Nichole Bloom said in interviews she loves how everyone hates her character and makes her die in awful ways. She takes it as the highest of compliments because it means she played her part as Emily correctly.
@@greenlee7smythe I mean all that scene, from getting out the elevator, knocking down rocks to slow down the wendigo(was it rocks?) Setting fire to slow it again, going up the conveyer belt and sliding down that line and falling a great height She was smart and tough and thats why i loved her character
She didn't mean to let him die. She was scared of him. Does anyone pay attention to the scenes in this game? "..it was too late.." and "I couldn't move...I was so scared. And I saw it. Tear him apart. Right in front of me." The only reason that butterfly effect even exists is to punish players for making a bad, out of character decision. It was obvious to me when I played Chris would never hurt Ashley.
Really? I had no idea!!!! I've played this game 10 times at least, watched several RUclipsrs play through it, and read a bunch of things on reddit (This is probably my favorite game ever). But I never knew this
He just can't keep his head. He constantly loses his mind. He just can't get a-head in this game. ... DECAPITATIOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!! That said, I still think it's fucked that Ashley could very well lose herself ENOUGH to leave Chris to die... Both were in fucked situations, but Chris could've had a reason for attempting to shoot Ashley. What reason? Easy: How can you trust a murderous fucker to let you go when you just witnessed your best friend sawed in twine? His options are to shoot himself, shoot Ashley, or shoot neither. In the instance where he chooses neither, both are fucked. In the instances where he shoots one and "saves" the other... Who's to say the killer will keep his word? I might've shot Ashley JUST because it may be less painful than: A. living knowing you were the reason for both your friend and your crush, along with his best friend's horrifying deaths, B. the potential games the psycho seems fixated on throwing Ashley through, as he's likely not going to stop here... Whichever person survived the psycho's "games" WOULD NOT make it through to safety... They're too much of a liability for him... And, most importantly, C. the HIGH possibility that the killer will tell the survivor "change of plans, you see, I can't let you live. He made his decision, now I have made mine. Boom, you're now getting your head ripped apart in a MUCH more hellish means than a simple gunshot... Granted, said gunshot MAY NOT kill you, but chances are high it will... Really, Chris was likely being selfish, but he could've been wanting to put her out of her misery and preparing for what horrors awaited him...
@@ascension8423 Suppose these comments have come to a head. Don't worry, I don't intend to get in your head. Keep your head held high. Just don't let the attention go to your head. Maybe I should quit while I'm a-head.
Basically, this games wants you to kill matt and jess. Like, they're the first ones who you can kill and if you save them both, they don't appear for the rest of the game, and they don't reunite with the group. They have a sequence where they can survive the night without knowing what happened
@Bitch Slayer I think Guilio's wording was understandable, but basically: When the game was made, the developers initially planned that Jessica can't be saved at all and dies either way, but they changed it last minute, which is why she doesn't have that much screentime. Also, Matt + Jess are the first characters who can die (early on) and no one else can die as early as them. (Jess can die as soon as the Wendigo gets her, Matt can fall of the cliff if he attacks a deer and dies - other characters can only die after Emily is in the mines I think)
i get that point but still for chris situation it was between him or her but with ash she could of saved him or just didnt at all. but still ash is cold blooded@@Nymkjbm
Yeah. He's got some weapon's grade plot armor. Basically, if you suck too hard as Mike in the sanatorium, it'll take the reins away from you and switch you over to Sam, who will save Mike from the mess you got him into.
It's just the restriction of how the game plays out. They would need to include a lot of extra scenes if Mike died there, and they likely didn't have the manpower or the inclination to write in that much extra stuff.
Imagine seeing the love of your life dead, brutally slaughtered and in their last moments all they knew was fear. That’s what gets me when watching these, not the gore
Who here thinks Chris has the worst time in the game he witness the fake death of his friend gets to chose who lives and who dies sees flame guy die thinks ash dies like four different times and has to shoot wendigo
I would say Chris and Jessica. To Jessica: She still manages to escape alone from the mines with all the injuries. Her sole survivor scenario is by far the best, she doesn't know what happened to all of her friends, she doesn't know about the Wendigo's or the Psycho, she lost boyfriend and is the most traumatized character, she would never recover from this. Well and to Chris you already mentioned his points.
The complete character change is what baffled me the most. Jessica acts like a tough bitch at the start (she even says so herself to Mike that she's actually really insecure), yet at the end she's so traumatized and in shock, which created this character almost parallel to that of Jessica. She and Chris were the only characters I felt genuinely bad for.
Memestealer josh had the worst time, he ends up dead regardless of your choices. If you look deep into his story you can find some sympathy for him, although he played a horrible prank on his friends. He never harmed anyone, if you look at the choices ashley can make, she can harm more than josh actually did. She can be responsible directly for chris's death
I remember playing this game years ago and keeping everyone alive til the end... on the final “don’t move” sequence for Sam, my brother came into my room screaming “BOO!!!” And I literally JUMPED so she died... I was so annoyed 😂
@@jay8216 Your nerves will be firing involuntarily for a moment after losing your head. But the myth that you're fully alive for a moment after decapitation is not true. It's pretty much an instant death, but still horrific.
In some (I think most) Chris' decapitation deaths he's alive for a few seconds after his head is torn off. Please tell me I'm not the only one who noticed that or found it creepy.
It is said that the head stays conscious for at least 6 - 8 seconds after decapitation occurs. Back when beheading criminals public was a very common thing (Lets say back in ye old knightly days for example) The Headsman would quickly lift the severed head up towards its former body as the true punishment was not to be beheaded but to see the aftermath of the act.
Did anyone else notice that Hannah's Wendigo wasn't killing Mike? She was only throwing him across the room or hitting him. Maybe she recognised Mike even after becoming a Wendigo because she used to have a crush on him?
Considering that Hannah was only a Wendigo for a Year more than likely so, also she recognised Josh down in the mines as well which is why there is an option in the Game for Josh to survive if he recognises Hannah when Sam and Mike find her Diary, then tell Josh about it.
Ӽֆȶօʀʍ7ʊʀӄӼ That is false. A wendigo (since is an '''""Animal"''') would only go after/see things that moves. Since the other wendigo was moving (and since he is the closest), she tried to get him. Even tho, your version would be more 'poetic'^^
6:18 tbh, that is some of the most heartbreaking voicelines from Mike. You can genuinely just feel his horror, and distraught. He turns the corner to see his childhood friend beheaded in front of him. Like that first "FUCK!! WHAT THE FUCK!!?" the amount of Shakiness in his voice- thats just so heart wrenching to me..
