodle's skills are really impressive. Those clips of driving over logs and other stunts, slow speed skills, etc, are stunning. Stunning! No other word for it.
    With that level of experience, the bike becomes and extension of yourself and handling is second nature. Still need to be on full alert though.
    I suppose however, when you get used to dropping your bike it's not too bad. Especially with those bars. (Finger's crossed.)
    One thing I used to think about was Doodle's moto-cross riding. I remember a video or two where the group were on taller moto-cross bikes.
    This was early days in training, and lots of fun. I remember Doodle dropping one, and bending a gear shifter lever. (Oops. 🙂)
    Anyway Doodle rode a 250cc over a 125cc when offered a choice. I think the 250cc was generally bigger.
    Doodle had a few minor misshaps.
    Not being critical, but at the time I was going to suggest paying for her to retake the course. (It was still a fledgling channel then, compared to now.) However this time using the 125cc. ... I mean, Doodle talked about redoing courses anyway.
    It would have been a reason for another great video. It was not meant as a put-down to Doodle at all. Or finding fault in riding tall bikes.
    I wanted to see if she had fun with the smaller bike, since 125cc bikes are a blast. Or if it was a better stepping stone to moving up to bigger taller bikes.
    I feel no matter what I say I will be judged as thinking I know best. Or patronising. That's not what I mean though. (EDIT: Possibly why I never suggested it, through fear or being seen as insulting.)

      I have almost dropped my 2023 Multistrada Rally a couple of times on sloped right turn lanes with yield signs. I can touch 1/2 foot down on both sides, but normally only use one foot on stops. It's when the slope is opposite of the side you normally put your foot down. Have also almost lost it when my boot got hung up on the peg and I was late getting the foot down, lol!!!

    If you're still looking for a backrest, take a look at Sargent aftermarket seats. I bought a seat and a backrest for my 2017 BMW 1200 GS. If I do a full day of riding, my back gives me a little trouble be the end of the day. The Sargent backrest helps. The backrest for my GS is a compromise. It makes the seat hard to remove, and it would get in the way for any serious adventure riding, but I use mine almost exclusively for touring. Oh, and I went through a similar experience with the color. I bought my GS as a leftover so there were no color options. Fortunately, the color has grown on me and I don't see many in this color on the road.

    Seems like a lot of the electronic new screens aren’t designed from a practical rider perspective. On both my Ducati and my Buick it was a major chore to “learn “ the set up process.
    Show me basic information on main screen and make it simple to figure out the features.

    Hi. Great video . I have the same bike and colour here in Australia. I use a different screen layout, style 2. It shows all that small writing at the top in a larger format. In this format , if you scroll to the tyre pressures then scroll right or left it shows you the odometer reading. Also if you go into the Main Menu and select Display. Then go to Visible Trays, you're able to select/deselect what you can see when scrolling through the information on the display. I don't use Go pro or music so I have them deselected.
    I fitted a Scorpion Serket slip on in place of the standard exhaust . Sounds even better and saves about 2.5 kg in weight.

    Hello! Love your channel and you inspired me to get back into riding; I own a Triumph Tiger Sport 660 and I'm still struggling on the slow speed skills since it sits up so much higher than my old bike which was a cruiser, but I hated the color options too so I wrapped mine with a purple/blue duo chrome from vivvd vinyls and it came beautifully! If you want to see let me know and I'll find a way to share! Stay safe and thanks for inspiring us female riders!!! If you want a content suggestion I would love to see you show if you've found a difference on tight turns from cruiser style to adventure to sport bikes since I've found there is a bit of a difference! I'm recovering from a broken foot bone since I went down practicing tight turns but hoping to be back on mine in a couple more weeks! ❤🏍️
