*My daughter drinks lots of water and urinates with the same rate, there are no other symptoms to show if those have anything to do with diabetes. This is a good information that I have gone through **Diabets.Care** She is 2 years 9 months, hale and healthy, have not done any blood test. But I am not certain if one can get diabetes at such a tender age. Please I will like to know more on that*

I literally found out yesterday that I was borderline diabetic. I watched the vid on the 15 things NOT to eat. I was consuming/drinking 12 on that list. Watching this vid there are 7 foods I ENJOY and will now enjoy more frequently. I'd rather do this than be on meds the rest of my life. Thanks for the valuable information.
lift weights , hard , get on a good workout program at the gym , you will never get diabetes
Best of luck with your health!! ❤️
@Hebrew
I made the mistake of not taking mine seriously and almost ended up on diabetic medication. On one test, my AIC was at 6.9. Well within the diabetic range. But my fasting glucose level was only at about 105. Barely into the prediabetic range. Something was funny about those numbers. My doctor wanted to put me on medication and I refused. I said that I would work on my diet instead. He had me talk to a diabetic specialist who happened to be in the office at the time. She wanted me to eat 60 grams of carbohydrates at each meal. Now I fully understood what was going on. I thought about my diet over the previous few months. I was close to the 60 grams. I just had the decimal in the wrong place. I set up an appointment with my normal dietician and she got me started testing my sugar levels a few times a week. I went down to the 60 grams and did testing with different foods and circumstances.
I found that I could actually eat up to 90 grams, but I needed to wait about four hours before eating again to allow my sugar levels drop to their fasting levels. In a few months, my AIC dropped to 6.2, and I lost about 20 pounds. I was back in the prediabetic range, and I convinced my doctor to change my diagnosis back to that. He agreed, and told me that we wouldn't be talking about medications so long as my AIC stayed below 6.5. On my next test, it had dropped to 6.0. Since then, I've been keeping an eye on my blood sugar levels, and they have stayed within an acceptable range. Ideally, your fasting glucose level should be under 100. About two hours after you eat, it will be at it's maximum. Less than 140 for a normal person. Less than 180 for a full diabetic. I try to keep mine under 160. That's a little outside the normal range, but it's not nearly high enough to be dangerous. Both my doctor and dietician agreed with me on that point. That's considered well under control.
@@TerryProthero There is a factor that must be considered when detecting, reversing and preventing diabetes: measuring insulin levels.
Abnormal glucose levels are the end result of damage caused by insulin resistance. By the time abnormal glucose is found, the condition is advanced.
Type 2 diabetes should more accurately be called “insulin resistant diabetes”. To truly address and reverse the problem, what should be measured is fasting insulin and c-peptide levels. These labs will detect rising insulin levels years before diabetic disease and damage to blood vessels and organs occurs. It will also determine whether insulin deficiency-Type 1 diabetes- is present.
It is tragic that standard medical
practice focuses on glucose control rather than insulin levels. Countless eyes, limbs, kidneys and hearts will be saved when they do.

Last time i checked true wild caught salmon cost at least $15/lb. A cheaper alternative is sardines harvested in cold water countries like Canada and Norway.

Very useful vdo. Easy to learn. Need to know how many of the ten items that you have suggested, may be consumed daily. Also like to have your response on Spinach and Tomato, as pointed out by some commentator. Thanks.

Salmon tastes much better with butter and garlic with lime sprinkled on after it's cooked. Done in the fry pan the skin can be fried seperately and done really crisp.

Delicious recipe at the end! Informative information. My only concern was the shiny side of foil being the food contact side in your video. I was always taught to cook on the dull side, due to harmful chemicals of aluminium foil on contact with heat. You may want to clarify.
