I was just here because we lost the power supply, after a move, and wasn't sure what it looked like. 2:57 shows it, found it and I'm back up and running! Thank you!!!
Yeah, I guess these ones are just for companies that don't bother with making stuff and/or hobbyists that have never learnt how to make anything. ;) But when you actually try to make stuff yourself (I was that person who never tried), it's awesome. Suddenly you realize you can do so much more than you thought and something like this is so easy, cheap and when done well, more effective (as you can tune it yourself). I think these days kids don't learn that enough.
I am currently waiting on a Mono X Large printer and the Wash and Cure + and can not wait! I have been waiting for years for the resin printers to come down in price and get large enough to make them a viable option.
So, I am about to hop in to 3D printing and this combo seems to be what I'm going to start with. So many questions, though. This is a confusing hobby to get started in. For example, what percentage of Isopropyl Alcohol do you use? How do you know how many minutes you need to run the curing process?
Joel, I'd be curious how the smells are from your resin printing and stirring all that IPA around. I plan to setup my resin printer in the garage...resin and curious feline pets seems like a recipe for sticky failure! For your indoor use, maybe that BOFA setup plus an enclosure might help the smells?
Somebody tell him that the build plate can rest on the top of that metal basket piece, allowing the bucket to only need to be filled half way with isopropyl.
Regarding IPA volume or lack thereof, what if you put a plate with some density or something that would raise the existing alcohol volume level to help cover your print if you were in a pinch. Just a thought. Thanks for the info video, nice!
The only thing I don't like is that the new basket has bigger spacing. I wish the spacing was a bit closer so that smaller models could still be washed there without fear of them falling through the basket gaps.
I would print some pulleys and a mounting for them, fix the mount to the inside of the cover or make a wooden frame for it which would enable me to raise or lower the build plate or basket into the alchohol
great review. one question: if the tub is plastic. can the solution be cured in the tub by only the led lights tilted downward? since uv won;t penetrate the plastic tub. thats alot of cleaning solution and needs to be reused. or would you have to resort to another UV source?
after re watching the video. i see the uv lights cant access the alcohol. it's a shame they didn't consider this. since it is supposed to be an all in one solution.
I see you have metal spinner inside the bucket. I have a plastic inside and when using the wash mode and it gets to top speed its starting to vibrate as crazy. You know what the problem could be. It does not vibrates when I leave the basket out and as soon as I put the basket in the whole machine starts to vibrate
Do you have any cleaning supply stores around to bulk buy your IPA? Down here in Australia I can get 5 and 15 litre containers of 99% IPA for AUD$50 and AUD$100 respectively, will need to Purchase this new one when available, Only recently brought the Mono X and Wash and cure 2.0 as a bundle 3 weeks ago and bit disappointed the plate didn't fit in the 2.0 but assumed they would be releasing one to suit at some point and they have! thanks for the review.
Apparently the build plate will sit on the upper structure of the lower part of the basket so you don’t need to fill further that you did. BTW how does the Saturn build plate fit?
Question: Can you actually use the machine to clean printer parts themselves like the buildplate or the vat? Would save a lot of time especially when replacing the FEP sheet for example.
@@aaronreed8402 well i found out washing the printplate is totally fine. i also tried the vat and it worked, but i am not really sure how it affects the screws on the underside in the long run so i try to only wash it in my machine when i change the fep-sheet
Set my alarm and staging my credit card info right now. I just got the mono x and small wash and cure 2 week. Oh well. I bet this puppy gonna sell out like a pair of air jordans from foot locker!

I wish you would've demonstrated washing and curing something larger, like that face plate at the end! Vision almost certainly could've fit in the standard sized W&C. :(
I have the original wash and cure station, the only thing I dont like. Is how the basket let's smaller prints fall through and the blades end up hitting the model.
I ordered a photon mono x and wash and cure station combo in early November of 2020 and I got my photon mono buy never got my cure station. I massaged anycubic several times over the months about the missing station and I always got the same answer. They are out of them and they'll send one when they get more. To this very day I still dont have it and anycubic stopped replying to my message about two months ago 😔 I assumed I got boned by anycubic
@@3DPrintingNerd thank you so much for wanting to help!😁 But I have my printer put away, I had to turn my printing room into baby room for my new born so I've moved on 😁 it will be awhile before I use it again. I really appreciate you reaching out!!!! Love your channel and content!
Yes you can! I've set my IPA container out in the sun for a day and all of the resin bits cure and fall to the bottom like a dust. Then, you filter it out and you're good to go.
Hi :) I realy want a resin printer :D hopefully i can aford one some day :) What printer did you print the iron man face plate on? I found some faceplates on thingiverse, but this one from nikko is awesome :) wil be printing that whenever i can make the time :) Thank you, and high five :)
Anybody tried this device as a filament print smoother? I imagine it to be used with a small amount of IPA so only the vapors reaching the PLA prints with the liquid whirling off.
Honestly getting a gallon/3785 ml or denatured alcohol was cheaper/more convenient then trying to buy the 8 equivalent bottles. The price on which may vary depending on where you live. Hardware has plenty of it. You don't have to worry about getting the right percentage either.
Would like to see how this compares to the wash and cure 2 for features and size. Also for that scale denatured alcohol is a great alternative that more easily available, less expensive, and cleans really well. You should be able to put your build plate on the basket as well if you print isn't too tall.
best thing I ever did was return my Mono X. Anycubic has some of the worst customer service i've ever dealt with and i had to contest the transaction on Paypal to get them to talk to me on a level past "we send you parts, you fix" Wash and cure stations are 1 tool to do 2 nearly unrelated jobs. I'll stick to an ultrasonic and a box with LEDs in it.
I like the size and the new bed holders 👌😎 now I have to prepare with some gallons of IPA 😁
LOL "that's the snow you shouldn't eat" is right that stuff STINKS x_x
It's SO bad. SO SO SO BAD.