@@wikkiddeathlord7372 same. Him and Josh were the two best in my playthrough. I still don't know how anyone can like em more than him or even like her at all.
@@Minultima because Emily is kinda the underdog. She’s purposely written to be bitchy at the beginning, that plus the whole cheating with mike thing (which turned out to not be true) makes a lot of people not like her, I think a lot of people chose to let her fall as well. So when it turns out she’s alive and not only that but she’s one of the more level headed people in the group you realize how much you underestimated her and you start to admire her for being brave enough to survive alone.
I'm always surprised how many possibilities this game has. But of course, most of these deaths never happens if the player is only a little bit cautious...
I was a total dumbass when I played. I managed to keep the majority of them alive but forget to wait for everyone to leave the cabin at the end and got most them killed lmao
@@karlwittenburg5868 That's weird, you can do one safe route and fail 3 QTEs I think I remember it being before Jess dies so the only way for her to die is if you go a ton of safe routes or fail 3 QTEs
I think that if you throw the snowball at the bird as jess it’s a lot harder to keep her alive which could explain. I missed 2 (possibly 3 can’t remember) qtes taking the fast route and she was still alive. I’m sure I’ve read somewhere if she hits that bird there’s a high chance she’ll die in that chapter.
Motion capture animation half-assets teeth most of the time, it takes extra effort to make them look natural and not like they’re fresh from getting new veneers put in. A lot of devs seem to overlook that if they don’t matter to the character design (the stranger’s teeth look like they’re in appropriately rough shape), only exception I can think of is Hellblade where Senua’s teeth aren’t stark white.
If Until Dawn was a movie: Chris will get locked out of the house by Ashley Ashley would have died in the trapdoor Emily would be shot by Mike Matt would die by getting his jaw impaled on a hook Jess would be the first to die, dropping off the elevator Mike would sacrifice itself in the lodge Sam would be the sole survivor Josh would become a Wendigo
Juan Cruz Castiglione actually movie wise matt would live remember when u have option to ditch jess and lock her with the wendigo and he can escape safe? As much as I'd hate that it seems like something that would fit very well in a horror movie as funny as it seems the black might actually live in a horror movie lmao and Josh would be a wendigo I can't really see anyone else living due to how each of them had impactful deaths
The deaths in the game bothered me so much. The Wendigo hunter guy said that the Wendigos are supposed to keep you alive and aware while they slowly feast on your body, but the characters were all killed by the Wendigo instantly, which shouldn't be.
Remember that he hasnt seen Hannah since he killed the Makkapitew. Perhaps its what the miners did, or he was trying to insist to Chris that they left by exaggerating. It doesnt matter what the game is, characters will tell lies for some benefit. So dont think its a problem with the script.
It bothered me too. But like what was said about characters lying for personal benefit; he told the truth about everything else (when he went in the lodge and explained), gave Emily supplies to survive along with information about the wendigos, told Chris how to survive by standing still and that they don't like fire, tried to help Beth and Hannah AND went with Chris to get Josh at the cost of his life. So I really doubt that he would lie about them not killing you instantly for the benefit of whatever, because he seems like a very trustworthy man to me.
Ashley Petersen I dont think he wants to go hunting a wendigo with 5 people to protect at the time. Besides, he had said "Your friend will already be dead" in a guaranteeing tone.
It's just a theory, but I think it's because the Hannah wendigo still has some of Hannah in it. The miners who turned did so slowly, and Hannah has only been turning into a Wendigo for about a year. She is likely still angry at everyone for the prank they played on her, and wants to get her own back on them. I think her behaviour reflects that. She goes for Mike's new girlfriend first (ripping of her jaw to shut her up after the "we are gonna have sex" rant?), then she goes after the others who were in on it, leaving Mike and Sam. She pretty much leaves Mike alone (her crush), and if you manage to stay still and make a run for the door as Sam, she even protects Sam (her best friend) from being attacked by the other wendigo. Though, if Sam gets caught, the Hannah wendigo does kill her. Maybe for not finding her fast enough to warn her? Though, like I said, that's just my theory. By the way, has anyone else noticed that whilst the voice actor for Chris has his name appear in the opening credits, Chris' name and voice actor are nowhere to be found in the end credits?
Look, Hannah just doesn't really like Emily, Emily was dating the love of Hannah's life and then she had the idea to pull a very embarrassing prank of Hannah, so to answer you question, I think Hannah FOR SURE remembers Emily and that's why Hannah is always the one to kill her.
Izzyzizzy Mike has plot armor until the end of the game. If Mike fails to defend himself in the sanitarium, the game pretends he made it to the exit off-screen and Sam rescues him before he is killed. The miner wendigos never kill any of the characters: only Hannah.
Wait so are you saying that every death is Hannah? How can Hannah be in all those places at all those times? Like in that door in the mines where both Ash and Chris can die, thats the same Wendigo for both of them, Hannah can only feasibly be somewhere else
+Eamonn Ortiz (Cyberskelleton) i prob say he also had the more original than the other besides there head getting ripped off but with matt he has other ways to die. as you seen.
I love how most of the characters have their own way to die: Ashley and Chris: Decapitation. Emily: Eye crush. Jessica: Jaw removal. Matt: Jaw crush. Sam: Impalement. Mike: Explosion.
@@rosestar1324Well Jessica has the most “invasive” deaths. Handigo gets right up in her face both pre and post jaw removal and she is one of the main instigators of the prank that led to her death. I’m not sure about the others
@cocob0l0 Jessica "talks" a lot of shit, Chris and Ashley are both weak-willed (Ashley in particular going along with the "prank" and watching with pleasure). Emily "looks" down on others and doesn't bother to hide it, Mike is just a piece of shit, and Sam was a victim of circumstance, like how she was when Hannah was alive. Wrong place, wrong time.
Hannah kills them way she feels about them. Chris "loses his head" easily. Emily was creeping "eye" on her business because Mike. Jessica has "big mouth" that ruined her dream. Matt because he got "hooked up" to go with prank, or who doesnt want to punch friends in the "face in" the end of the days? Sam because he had lot of "guts" fail his best friend. And Mikes goes boom, maybe reason she didint pursue him so relentless as others was because she was still liking him.
Jessica is the first character you can get killed, like 10 minutes into game play and you already decided Jess's fate. Then she disappears for the rest of the game
I heard that the creators initially planned the game so that Jess always dies and never gets saved. but they changed it last minute, that's why she doesn't have much screentime compared to others. but matt can also die early & doesnt have much screentime rip
@@manyatruegamer6351I thought Mike had two in the lodge, blowing up from Sam or blowing himself up because if he gets injured by the wendigo Sam has to leave him but if Sam dies Mike will blow himself up.

