1) Watermelons and melons, in general, are amongst the fruits with the highest sugar content. Watermelon is high on the glycemic index and contains very little fiber. Try pairing it with low GI, high fiber fruits.
2) Pineapples are very high in sugar content, 100grams of pineapple could flood about 10 grams of sugar into your bloodstream. One cup of pineapple will give you over 100% of your daily recommended vitamin C.
3) Bananas are high in carbohydrates, and one medium-sized banana has around 14 grams of sugar. One banana also gives you about 10% of your daily recommended intake of fiber.
4) 1 date alone will give you around 18 grams of carbs and nearly 70 calories. Dates also come packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory flavonoids as well as carotenoids.
5) Mangoes are amongst the most dangerous fruits for diabetics to consume. One cup of mangoes contains about 23 grams of sugar and 100 calories.
6) Dried fruits may seem like a healthy snack, but by removing the water content of these fruits, the sugar content becomes highly concentrated.

My oldest son is in his early 20's and he has type 1 diabetes. But thank God for this piece of article ruclips.net/user/postUgkxVYhghKWmrUgXARZ_ydZTvmmcrw5L0I5i At first he thought he had the flu and was lying down on the bed for three days until his sister took him to the hospital. They took his blood and it was 600. What I do not understand is how he could have gotten it, since no one in the family has it. But he is winning the battle now. This is good stuff.
*My daughter drinks lots of water and urinates with the same rate, there are no other symptoms to show if those have anything to do with diabetes. This is a good information that I have gone through **Diabets.Care** She is 2 years 9 months, hale and healthy, have not done any blood test. But I am not certain if one can get diabetes at such a tender age. Please I will like to know more on that*
Thank you very much

Diabetes insipidus, check this
Young children can be diabetic. Anything that doesn’t feel or look good check it out.
Avoid cakes, sodas , donuts , white bread, anything with processed sugar
Fruits are natural healers of the body
Fruit juices should be avoided! But the fruit itself should be eaten with moderation
I agree.
I was a diabetic for over fifteen years until the doctors wanted to put me on insulin I left the clinic instant and treated myself with an all fruits diet today I am proud to say that I'm no longer a diabetic so I don't understand what you are saying first I cut out sugar, flour, rice, process meat, milk, cheese and butter and went on all fruits it really works I'm living proof
Pls could you recommend the fruits you take?
Thanks so very much!

As a medical doctor in Vienna, I am sorry that the information provided here is out-moded and incomplete. If the fruits are not combined with fats and/or oils they are perfectly safe for Diabetes Type II. The book written by two brilliant Americans, Cyrus Khambatta and Robby Barbaro, "Mastering Diabetes" explains the details backed up by numerous medical researches. My fruit-lover DM patients have a hearty lunch consisting of 6-7 portions of fruit (including orange, banana, mango, pineapple, watermelon, etc.) with some fresh ground chia seeds and flaxseeds. All fruits have protein and fat anyway! Some patients dropped 20 kg (44lbs) within 4-5 months; Hb1Ac of some patients dropped from 11 or 12 down to 6.5 or 7. The medications they use have been reduced dramatically. Most of them did not require insulin after a while. Many of the patients also follow an intermittent diet under medical supervision. They have a vegetarian or vegan dinner without calorie counting.
When carbohydrates are consumed with proteins and fats/oils, their absorption is delayed due to some additional chemical processes that proteins and fats/oils do not undergo..Meanwhile, the proteins and oils/fats are transferred to the muscle and liver cells, where they are needed most, more quickly and these cells are saturated with these molecules. The processed carbohydrates arrive later and are not absorbed right away by the already "fed" cells. They accumulate in the blood. Signals go to the pancreas about this excessive sugar and it starts pumping insulin.
In 1920´s the Japanese doctors used to treat severe cases of Diabetes with cooked white rice and fruits without amount restriction (However, no fats, no oils, no salt. No salt, due to the severity of the disease. )
This video is wrong. Fruits have natural sugar. It’s not refined sugar. All fruits are ok and you can eat a lot if it. Just don’t buy the fruit juices. I quit orange juice and just eat oranges now.
❤😢
As a rice eater i'd like to know if white rice (cooked and cooled) is ok.
I know a woman right now, I am her aid. No food is off limits to her, she eats any and everything, doesn’t test her blood sugar. She eats tons of salt and sugar and EVERYTHING and she’s still alive and doesn’t get sick. She’s 87. She’s also in her right mind and does all her business herself.
@@gennisparry4352 Is she insulin resistant?
Excellent explanation thanks
Thank you for making it clearer!
I have type 2 diabetes, but i dont stop eating fruits, because they said fruits are natural healer, but i stop eating cakes, chocolate bars, chips and stop all sodas and sugary drinks for 1 month,i have my fbs and lactose tolerance test,im not a diabetic now,so it is the sugar that makes us sick.
YES YOU'RE RIGHT. SUGAR FROM FRUITS ARE NATURAL SUGARS CALLED FRUCTOSE. THEY ARE SAFE TO EAT BY DIABETICS. LIKE WHAT YOU SAID, SUGARS FROM CAKES, CHOCOLATES, AS WHAT YOU HAD MENTIONED INCLUDE ALSO PASTAS, DONUTS, THESE ARE WHAT DIABETICS SHOULD AVOID.
Fructose is converted to glucose in body.. So donot eat ftuits with high glycemic index.... High sugar levels can damge body
Right on.
Some fruit is very healthy. Even for a diabetic.

