Those are both fantastic, very capable crawlers! So cool to watch them just dominate whatever is in front of them. Thanks Adam for another great video, take care!!!
great comparison on strengths and weakness .........i luv my Fcx24 .....who the King of Hill crawler in your opinion .....you have to pick 1 only lol ( i think you will pick Scx24 comp ) ........your my number #1 RUclips crawler guy for these rigs ....you build it , talk about it n run it hard no sugar coating stuff .....thanks for the video
King of the hill would be the scx24 comp crawler I think! It’s so well rounded and capable in nearly every situation! And thank you, I appreciate that!
you spoil us with all this great footage and frequent uploads 😍 I want to build a little outside course like that, fun little track and not too big of a project
It's been fun cranking out the videos but I need to get back to a more regular schedule. Gotta get through all of these cool projects! I am so grateful for our little rock course. I just collected rocks from the woods and dumped them in the backyard. I built the frame for a little elevation. It's perfect for these things!
I really enjoyed both videos. What I would really love to see is the same test, with all 4 rigs running the exact same tire. It would get rid of the one variable. You could even run a vote on what tire people want to see run 🤷🏼♂️
I'll do an overview of the comp build in an upcoming video and list all the details. But for now I can say that it has a gladiator wheelbase, +8mm axles and Injora deep dish wheels which add another 2-3mm of track width. It's quite light, so I'll need to weigh it.
Really nice crawlers Adam. I personally went with the TREAL +12MM extension kit for the FCX24, I thought the RCAWD kit was a bit long and would high center a lot more. Great video!💪
@@CapeCrawlers I really like the treal kit, it definitely improves the vertical climbing ability of stock. My brother has RCAWD stretch kit, it does climb great but I feel it suffers in turning radius and it high centers more than the Treal kit (haven't got to comparison climb with him yet). The axle is in line with the back of stock chassis rail using Treal kit, for visual reference. Can't wait for some overdrive gears for these things!
I like them because they perform as good as the more expensive hot racing shocks and are half the cost. I definitely prefer the single spring. I feel like the double spring setup binds more.
It looks like you need to create some harder lines on your indoor. Those things make your 45 degree hills look like 15 degree. Those are my two favs of yours. My FMS Powerwagon is stock but extended with good wheels and tires. My 'comp' rig is a Cliffhanger on a Cayman (can we get behind axle steering on that?). With the pep it has I'm thinking of underdriving the rear instead of overdrive. Have you went that route? My Injora buggy is waiting on only wheels and tires and Injora +4 axles (long wait on those from Amazon). It has the Furitek Stinger in and waiting on those parts.
My indoor course is no challenge whatsoever to this things! I have not tried the underdrive approach, but I am hearing more and more about it and will likely try it soon.
Hey Adam, I am new to the RC world. H I have been thinking of getting my first rc kit and mostly crawler kits. But It seems not so easy and I don’t have much experience if you don’t mind can you recommend what kit or build I should get thanks
I think the axial scx24 or the traxxas trx4m are both great options. I almost feel like the traxxas would be better for a beginner. It’s very capable and easy to use right out of the box. Easy to have fun with!
By chance. Do you use over treal overdrive gears? If so what do you recommend front and back? Got the 14 for the front but wasn’t sure if there was a better option?
I've used Injora, LGRP, and RCAWD OD gears. I use the 13t up front and like it a lot. I leave the rear stock. I want the front to be spinning faster to get the improved turning radius and improved climbing.
maybe not fair to compare a comp build with a modded one... but shows the incredible possibilities of the fcx24... I mean the comp-build is just incredible!!! well job of both and they are way ahead of the scx24 and trx4m - impressive
@@CapeCrawlers well dang. That's sad. I would venture into the trx4m realm if they had them where I live but seems like they are all back ordered for like a year

They both perform very well. Each has it high & weak points. Can’t say that one is better than the other. Good job on both of them.
Thank you! They are very different machines, both great in their own right.
These are some great builds. Would love to see your take on an SCX24 6x6 build.
I actually have a friend that has one, I think, with the Chevy C10 body on it. Lol Looks pretty cool though.
Thanks! I’d love to try the 6x6!

They eat my course lines for breakfast! Thanks for watching!

Love your rock testing grounds super cool, yeah you know I’m here watching
Thanks! I'm grateful to have it. It's perfect for these little things.
I watched all your fcx24 videos. Bought all the upgrades along with you. I am adding 4wheel stear to it this weekend!!
Awesome! That’s going to be a weapon with 4WS!

Good idea!
Dude, your comp rig is 🔥🔥🔥🔥❗
Thanks! I'm super proud of it.
@@CapeCrawlers & You should be. 😎🤟🏻
For me as beginner could you maybe spec the comp-built so I get an idea what is a good parts combination?

How much more weight should I have up front compared to the rear of the crawler? I’ve heard some say like a 60/40 split. But I’m not totally sure.
60/40 is the ratio I hear the most.
You have the Radest FCX24 out there!
I wonder, between SCX24, FCX24, FCX24M, Ascent 18 and TRX4M - if I only could have 1 of those....
Those both sick
Thanks! Two of my favorites!

Thanks! The rcawd kit is very long. Looks fantastic but does get hung up. How does yours work with the treal kit?

What drive shaft did you use with the treal kit?
can I ask why you like the power hobby shocks , and what is a better long travel design, the double spring or the single
I like them because they perform as good as the more expensive hot racing shocks and are half the cost. I definitely prefer the single spring. I feel like the double spring setup binds more.
Where did you the cones 6:09
I got them from Adaptiv3 deigns on Etsy
@@CapeCrawlers ok cool thanks
When are you doing the fms 6x6 upgrade video
I gotta clear off my bench and finish some other projects first. Hopefully soon!
Just got my ax24 in the mail yesterday. Any plans to do anything with that?
Still waiting for mine. Going crazy!! So excited for it
Good video chief. Like button energized.
Much appreciated!

And I have looked at different kits but I can’t find any that don’t seem to hard if you have a recommendation please let me thank you so much

i got the email to work. turns out i forgot the s in crawlers. did you get it?
All set!
Great video, I know I’m asking a lot but what’s the chance you could take every single rig and hit atleast 1 little line?
That would be a lot of fun. I could probably do 2-3 lines and run the entire crew through it and have it be a watchable length.

Thank you! I'm very proud of both of these. The FCX24 is the underdog in a lot of ways and it's such a killer performer.
IMPRESSIVE 👀
They're both monsters!
@@CapeCrawlers I can see 😅
What time are you going to announce the giveaway winners for the t-hunter?
I did earlier today in a post.
Lets see power wagon vs the scx24 from the trx4m showdown..... Only like 7 to 10 secs faster on rock course
Oh man, the power wagon would smash the scx24 bronco!

🤣 mini drifter
Lol yes
i sent the email i just wanted to make sure you got it for the giveaway
I didn't see it come through. You sent it to capecrawlersrc@gmail.com?
@@CapeCrawlers yea that's odd i'll try again