Mike seems like a creator's pet to me. All the sanatorium bullshit and not one death for him. Noo, he gets a gun, a cool dog, tank top to expose muscle...whose self insert is that, developpers? ^^
It's necessary to show to the player the character is really dead because there are so many false deaths in the game (sawing Josh in half, Hannah, Jessica and Emily falling)
I had everyone live right until the end on my first playthrough, then I messed up the lightswitch thing and blew them all up >.< Doggo lived though so that's a win
I really wish that was possible, because it'd be hilarious. But it's not. I tried. Chris will always manage to scamper out of the lodge, no matter how fast you run to that light switch, and Matt and Jess are nowhere near the lodge when that happens. If you run immediately for the light switch, Sam also gets out. If you screw up your QTEs to get Sam killed, then Handigo is so busy killing her and Mike that everybody else scurries out before Mike flicks his lighter. Highest kill count you can hope for by blowing up the lodge is three: Ash, Mike, and Em. Which is sad. Cause I'd really love it if we had the option to completely faceplant at the finish line.

Ashley and Sam are very likeable. I even liked Josh. He dealt with his two sisters dying pretty well to only make a few pranks, when he could’ve taken revenge. Despite being mentally ill.
Then that proves how awful you and 195 other people are out there. ALL of these characters with the exception of the old flamethrower guy, Josh, and possibly Sam were shitty people! The gang played a cruel heartless prank on someone who didn’t do anything to deserve it and she and Beth who also didn’t do anything ended up paying for it with their lives! Sam didn’t want to go along with it but still could have stopped it. The rest all wouldn’t take responsibility and were the reason Josh slipped into a full blown psychosis! (I know it’s a game and I know people are going to say “calm down” but just think about it if it were you. If someone did that to ur sibling whom u loved would u feel so inclined to say they were cool people? If anyone ever did something like that to my sister, what Josh did would pale in comparison to what I’d do to them! They all should have gone to jail for manslaughter! Think about why Josh did what he did. (Again think about it as if it were real) he lost is sisters whom he loved very much! He’ll never be an Uncle. His parents will never be grandparents, why? Because Jessica, Ashley, Mike, Emily, Matt, Chris, and Sam all played a “prank” on Hannah. In my version everyone dies but Sam and she ends up in a mental institution because no one believes her story about a wendigo. With that being said, they all got what they deserved. You’re missing one for Matt-when he and Emily are at the light tower, she can choose to give the flare she found to Matt, or keep it for herself. If she gives it to Matt, and he gets caught by the Wendigo and misses the shot of the flare in the Wendigos face, he dies.

