I thought this was a great video. I wanted a walkthrough for removing the rear console to respray some covers where the soft touch coating was damaged. Of note, the primary repair in this video is actually an electrical issue, not a mechanical one. In under an hour, the blue wire that crosses over from the center to the right of the shifter can be repaired. The cable has a pinch point which causes the individual wires to break. Simply open up that cable and fix (solder and/or add/replace wire as needed) the broken wires and put the front console trim back on. There is no need to go under the vehicle or remove the seats and rear center console to fix this. If the issue was mechanical, then yes. But the symptoms described are not mechanical.
I don’t have DS mode anymore and it has nothing to do with what you’re talking about brother (broken wires) i checked and tried everything but nothing helps i’m thinking of replacing the whole thing just like in this video but if you have any other idea let me know please
Where or how can I get those Versions of adjusting the gear lever? Because my car currently has that issue. The shifter is not aligned with the correct gear. Its like my shifter lever was moved back 2 gears. My parking gear is actually neutral and my reverse gear is actually drive. And when I move it all the way down to drive, it doesn't do anything. Instead a light comes on, on my dashboard.
Video is very helpful if you have a coupe or vert and need to see how most dissembles. I used it today as a guide to change my interior from black to coral red.

This video is useless you took apart the The entire car but you never showed how you took off the shifter
that is ridiculously unnecessary, no need to go any further than popping out the trim piece
Where tf is my transmission nut
yeah would be great to see you actually putting the shifter in and not taking the entire car apart
Removed and reinstalled the shifter, now i dont have a reverse lockout anymore! Im not sure the unlock button functions anymore. Thoughts?

It takes me like 30 minutes to do this, if that. You don't have to remove the trans tunnel cover.