Lots of grapes, strawberries and bananas available. Thanks for the information. Curious where insulin comes in the mix, if one can do by change of diet.🤠
I want to thank you I am going to continue to listen to the video until combat my problem I must fight back
Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge. In a nutshell, eat these fruits with caution/ moderation
I disagree with number 5, watermelon. While it is true that watermelon has a high GI of 72 per 100g, it is necessary to calculate the glycemic load, which is extremely low at only 2 per 100 g serving. This actually makes watermelon a fairly good choice for diabetics when consumed in moderation.
Use the measurement of glycemic index guide onfoid intake n your diabetes is under control. My reading dec 2021 was 21.5 but now it is 5.2 consistently for past 10 days. Not only too much sugar but carbohydrates can spike your blood glucose level. B complex n vitamin E helps in controlling your nerves n maintaining them.
Yep..watermelon will raise your blood sugar but there is a guy who says to cure diabetes even type 1 eat berries and watermelon. I did it for a few days.. yes my blood sugars were high but after I went back to regular food I noticed when I drank coffee I didn't need to take any insulin for the creamer where as before I'd have to take a unit .. so I think there is something to the fruit curing it..I was using something else to cure myself but my teeth are really starting to hurt eating meat.. and you have to eat meat in order for this stuff to work on curing you.. but I think I'm going to go the fruit route because it's a lot healthier and my teeth won't hurt..
Water melon raise my blood sugar
@@freespiritpearl89 I find that everyone is different. One person experiences no spike from watermelon and another has dramatic spikes
@@freespiritpearl89 yes it will.. if you went on a Berry Watermelon diet.. you sugar will be high in the beginning.. but it will slowly start coming down and you can cure yourself you just have to be extremely careful because you go low and only bread will raise it
Excellent, an eye opener, Thank you so much.
Thank you so much
,mangoes and water melon almost got me into problems. Thank God I now know. I really loved having them
Ty for a great video

thank you very for this very informative lesson. I am so worried about avoiding the diabetes but now I know and never think that all my favourite fruits will be the source of having a diabetes. Do's and don'ts of foods confuse so many people.
Thanx sa jnfirmation
I am learning about nutrition and diabetes. So correct me if I am wrong, but the RATE of sugar digestion is just as important as the amount, yeah? So if you "dilute" the sugars with protein, fats, and fiber, the sugar intake will be better for you, in general?
The key is MODERATION.
Thankpp°
K
Good tip
Water Mellon Glycemic Load (GL): 5 = Low. That is because it is 92% water. So it is not only GI but the amount of sugar per serving that counts (GL). That means that watermelon should not be avoided, but rather consumed in small servings. Not to mention the high content in lycopene, which is very reccomandable.
Aileene
That’s right! All fruits this video mentioned should be avoid ! Read my comment about mango
.
The safest way is not eating my fruits with high glycemic indexf. If you eat be sure to eat in small portions

Fruits contain Fructose. They can be consumed in moderate amounts whether diabetics or non diabetics. If consumed in that way blood sugar may not rise much
Moderation is The Key! And The ripper or older the banana, the sweeter it gets, Fruit sugar is different on the blood glucose, RUclips research it!
After watching ur vid, I recommend u to write obituaries for newspapers.

Good day. I just want to ask if you are referring to ripe mango only? Or even unripe mango is high in sugar?
It is very good suggestion

Interesting video.
Can you talk about fruits that use to have seeds and now they’re hard to find. Eg; Grapes, watermelon, or...... are they still considered good edible foods?
What you think about lerchis, our tropical most expensive fruit, mauritius
I'm diabetic and I refuse to quit eating watermelon
really i like this method
I like to eat these fruits mixed with other things as a SUBSTITUTE for sugar. Most mornings I have a breakfast of berries-blue berries, black berries, strawberries, and raspberries when I can get them (Aldi's has most year round) and add 1/2 of a banana instead of sugar. Also I have a bean salad that incorporates roasted corn and diced watermelon with jalapenos, red onions, celery, green and red bell peppers, spices, and balsamic vinegar and oil. The sweet corn and melon is offset by the red beans, black beans, and garbanzos so the corn, watermelon ,and balsamic vinegar just adds a bit of sweetness and moisture to the beans
Thank u so much for interesting info for fruits...moderation of foods is one of the best to eat any food ,fruits are made on natural thats why we eat in moderation it hrlps a lot, thank u guys for ur comments n godbls us all
thank you
good and informative
I hear more conflicting information on a regular basis I hear don't worry about natural sugar it fruits but added sugar so what should I do eat it or not ?
Yes, it can be confusing, Lewis. Added sugars can be found in most any packaged product, even in products you wouldn't think have added sugar. Natural sugars are simply found within whole foods - that means, fruits, vegetables, whole wheat breads, beans, etc. When you hear about carbohydrate content of a food, that's what will be converted to glucose when you eat it. So your body may react in a similar manner when you eat an apple versus when you eat some candy apple packaged junk food - but the whole apple will also supply you with fiber and other nutrients, which can help slow your body's insulin response. The candy version, with added simple sugars, like fructose, will get metabolized much more quickly and can cause a blood sugar spike. Plus, they won't give you fiber or other beneficial nutrients. So most fruits can be eaten as part of a healthy diet, as long as you eat them in moderation. But the same can't be said for added sugar junk foods.

