Another thing that I forgot to touch on is, thinking back to the mysterious "S.H. MonsterArts King Ghidorah 64" figure that popped up nearly 2 years ago that was passed off as KG19.... Note how this is shipping out of China right when Godzilla vs Kong came out.
I can't find this figure anywhere at all. I get it being sold out but, the only "Lucky" I can find on Aliexpress is a bunch of fishing gear.
@@theplagueddoctor3686 According to the review, there's SUPPOSEDLY a second release coming, hence my efforts to find the original seller's page on Ali. I anticipate this second wave, when and IF it happens, will sell out fast though so start saving.

my schizoid theory is that the reason why the Tokyo SOS Goji was made over Against MG is because Neca was hopeful about making Mothra and Kiryu to pair with that release. They said that when WB has the rights to a kaiju they can go back and make past versions of that monster, so I think that's what they were attempting.
Maybe? But the license deals with Toho allow that, not just WB, based on what we know from years prior.
@@StevensToyReviews all true, but that's what Neca claimed at least. I recall the SDCC interview where they expressed interest in making classic Rodan and Mothra because they mad the rights to all iterations of them, and they probably knew MG was to be in GvK. Just food for thought I guess

Honestly I hope we get more 3rd party figures because I want more figures of articulated obscure Godzilla characters cuz we know we ain’t getting anything new anytime soon
So just a Third Party Figure, huh? I do remember the countless of conversations in discord with people trying to figure out where this came from.
But I absolutely love this figure and I gotta admit, I really thought it had some diecast because of the paint scheme.
Andddd I still regret not buying this in time, but didn't know this was a REAL thing.
I find it's aesthetics appealing, it looks battle worn, like a tank that's been deployed on the battle field and has accumulated dust, grit, and battle wear and tear.

Do you know what kind of plastic its made out of, is it a heavy figure? What other figures does it feel like, material and quality wise? I know you said NECA but I wasn't sure if you were just talking about articulation
Overall this feels like a NECA. Relatively heavy, sorta rubber-like plastic, joints that are a bit gummy. If you gave it to me and told me it was a NECA I would believe it.
@@StevensToyReviews alright that makes sense, thank you. As long as it doesn't feel like the playmates godzilla vs kong figures. I like the figures but the rubbery plastic they use for the arms, legs and tail, is so flimsy.
I bought this however I thought it was from godzilla vs mechagodzilla 2 because that's what the box listed it. Making me think this isn't a neca figure and a bootleg made to look like neca which would explain why I couldn't find it listed by neca.
No one said it *was* made by Neca tho. Just points to it.

I know that this figure is nice, but compared to the movie there is a lot to be desired. 1st of all the articulation: the RP1 Mechagodzilla may be the most agile Mechagodzilla ever! Second, even if the paint is pretty damn good there is a color missing: BLUE! If you look at the movie scenes, he had a crap ton of lil blue lights across his whole side of the body. I know it's a complicated design, but cmon! With the missed part and changes to the figure, it makes it look like a compete new design. For me at least, blue, amongst the silver and red, are the iconic colors for this design.

That breath effect isn’t from neca or from a Godzilla figure it’s from viserion from got
Those look similar but smaller than this. This is definitely from 1 of NECA's Showa Godzilla figures like 1954, 1962 & 1964.
I got mine in today from AliExpress. Still not sure how I feel about it. His joints and articulation do worry me. Like he might snap at the joints like some of the Aliens and Pacific Rim figures I had. He's great in scale With my 6inch Gundam. He's not in terrible scale with some of the larger NECA Godzilla. Speaking of, this model is screaming NECA creation. The joints, the articulation, the modeling....it has to be a NECA prototype. It's even 8 inches, like the new Kong, which I bet NECA can't make figures in a 6 or 7 inch scale.
Honestly what is up with this figure? it is sold out everywhere on both eBay and Aliexpress. There's even this one seller on Aliexpress who I buy from a lot and he has this figure listed alongside bootleg Neca 2014 and 2019 Godzillas and a Vinyl Mezco Kong. Unfortunately it's sold out. Also just realised that listing I found shows the MechaGodzilla with a red breath effect instead of blue, but it's the same mould.
Glad I'm not the only one but, I can't even find LISTINGS. It's like they've been purged entirely.