Remember when you hated Mike? When you thought that he was just a cocky bastard? Mike in my opinion had by far the most character development, from a show off jock, to the guy who is willing to sacrifice himself to save his friends, and to kill the Wendigos. And the only reason why Mike tried to shoot Emily is because Ashley convinced him that if someone gets bitten, they turn into a Wendigo, and he genuinely believed it. He felt extremely guilty if he did shoot Emily, driven nearly to tears and insanity. It also is said that Mike has a fear of his friends turning on each other, so that would explain why shooting Emily even came to his mind in the first place. But this is just my opinion, if you disagree, to each their own.
If his fear of his friends turning on each other was part of the motivation, that does not make him a good person LOL. Not virtuous, sympathetic, or anything to be empathized with. When taking a life is what they choose to do with that fear. Not even superficial jock types would feel motivated to kill their friends to avoid conflict. Even if they had a fear of it... That's literally evil lol. If you're going to argue that it's not evil because he wasn't aware of this, yes it's More evil to be conscious of that and choose it, but it's still evil even if it's subconscious. Just cause it's buried deeper doesn't mean it's not evil. And i don't have any emotions about Mike, especially since the thing i'm addressing is your opinion, and that's really got me. People defending or critiquing fictional characters use the same logic they would for real people, and the fact that you said that is... baffling. Lol.
Jess always gets her jaw ripped off Chris usually gets his head chopped off Ash usually gets her head chopped off Em usually gets her eyes gouged out (one time shot in the eye) Josh gets his head mashed together Matt usually gets his face pounded in Sam gets impaled Mike only dies by fire
I only didn't lost Matt because I think that if I stay and try to save Emily she would survive so I tried to kill her jumping to a safe place ( I was trying to kill everyone because I promese to myself that if Sam or Josh died I was going to kill everyone and there was Josh fake death) so I tried but the best part is after the revelation that Josh is the pysicho I said "If Josh are alive I killed Emily for nothing... sad" 3 seconds later " this bitch still alive!!!!!!"
I managed to avoid this because one of the death totems showed Matt falling and dying. So I thought that it would be better for Matt to get to a more secure ground before trying to help Emily. I didn't think it would send Emily to her apparent doom. But I now know how lucky I got, seeing as how the totem showing him fall to his death was during a completely different situation. This, letting Mike take the riskier paths when chasing Jessica and not investigating the sounds in the caves made me realize just how lucky I was to get all of the characters to survive my first play through.
@@uncappedbasher you was very lucky mostly of people get this characters killed in their first playthrough but did Josh survived in your first playthrough?
In Matt's death I had reasoning that most users would not save Emily for the second time the game asks you because of her bad behavior, so that to save Matt the game would require saving her to all the costs instead of throwing themselves away. And instead .. I was sad! I loved Matt!
i think matt got his head bashed in becasue he was the one who filmed hannah and mike at the begining and had the camera to his face so its kind of poetic for him to die in such a manner. in my playthrough matt, sam, and chris survive and technically josh since he became a wendigo.
It's interesting how Mike never dies by the hands of a wendigo/Hannah, considering he was the one Hannah had a huge crush on, and the one that encountered a wendigo first (with Jessica). He's almost the center of the whole prank, yet he doesn't get "punished" for it and dies in a heroic way. Meh.
heyitsmira I mean, I suppose that's why. The traces of her personality left were grudges against the people who pranked her, love for mike, and knowledge of her brother. I got Matt hooked. I thought I killed Jessica, but she just fell...somehow survived. But I got everyone out before blowing the house up, and kept sam alive so she was able to run out and flip the switch
No matter how much someone appreciates the story, this is the best "choices matter" game ever. Because everything leads to something else, it's much more diversive than most other choice driven games.
Lol no way. Even the less acclaimed titles from Supermassive Games such as Man of Medan and Little Hope provide more diversity in consequences than Until Dawn. The fact that Sam and Mike can only die in the last chapter despite both being in life threatening situations throughout the game is a bummer. Until Dawn is extremely limited on the "choices matter" department.
What wendigos like to do? With Ashley - Ripping off head With Chris - Ripping off head With Emily - "Blind" With Josh - Blow the head With Jessica - Ripping off jaws With Matt - Blow the face With Sam - Destoying the below With Mike - Scratch the below WTF Wendigos?
+GBRPTC It's okay. Ashley is only decapitated once (in 2 different scenes that happen if you unlock the trapdoor, even if you don't open it, the wendigo will decapitate her) and will also have her eyes pierced and be burned alive.
+rainydays359 ... Idk, I think the OP is pretty accurate: it kind of seems like Ashley's (and Em's) burning death is just in place of Mike's same death -- you have to have him die first before one of them can take that fall; also Ashley's gouge death can be read as completely in place of Em's in-lodge gouge death, both of which, again, only occur if you already lose Mike and still decide to screw up your gameplay again/not save them. Really since Ashley 1 and 2 is the same thing (she releases the wendigo by at least unlocking the trapdoor) and 3 and 4 are just in place of other people's deaths if you're screwing up the final scene MAJORLY, Ashley only has one legitimate death, and if you do it after letting Chris stay behind, he dies no matter what. LOT of easiness getting Ashley to survive, (only one death type you could get without being a moron/trying to get people killed) and a LOT of Chris's life in Ashley's hands going badly for him. Just follows the theme of girls being much easier to save even if it LOOKS bad for them and all guys who aren't Mike having it really tough.
