Not sure if I mentioned it in our review of the Mono X but this machine stands alone in this price range as being the only one that resumes a print if you have a power outage. Happened by accident in the Monocure 3D print room a few weeks ago and I was stunned to see the job resume and work perfectly when the power came back. Tested it again last week and yup, it resumed perfectly. Very nice feature!

Jessy, I had this one. But it was riddled with defects. Bad build plates, cracked screens, irregular led power, etc. I hope yours is better. Also the build plate warps and leveling issues are notorious. Epax much better out of the box machine. I had the wifi work, but only with the app. It's lacking so much functionality. I will say that as with everything, the most vocal and posted things in social media are the negative ones. I bought it on the launch and has been printing flawlessly from day 1. I have gone to Epax, Elegoo and Phrozen groups and it's pretty much the same all around. Everyone posting is for the most part the ones that have had bad experiences. From the outside it seems that that's all there is, bad experiences. What people don't see is the overwhelming amount of people actually getting perfect machines and printing away. I will say, I don't post much because I spend more time just working on printing stuff and being happy with my printer. I will agree, there should be more posts with the positive experiences to at least balance out the negative.

    Hello there
I bought monster of a printer back in summer as I read many good things about it.
But in the last time it doesnt work propaly anymore, since i changed the FEP. It is soon damaged after a few dozent hours of use (around 20-30) and so most of the prints that come near to that hour mark.
I already reached out for many other professinals and people who has the mono x in use but neither they cant say what the problem is or never really encountered that.
    The key problems are:
    - kindly ripped out skin of the prints (like a christmas tree, if you print a lance or such)
    - imprints on the FEP
    - and very short life span of the FEP
For the regular trubble shooting I made sure that the room temperature is nearly constant about 21.5°C, settings are: exposuretime is 3s for 50µm with 4mm/s lift and retract speed. For the tension I tried an app for measureing the Hz of the FEP about 333Hz.
The FEP and Resin that I use is from Anycubic and worked just fine during the summer with the original FEP on the resin vat. freshly out of the box.
If it would help I could send some photos of the problems just mentioned above. Of course if you want that and/or have time.
Besides that, I love your videos and testing, really helped out in many ways
    Best regards
    Manuel

I was shopping the Mono X vs the Saturn vs the E10 (Epax). This Mono X definitely has the premium look down but their customer service, for me, has been pretty bad (Photon). I went with the Epax E10 because I kept reading "great customer service" and "quality craftsmanship" in various forums.
The E10 will not win any beauty contests, of the three, it has the most mundane design. With this being said, there customer service has been great. They were having issues with their hood and gave me an option to cancel my order. I went ahead and took shipment of the unit with the "defective" hood but I've had no issues at all. I was contacted by Epax a few days ago saying they're shipping me a new hood with the "defect" fixed, free of charge. Now I'll have a spare hood.
    Awesome customer service, indeed!

I ended up buying a Creality LD-006 from my local microcenter because I wanted to support my local stores but ended up having to get it replaced TWICE within a week. First time was because the lighting array was off, it under exposed half of the build plate and over exposed the other. The second one worked for exactly one and a half small print jobs before half of the mono screen just died. I’ve returned it and for the same price as the 006 (in store) I’ve ordered one of these along with the new bigger wash and cure station they make. I’ve basically sworn off Creality at this point. The only printers I own that don’t always break down are Anycubic ones like my Vyper.

The wireless adapter thing only works with G style wireless networks... I don't think it can connect to AC or N networks, and it definitely has trouble connecting to mesh networks like the Orbi or Google mesh. You can see if you can set up a G access point within your Orbi, or go pick up a cheap G WAP and hook that up to your router. It just mean you're going to have another wireless signal at your house.

My issue with Anycubic Mono X that no one seems to mention in any reviews is lack of any support. Lack of spare parts and build quality of the unit. The Mono X actually has 2 versions that dont use the same screen. There are 2 of them out there in the mix. They have no spare parts in stock for Mono X or Mono the smaller machine. The screen is plastic direct to the fep. So if you get a leak your basically buying a new printer or fighting the internet to try and find a replacement screen. Then if you do find them its 50/50 if you get the right one! You HAVE GOT TO get a screen protector for all anycubic mono's. You will get a leak at some point for a failed print. Thats my 10 cents anyway :)

The Mars 2 Pro vat has a... divot (?) in one corner that I think is supposed to serve that function, but I still always get resin pouring down the sides.