thank you sir for sharing about fruits not good for diabetis
FRUITS ARE GOOD FOR DIABETES BECAUSE ITS NATURAL FOOD, CANNED FRUITS AND FACTORY FRUITS ARE TOTALLY BAD
you should also look for the glycemic load.

I have type 2 Diabetes. I listen to my Dr. because I don’t want to end up blind or with a foot cut off. I don’t take insulin yet. I love fruits, but I avoid most fruits. Thanks for the info.
all fruits are good...eat moderately..youre safe...
Definitely!!!
Not if you are diabetic, fruits are sugar, juice is toxic sugar levels for diabetics, breads, potatoes, pastas, all raise glucose levels danderously high.
Pineapple is OK, but not Pineapple juice (wrongly pictured in the clip). That is because the sugars (in fact we are talking mainly about fructose) are slowly released in the body when one consumes the whole fruit. The whole fruit keeps the sugars in a fiber matrix, a matrix which is destroyed by making juice and therefore the sugars are much more rapidly getting into the blood circulation.
Sure
Sure enough
Not mentioned figs and grape that are really skyrocketing blood sugar
Figs are prob. worse than grapes...

Moderate is the key. I over did it, got a sugar spike. 500 on the hospital test. I was lucky I didn't have a stroke. I was eating a lot of fruit to try to lose weight. Moderate, not to much at a time.
Who the hell told you to eat fruits to lose weight? 😂
Did you lower your sugar level?

@@jameschris07 NO! I had a sugar spike. I didn't know fruit would add to sugar levels. In my post, I had a 500 sugar reading. I almost passed out a a DD shop, that's how I got an ambulance ride to the hospital. A STROKE usually follows a sugar spike. I was very lucky. i didn't get a stroke. Be careful with fruit, please.
@@tomtamir4156 Good sir, fruits are high in carbs, and not all fruits are the same. You should eat the fruits you like right before your main meals, and your main meals should consist mostly of good fats and quality proteins.
Confusing one.minute you day melons are high in sugar to avoid them .then you say go.ahead and eat them in moderation. Which is it it can't be both?
What about Durian and Jack fruit?
In my opinion I believe fruits have a better effect to the glucose level. I see less sugar high when I check the before meals. I would eat more fruits than food with high carbs. This is my opinion. Most diabetics outcomes are results differently.
Chew your GI food properly n slowly to ensure digestion takes time. If your body absorbs faster, your sugar will definitely go up. Increase your fiber intake or fiber based food, low sugar, salt for better health.
Many years ago we were taught to avoid healthy foods like fruits and veggies. It is more about portion size and glycemic index.
I am diabetic and arthritis. I eat all of this fruits and i increase the insulin. But i check my blood sugar after one hour or 2 hours

That is why I only eat it on Fridays and Saturdays.
In reality certain berries in strict moderation, but preferrably only once you have dealt with your insulin resistance.
Fibre is easily obtained from low GI vegetables, preferrably raw or some may be lightly cooked.
Vitamin C is easily obtained from fresh lemon juice & bell peppers.
Be aware of the peanut buttet you choose. Many have added sugar & additives.
Bananas are not recommended, B vitamins are better obtained from unfortified nutritional yeast.
Avoid snacking & try to keep nett carbs under 20g per day & preferrably less than 10g & don't forget to get sufficient low intensity exercise & vitamin D3, preferrably from sun exposure.
Diabetic medications all have negative side effects.
Any juices are essentially a fibre free shock to your insulin levels, with or without added sugar.
Do your research if you have issues & ensure it is peer reviewed & ASK QUESTIONS.
How about whitesapote
If you make a one list low auger & high level sugar fruit & dry fruit , it should be lots helpful for diabetic patient thanks
Blueberries are great for diabetics...very slow release
thanks for the information
Yes any berries really, kiwi and lemons are great. Make sure they are consumed early in the day 👍🏻
Since ALL foods have carbs , it appears diabetics should not eat food at all if we want to control our blood sugar levels. I am a Type 2 diabetic. How about vegetables? Is a vegetarian diet good for us diabetics? I love a good salad without dressing.
My father has type 2 Diabetes and he eats fruit. Growing up from a West African background fruit is a must. Very healthy. Fructose is a natural sugar. His doctor told him it was fine.
The key is moderation against your insulin levels. You cannot for example eat a mango and a orange everyday. Moderation is key. His diabetes is very well regulated and has greatly improved.
And yes salad 🥗 can be good for you. Green leafy vegetables especially. Speak to your doctor.