i LOVE the little musical at the end!
The pre-order just started! I just placed my order and wanted to thank you so much for all your info and your efforts!
There's actually a lower position for the build plate inside the bucket, it's incorporated into the basket I believe.
My wash and cure station is a garbage bin from the dollar store with some LEDs glued inside of it :P Cost about $12 in total and it works great!
And you can "upgrade" a $35 ultrasonic transducer kit into a bath station quite easily for the High Brow experience.

A word of advice to my fellow Washingtonian. You can gi to your local ACE and pick up a gallon bottle of ISO (99% or 70%) For under $30 US.
Found one of these at a thrift store for 70 bucks. I think the universe aligned for me.
Joel.... I can't convince the wifey to add this to my collection. I'll just have to share your joy remotely.

Looks like a scaled up wash and cure 2.0. Exactly what I was wanting before I bought a Mono X.

bought the ANYCUBIC Photon M3, put the wash station in my basket. will let you know in a couple weeks how it all goes.
If you go to the hardware store you can get IPA in gallon size.
Can you compare an ultrasonic machine vs the wash & cure.
I wonder if that bucket with the bottom propeller works on my magnetic stirrer.
Needs to be a video how to clean this as im having residue on the basket and container
I just saw that our local Walmart is now selling isopropyl alcohol 70%, in 1 gallon jugs.
awesome review. How do you clean the bucket after the IPA gets muddy from many washes?
Excellent Video Joel. I need this for so many reasons. Thanks for all the great info.

Mine just arrived, and the spinner on the inside is not machined metal so guess Anycubic must have changed that at some point recently.
Love your videos my dude. Keep it up.
I watch every upload Joel. Love them! Would you consider doing the basics of Metal 3D Printing? DED, Select Laser Metal Sintering etc.
WOO-HOO!!! Just snagged one!

I was able to preorder it today for $169!!! Delivers 5/10. The new précis is $249 and delivers 5/20.

Where does the liquid dripping out of the print go during the curing stage?
The problem is filling up that HUGE tank with alcohol, how do you even clean that?
I can’t find it on their website yet
I would print some pulleys and a mounting for them, fix the mount to the inside of the cover or make a wooden frame for it which would enable me to raise or lower the build plate or basket into the alchohol
Next time look for Amazon for an Industrial Amount of Alcohol or get some Camp Fuel/Denatured Alcohol. Save the ISO Alcohol for disinfections.
You can buy isopropyl alcohol on Amazon by the gallon.....😉
Joel... missed the pre-sale..😥😥..I hope you do a video if they do a larger one for the Transform or phenom size..👍👍..
Think the manual says 2 minutes wash IPA, or 10 min if water (for water resin's)
Ive heard that its also a lot quieter than the previous versions - would you agree with this?? Thanks
Nice video. Would be nice for them to make a max cleaning machine for the max resin printer.
Can you wash the resin vat in the machine as well? Thanks
Come for the 3D printing stuff, stay for the beatboxing at the end.

Dang it just bought the easter sale photon and washer combo.... for 30 more dollars coulda gotten the big boy washer!

Would the Elegoo Saturn build plate fit / be compatible with the Anycubic Wash and Cure Plus?
I have started buying my Isopro from a chemical supplier. 500ml from hardware store = $25 vs 4L from chemical supplier = $20
Can you use Monocure Resinaway in this?
Pacific Savings Daylight Time? Are you still going thro DST PTSD?
YES.
do you leave the alcohol in the plastic bin for storage?
Yes. It has a gasket and can keep for a long time.