Well.. You must do some QTEs to proceed on, but... There are some scenes, where executing QTEs is better. Saving Wolfie or Escaping the Psycho. Things like that. Feels pretty cheap though, I agree. EDIT: Apparently the Sanatorium Wendigos are much weaker than Hannah, so technically Mike and Sam were never in any real danger before Chapter 10.
That's because in real life sometimes people's heads would still blink, move their mouths ETC. after decapitation. There's even a recorded case where someone's head focused on someone calling their name after "death"... twice.
Why the hell wouldn't Ashely let Chris in the house!? Yeah I would understand her being mad and upset that he was probably gonna shoot her but she was begging him to!! Even if hypothetically he was gonna shoot her and she wasn't begging him to, she still should've let him in. That's honestly a b**ch of a move, even Emily or Jessica wouldn't of done that.
It’s looks to me like she shuts down completely. She starts walking towards the door then she freezes and stares straight ahead. During the rest of the night she handles stress and fear horribly compared to the others so my interpretation is the stress of thinking Chris shot her and later knowing there’s a monster hunting and killing her friends breaks her. That would explain why Mike has to drag her away from where she’s standing.
7:19 Holy fuck, his facial expressions look so real it's shocking. Especially because he looks at the player. But why did he die? Wasn't he supposed to rejoin the group?
That happens if Ashley followed the noise and got herself killed. Chris comes down there later, and the Wendigo, having been let out from the trapdoor, is loose in the tunnels and kill Chris. So if you leave Chris behind, and Ashley unlocks the trapdoor, Chris is doomed no matter what you do. I would assume that the Wendigo left the rest of the group be because it was too busy dragging Ashley's and Chris's bodies away.
+Сергей Орлов My teory : Look at the wendigos who killed all charecters . IT GOT TATTOO ON ITS ARM! And the wendigo with the tattoo , is absouletly Hannah! She's gonna kill all the charecters , cause they made Hannah to eat Beth and Hannah to turn wendigo . She hates all of charecters . I think you noticed josh killed . At once the Mike has go into to water , but the wendigo Hannah won't hurt him .She leads off him and takes Josh . And I think u remember , SAM GOT JUST ONE KİLLED . Cause Sam was Hannah's best friend . But she thinks she get me killed too . But at least , she don't wantted to hurt her so badly. BUT HANNAH IS THE ONE , WHO WANTS TO EMİLY , JESS , MATT , ASHLEY AND CHRIS (A LİTTLE BIT SAM TOO) DIE .
Mike and Sam can only die at the end. I believe that everyone should be able to die before the finale, not just those two. Like, come on, are you seriously going to expect us to understand doing nothing in the sanitarium will not lead to Mike's demise. For real developers, for real.
Yeah the sanatorium was full of wendigos and mike still managed to live anyways... They should have put at least one death scene for mike there but it will change the story at the end if he gets killed...
+Lukesta Tiger I know what you mean, but in order to be able to get to chapter 10, someone has to be "immortal", if not, the game would be extremely short! But maybe they could do something, so that if one person dies, there is someone else who survives. The person who survives, could depend on the person who died. Idk, does that make sense?
Chris loses his head Emily losses her eyeballs Mike burns Matts face bleeds Jessica losses her jaw Joshs head gets squished Sam's stomach gets handed Ashleys losses her head
8:50 For some reason, this is my FAVOURITE death. I have no idea why, maybe because of the emotions and confusion behind it, or because of the goofy little "..huh..?" *Wendigo*
OK, here's my interpretation of the different levels of malice Wendigo Hannah shows to different characters. When she kills people she liked as a human (Mike) or who weren't involved in her death (Sam, possibly Chris, and Flamethrower Guy who she presumably has reason to hate post-transformation but may remember tried to save her and Beth) she seems to just use her claws pretty cleanly (as if she's simply following killing instincts she can't deny), but with Ash and Emily her expression suggests she's really relishing it and Jessica's stalking, capture and death are drawn-out into definite sadism. Matt seems borderline, as it's quick, but it still fits in with an explosion of vengeful rage. I also note that showing Chris' head to Ash suggests some understanding that it would torment her, just like throwing Jessica her phone back to frighten her before dragging her through a mile of forest, and terrorising/torturing her for long enough for Mike to catch up. With Josh, I'm wondering if she recognised him even if she does kill him; his death is unique, and it's possible she might have been fighting her urge to kill him, but fails, unless he's able to recognise her quicker, and that gives her the strength to spare him.
Would you save a guy who was going to kill you to save his own skin? Remember that this was at about 3 in the morning, so nobody there would have been thinking properly since they're all tired as heck.
+Andrew Reid (Atomix888) Ashley was literally the one who said "Please please please shoot me instead" plus the gun was FAKE it, she didn't die. She had the choice to save him but decided not to.
It's amazing how people always remember what Ashley says but they conveniently forget what Chris says to her just before the player takes control of the gun. He told Ashley he would save her then broke his word and tried to kill her. He is traitor and he deserved to die.
i can’t imagine how weird it must’ve been for the actors and actresses to see hyper-realistic models of themselves all die in extremely brutal ways.
Nichole Bloom said in interviews she loves how everyone hates her character and makes her die in awful ways. She takes it as the highest of compliments because it means she played her part as Emily correctly.

