My oldest son is in his early 20's and he has type 1 diabetes. But thank God for this piece of article ruclips.net/user/postUgkxVYhghKWmrUgXARZ_ydZTvmmcrw5L0I5i At first he thought he had the flu and was lying down on the bed for three days until his sister took him to the hospital. They took his blood and it was 600. What I do not understand is how he could have gotten it, since no one in the family has it. But he is winning the battle now. This is good stuff.

Last February my doctor took me off of Metformin and I've kept my A1C below 6 for over a year now. I've had my scares. Right before the pandemic I bought a pie. And I didn't eat a slice per day, the pie was gone by the second night. By day four I woke up with double vision. I closed my left eye lid to help and I couldn't open it again until 45 days later. Then last mid November my foot decided to grow an diabetic foot ulcer. It seen attention two to three times a week until the end of March, it's completely healed and can't be seen. Since 2014 Ive cut out all sweets now, cut down on meat, juices and salt. I knew that I could do this since I quit drinking in 2010, and smoking 9 / 9 / 99. For anyone out there that's type two there's hope. It won't be easy, but it will be worth it.

Alcohol and fructose are metabolized by the same enzymatic pathway. Neither will activate your satiety hormones. (i.e. you will still feel hungry). Note that eating actual fruit does satisy due to the fiber, but fruit juice does not. Also, most of the commercial "veggie noodles" as opposed to shredded veggies, contain too many carbs. 100% whole grain bread contain less carbs, but still have too many. Always best to check your blood sugar level before, 30 minutes, 60 minutes and 2 hours after a "new" meal, a few times to see how your body handles it... Watch for spikes in your sugar levels... they can happen at different times for each food. My treat is unsweetened baker's chocolate.

Im sorry, i used to be pre diabetic and if i followed this advice, i would be diabetic now. The Keto diet and Beat Diabetes channel, Dr Berg, Dr Berry and Dr Becky and Dr Fung, restored my health and my weight. Intermittent fasting, eating only twice a day, very few carbs and in the form of vegetables, hardly any fruit, lots of water and some sodium.

Fruits will send glucose soaring and fructose, the sugar in fruit contributes to fatty liver. Quit bread, crackers cookies, cake, basically regular desserts, sugary drinks snd fruit juices, processed foods which contain hidden sugars and heart unhealthy seed oils. Quit starchy veges such as all potatoes; quit pasta, rice, pizza crust. Eat meat…with the fat, skin, gristle…eat until full. Don’t count calories. Eat full fat cheeses, dairy products, nuts. Salads with non starchy veges. Use sour cream to make a fabulous, rich dressing with vinegar, stevia, salt, garlic, fish sauce, pepper, poppy seeds, lemon juice….etc, which helps avoid harmful seed oils. Enjoy fat! Saturated fat doesn’t hurt you…it’s the sugar that’s the slow poison which causes inflammation, and damages our organs. Extra dry champagne is low in carbs, also pino grigio. Make whipped cream with heavy whipping cream and stevia, add berries of your choice for a satisfying dessert. THIS ….is how you prevent , and reverse diabetes. Do not listen to the ADA. They are a waste of time! By the way, you will drop weight so fast you won’t believe it. It’s not the fat, it’s the carbs causing problems! Watch you tube Dr Ken Berry, a diabetic physician for great and latest info. Good luck!

100% right. Got diagnosed with type 2 two years ago. Applied all the above with walking everyday. Went from A1c of 12.2 to 5.7 and lost 56 lbs. Ate like a horse and never felt hungry or deprived. 63 yrs old and never felt better.