Great review. I've got the Photon Mono SE which is awesome, but I wish it had a bigger build plate. The expression on your face when you dropped the hat was priceless. I know this so well. The sound a resin print makes when it hits the floor. It's like "CLACK". You know it's gonna break. lol. Anyway I wanted to know if you have used any of the more durable resins out there? I have found Weistek brand resins to be great. The have a ABS like and Toughness types of resins. So far, I've have had none of my Toughness prints break on me. They have a quick Normal Exposure of 1.5 to 2 sec. I also got the resins at a pretty good price thru ebay when compared to Anycubic's resin price. You should contact them and ask them if you can test/review their resins.

Bought it when it was in preorder, been working great, had to use their Anycubic slicer since Chitubox coupdnt export the required format, there is a new version of Chitubox in beta that does that now. There was a bug that occurred when stoping and restarting the print to add more resin and some of the supports didn’t print in the center of the height, when I reprinted without stopping the same file it printed great.

Can't wait for that movie to come out. Glad to see you having some fun with your prints and as an over of an X10(8.9in 4k), I have to ask how loud is the Mono X. My Saturn is silent compared to my X10, but the build plate leaves a lot to be desired. Based on those two machines, I'm curious to see if other manufactures sourced the loudest fans they could find like EPAX did.

@@BrickBazooka I print work for professional need. I have been using it since both machine came out. After a few months, result is the same. Mono X is 30-45mins faster with same setting with Saturn in general, because the UV power is so strong on the monox. You have to adjust it to 80%uv power instead, even you lower the power to 40%, the quality will be similar to the default Saturn , but it take 2-3x times so not worth it. Printing it with 100%uv power is not recommended for detail work said from the anycubic tech service, the print will look kinda rough(over exposed) for very detailed work. On the other hand, Saturn is slightly slower, but the detail is much more clear. Also Saturn almost has no noise, which is awesome for me in a small room. While monox is like the old photon kinda noisy. For exhausting design Saturn is very good because you can modify all the waste air and smell out of one direction from the back with a custom duct system, however monox blows air out from the bottom, little troublesome to modify the air out. You don’t have to do it tho, I do this because I can’t stand the smell in my room. if you are doing very delicate small print, I would choose Saturn. If you want fast result, I would choose monox. If 10points is perfect for quality, Saturn will be 9.5, monox will be 8.5. I think is little hard to find true comparisons reviews on both machines because Most 3d printing guy on RUclips are paid to promote both machine. Anyway, Both are great machine, I use both. If u ain’t us for professional accuracy. Just get the cheaper one will do the job perfectly! Good luck 👍

For that task there is also the sonic mini 4k in the same price range as the saturn in my country. I'm still thinking about buying the sonic as well to compare it. For the resin smell I heard about anycubics eco resin which is plant based and also good. Might be a gamechanger. The epax e10 and the sonic mighty 4k I'll skip because to expensive and also the mono x now with your knowledge

Not only the flat spot on the build plate, the bolts that hold it also act as small cups if you put too much resin in the vat. Put a Wham Bam on the build plate. Changed my world after I did that.
I had the same issue with wireless. I finally just stopped caring.
Another point is it's an awesome printer until you need replacement parts. Replacement screens haven't been available since Anycubic released the printer.
Thank you for the awesome review. Let's see a comparison between the Mono X, Epax E10, and the Phrozen Mighty

@@UncleJessy Thank you!!! The molded build plate on the E10 gave me pause. I could always upgrade it later. I hate the way the build plate screws down on the E10. The method on the Mono X is so much better. Aside from the difficulty it causes with picking up the vat, you have to be careful not to poke holes in your feb. Minor complaint, but something they could easily change. Thanks again Sir!!!

I had an issue with the WIFI set up on mine as well. . . after much searching
Create a text file called WIFI.txt
    put the following in the file;
    WIFI account:,
    WIFI password:,
    Settings:1,
copy file to a USB drive and put in printer
then as I recall (memory not what it used to be) you need to print the file
that seems to be how you "install" the WIFI info.
your absolutely right about the printers network capabilities, they're Mehhh at best but this is also how it updates it's firmware so good idea to have it configured.
    hope this helps

Regarding the flat area that can accumulate resin, why not glue (hot glue, or silicone) a pair of small plates to the front and back to prevent the resin from getting to that flat area.
    Thoughts?