i will never understand why ashley didnt let chris back in the house because he tried to shoot her after she LITERALLY BEGGED HIM TO DO IT
I bet it's because she wanted to try his trust for her staying alive. But, I guess it didn't come as she expect it to
She didn't mean to let him die.
Actually the developers said it was a mistake on their part. They forgot that Ashley will beg Chris to shoot her if they have a good relationship.

I might've shot Ashley JUST because it may be less painful than:
A. living knowing you were the reason for both your friend and your crush, along with his best friend's horrifying deaths,
B. the potential games the psycho seems fixated on throwing Ashley through, as he's likely not going to stop here... Whichever person survived the psycho's "games" WOULD NOT make it through to safety... They're too much of a liability for him... And, most importantly,
C. the HIGH possibility that the killer will tell the survivor "change of plans, you see, I can't let you live.

Basically, this games wants you to kill matt and jess. Like, they're the first ones who you can kill and if you save them both, they don't appear for the rest of the game, and they don't reunite with the group. They have a sequence where they can survive the night without knowing what happened
Giulio Colombo your wording.....
Giulio Colombo ikr
@Bitch Slayer I think Guilio's wording was understandable, but basically: When the game was made, the developers initially planned that Jessica can't be saved at all and dies either way, but they changed it last minute, which is why she doesn't have that much screentime. Also, Matt + Jess are the first characters who can die (early on) and no one else can die as early as them.
(Jess can die as soon as the Wendigo gets her, Matt can fall of the cliff if he attacks a deer and dies - other characters can only die after Emily is in the mines I think)

Angus nope, Jessica had the worst time
I would say Chris and Jessica.
I'd say Chris mentally, and Jessica/Mike physically.

