For a Godzilla movie that was the first ever to win an Oscar, honestly surprises me that there’s only like 3 figures of MinusGoji as of rn (not counting the SHMA repaints). Hiya likely won’t even reveal their’s till like 2028 at the latest. Sucks how limited you kinda are as you ether have to deal with poor paint like the SHMA or just wait until Hiya makes one (which will be a while)
I kinda wish they did what they did with the HEAVS and put Shikishima’s plane on the bendy wires, plus I wish it maybe they included it instead with the more messed up Godzilla from the end of the movie. Would have been cooler tbh, more worthwhile imo. I’m already certain those paint apps won’t be as nice as the photos. Yes, I’m kinda salty because I just got Monsterarts Minus One and I love that figure. 😭
The first release of this is my second favorite SHMA figure I have, only behind my 95 burning Godzilla. Idk maybe I got a good copy, but I love how mine looks. I can definitely see this overtaking it if it’s available to buy.
I love the look of this figure. I've pretty much dropped out of the SHMA game years and years ago but I would absolutely drop the ridiculous price on this release. It's gorgeous. So picture my surprise when I learned this was a lottery only release exclusive to Japan. I actually can't comprehend what Bandai/Tamashii has been thinking with the SHMA line lately. I can only hope Hiya does Minus One sooner rather than later.

As someone who has a huge catatloge of SHMA figures (pretty much all of them) I find it crazy that we're only now getting a new somewhat standard looking BLUE beam since the lines inception. That first beam was re-used a few times in different colours, and we got some cool showa style beams along with that innacurate over used spit fire variant for the MV figures, so having this new beam announced has me exited, too bad it's again locked behind some exclusive event. I'm so sick of exclusives in gewneral, not just for Godzilla or figures, but for everything nowdays, clothes, books, music etc
Even though this particular Godzilla movie was the first one to ever won an Oscar, this doesn’t surprises me at all since I’m not particularly fond of MonsterArts Minus One Godzilla since it doesn’t look exactly like in the movie, to be frankly honest with you here. So my biggest guess is to for any official announcement for Hiya Toys if they ever were to get the license to Godzilla Minus One and make a highly movie-accurate and articulated Minus One Godzilla for an affordable price. But hey, that’s simply my speculation and guesses, so don’t take this as personally or granted.

Banprestp (and a couple of other vinyl statue makers) have been doing lottery sales for more than a decade now, but their figure issues are one time only. Don't be surprised if and when this comes out months after the lottery sale and it's priced around $170 - 190 --more on e-Bay 'cos of the scalpers.
I’m content with my original figure, but this looks really lovely! The dorsal fins are cast beautifully, and the fact that we’re getting a unique atomic breath sculpt is really nice, plus the little Shindin. It’s just a shame how this is a Tamashii exclusive, and that virtually no one will be able to buy until the inevitable US release, which will ultimately be more expensive lol. As and aside: I was so curious to see just how they were going to do an atomic breath variant, like if it was gonna have extended dorsal fins (which probably would’ve been an engineering nightmare), or a separate head with a wider jaw. What wound up being the case is still really cool looking, though. I dunno man, for some reason the SHMA MinusGoji is incredibly fascinating to me lol.

This is just a repaint, I wish that they have the spines move up or down, but we are probably gonna have the same QC issues if there is no paint or mold difference besides the dorsal plates and mouth. I love the look of the spines. I feel like semi-transluscent/glowing transluscent effect is where SHMa still got a huuuge edge on Hiya. It look soo beautiful. Kinda like Shin Night Combat too, that look is what I wish we got for Hiya's transluscent Goji. That being said, I'm not really into that mouth paint. Never liked it on 21,still not really here. I suppose it'll get covered up anyways, so it won't matter much. But I am a bit worried that the blue paint around the dorsals would be a bit heavy-handed in actual release. That's kind of the issue with the og, it got too heavy-handed and not subtle enough. I do hope Tamashii will have better QC on this one, especially since it ain't a widely-release product. That being said... imagine the nightmare of the aftermarket for this thing. It already got 3000 yen of mark up, but being a lottery as well. Boy, glad I'm not a Minus Goji fan. I guess lottery sales are rather big in Japan. I dunno, Japan seems to love game of chances.