Yea, I just wanted to point it out.

WHAT IF THEY KILLED THE DOG

Let us never forget markiplier replaying the whole damn game after realizing his mistake with Ashley
Ashley and Sam are very likeable. I even liked Josh. He dealt with his two sisters dying pretty well to only make a few pranks, when he could’ve taken revenge. Despite being mentally ill.
I watched h20 delirious play through only so far.
What was his mistake
@@minoljayalath6539 she was killed
Realistically, Mark lost Matt, Ashley, and Mike. None of these were from failed QTES, all from his decisions.
Everything with Chris makes me cry. He's such a good guy and was my favorite character. Love that dude.
Only a generation of kids who grow up with an iPhone glued to their hand that destroys their empathy would think these characters were even remotely likable.
@@greenlee7smythe "an iPhone glued to their hand that destroys their empathy would think these characters were even remotely likable."
You're literally doing what you're criticizing by not empathizing with teenagers making impulsive and irrational choices. The lack of self-awareness here is wild. Also, saying that "what Josh did would pale in comparison to what I'd do with them" while simultaneously noting that he was fully psychotic doesn't exactly paint a great picture of you, especially when you're talking about actual torture that he inflicted on them. I really hope you're like 12 or something, because it frightens me that a fully grown adult would have such an unnuanced concept of retributive justice and criminality.
@@TravisKerr1 yeah because it blows my mind how kids today don’t understand basic human emotions. I work with a lot of teenagers. Some even complained to me once how they got in trouble for doing something to a schoolmate and got punished for it and when i said they shouldn’t have done that to begin with guess what their response was? “Don’t care” “I’d do it again it was funny and the kids a little bitch” u ought to google Skyler Neese and her killers. Look at their mugshots. Posing like it’s a selfie!
Yeah I’d hurt someone for playing a cruel joke on my sister and causing her death accident or not. What if what they did to the twins, someone did to ur sibling? Or ur CHILDREN? And they got distraught and ran off and died. You would call them likable people? You’d forgive and forget? Please! Come down off ur high horse there buddy. Not once did those characters apologize to Josh. And Mike….he was so quick trying to be big man on campus he didn’t even stop to rationalize “okay Josh had ample opportunity to kill Chris and Ashley several times, but didn’t. So why would he kill Jessica? How can he be in two places at once? Hmmmm? They all knew what Josh told them was true and instead of dealing with the fact they robbed him of his sisters, any nieces or nephews and his sanity they wanna play victims! His psychosis was their fault! We don’t know how he would have been if they hadn’t done what they did. Maybe he would still be a nut burger maybe not. But even still, they were responsible and they got what they deserved. Karma’s a bitch.

@@jiemingzhao9244 not fair for her either (not in a sense of dying, if we're talking about death well she won the lottery) , i feel like it makes her character too simple and her playthrough kinda pointless. Also the "butterfly effect" idea looks very lazy at times like that.
Noelle Rivera Espinoza ikr
I liked her from the very start. 🖤
Don’t forget the fact that even if his friends are all dead he kills all that will harm any others
On top of ashley trying to convince Mike, he's also been riding high on ALL the adrenaline
People defending or critiquing fictional characters use the same logic they would for real people, and the fact that you said that is... baffling. Lol.
Gotta love how Hannah treats Chris’ death as a chance to say “I’ll just leave this here.”
Jess always gets her jaw ripped off
Chris usually gets his head chopped off
Ash usually gets her head chopped off

They love to finger her mouth for some apparent reason
18:39 the way like 80% lost matt in their first playthroughs
In My Playthrough I Only Lost Emily, I Couldn’t Press The Button On Emily’s 1st Death. Oh Well, Sorry Em Em.
In Matt's death I had reasoning that most users would not save Emily for the second time the game asks you because of her bad behavior, so that to save Matt the game would require saving her to all the costs instead of throwing themselves away. And instead .. I was sad! I loved Matt!
Jessica gets her jaw ripped apart because she never knew when to stfu. Looks like Hannah remembered that much about her.
Emily gets her eyes gouged out because she's judgey, Sam gets impaled in the guts because she's brave etc.
i think matt got his head bashed in becasue he was the one who filmed hannah and mike at the begining and had the camera to his face so its kind of poetic for him to die in such a manner. in my playthrough matt, sam, and chris survive and technically josh since he became a wendigo.
I think, even though he was in on it too, she was more mad at the people who watched her, because she started stripping in front of her perverted friends.
heyitsmira Actually if you fail the first don’t move with Sam, Hannah will kill him.

I love Until Dawn much more than Detroit, but i gotta be honest, Detroit: become human have MUCH more choices and consequences than Until Dawn does

Holy goddamit. its true xD
You're not really right about Ashley but about the rest, yeah.
+rainydays359 Sorry guy, I missed...
Mike is pretty brave for sacrificing himself
Badass*
Surely Mike has more opportunities to die, right? Pretty much all of his story is in the Sanatorium filled with Wendigos
Nope. Mike and Sam cannot die earlier than Chapter 10 (along with Josh).
It's the PLOT ARMOR!!!
That's some garbage. No point in even doing a single QTE then.
Well.. You must do some QTEs to proceed on, but... There are some scenes, where executing QTEs is better. Saving Wolfie or Escaping the Psycho. Things like that. Feels pretty cheap though, I agree.
EDIT: Apparently the Sanatorium Wendigos are much weaker than Hannah, so technically Mike and Sam were never in any real danger before Chapter 10.
well, you can be mean to wolf the first time, then it will run away the second time, and now you don't have to worry about any QTE
This is why you shouldnt watch or read spoilers... if you knew what happens, it wont be excited and obliged to hit the qte
While playing, I could never shake the idea that hypothermia would probably kill them all long before any monsters, traps or deadly falls.

"Geez, that hurts! Hey, I'm alive :D Oh, wait, nope. *XoX*"
I wonder what's the point with making deaths with moving eyes or mouth like a alive human. WTF?
That's because in real life sometimes people's heads would still blink, move their mouths ETC. after decapitation. There's even a recorded case where someone's head focused on someone calling their name after "death"... twice.
Lol look at his mouth it looks like he's saying that
When I did a blind playthrough (not yt) that part was creepy as fuck

I do ship them they should have just make out
Why the hell wouldn't Ashely let Chris in the house!? Yeah I would understand her being mad and upset that he was probably gonna shoot her but she was begging him to!! Even if hypothetically he was gonna shoot her and she wasn't begging him to, she still should've let him in. That's honestly a b**ch of a move, even Emily or Jessica wouldn't of done that.
The devs forgot that Ashley begs Chris to shoot her if they have a good relationship.
I remember watching this when it came out and I remember thinking “man they really like decapitating Chris and crushing Emily’s eyes.”
Thank you. Even if I think I know all the things this game has to offer, I learn more and more about it every day.

But maybe they could do something, so that if one person dies, there is someone else who survives. The person who survives, could depend on the person who died. Idk, does that make sense?
Chris loses his head
Emily losses her eyeballs
Mike burns
Matts face bleeds
Jessica losses her jaw
Joshs head gets squished
Sam's stomach gets handed
Ashleys losses her head
Hey Chris and Ashley’s deaths have the same way of dying. What a great couple!
Of death
Ashlyn + Chris = love!
JackieFunGames ashley can also burn its a secret death
you're on my way! :)
This channel is dead
And Sam gets impaled by a fucking hand.

For some reason, this is my FAVOURITE death.
Hannah recognises him it's shown in butterflies' effect
she killed josh because he didn’t recognize her
I wondered about this too. Cuz I noticed she killed different characters in different ways
Jessica's deaths are really "Jaw-Dropping"
Thank you I'll be here all week!!!
lol

Booooooooooooooo
Poor...poor chris
Wow Ashley acts so cold hearted if you decided to shot her that it's even disturbing
Would you save a guy who was going to kill you to save his own skin? Remember that this was at about 3 in the morning, so nobody there would have been thinking properly since they're all tired as heck.
Andrew Reid They were friends, almost lovers, she even said that he could shoot her, at least I would try it
+Andrew Reid (Atomix888) Ashley was literally the one who said "Please please please shoot me instead" plus the gun was FAKE it, she didn't die. She had the choice to save him but decided not to.
It's amazing how people always remember what Ashley says but they conveniently forget what Chris says to her just before the player takes control of the gun. He told Ashley he would save her then broke his word and tried to kill her. He is traitor and he deserved to die.
+ShadowKnight yes but, it was her life or his life. I think the majority would save themselves over someone else.
Mike "Are you okay?"
Me "Yeah, just you know the love of my life's head basically got thrown at my face. So I'm totally alright, thanks Mike."
Its sad and scary because it's always the same expression when hey die...
Right? This is so creepy!
+Pewdieful Gamer yeah
11:16 I guess u could say Emily’s spirit was quite.....
Crushed.
I’ll leave
That scene made me so sad, she was my favourite character.
This butterfly effect got me like ( apologizing to everyone for every single shit i do ) in real life....
This is one of the most realistic and gory games I’ve ever seen..holy shit.
