Come on, the Horned King is the creepiest Disney villain. He has no apparent weakness and no disarming funny quirks with Creeper being the comic relief in his scenes. The only reason he was defeated was that Gurgi lost his will to live and threw himself into the Black Cauldron, destroying its black magic and killing both himself and the Horned King.
Classic Disney TV series Gargoyles because Keith David would be able to make Kingdom Hearts insane plot sound important for once.

Treasure planet for me, now that I think about it, they could do what they did for the Pirates franchise in 3 with the mini open world sub-RPG but in space.
And they thought ship battles in Moana was a great idea.
Since it's a spaceship, they could even make this the first world and your ship from it is your starting ship in the gummi missions.
Edit: Scratch that, Star Wars spaceships.

Treasure Planet is GENIUS!! It’s easily my favorite Disney film followed closely by Atlantis, which coincidentally would ALSO be an incredible setting.
Was going to put this in myself with the same line of thinking. Enjoyed those ship battles? Here are some pirates in space. The sledding minigame idea they want to translate to the EAC for Nemo? Here's the solar surfer from the opening scenes of the movie. Want the tear jerking emotion from Coco? Let's dive into the story with Jim and Silver. Morph would make an amazing sidekick or summon(with adaptability for different situations). Treasure Planet is one of the best and unfortunately least known Disney films and it would be perfection for something like Kingdom Hearts.

Personally I’d love to see Kingdom Hearts’s take on Atlantis: The Lost Empire. Imagine exploring the undersea cavern leading to the city, the secret swim with Kida, and the epic boss battle against a crystal infused Rourke over an active volcano!
Fun Facts:
1. Not only is Rescuers important because it was one of Disney's most successful films of that era but because its sequel, Rescuers Down Under, was the first Disney animated sequel to receive a theatrical release.
2. You can thank The Great Mouse Detective for the Disney Renaissance and Pixar as we know it because was the money from that film saved Walt Disney Animation Studios from being shuttered and funded the production of The Little Mermaid. As for Pixar, the film's use of computer enhancement in various scenes (most notably the Big Ben's innerworkings) is what prompted Pixar to approach Disney to make a deal for the funding of the its first seven feature-length films because they intended to make them completely with CG which had never been done before. This lead to the creation of Toy Story and the rest was rocky history because Michael Eisner couldn't leave well enough alone.
I personally think of those two franchises before I think about Mickey.

Rescuers Down Under was also the only theatrical sequel until Ralph Wrecks the Internet, and Frozen 2 the following year. At the time, I feared that Disney was focusing more on profitable franchises than original movies, and it was the end of an era.
And now we fervently wish that Eisner was back because Chapek sucks!!!

This was because for the longest time, the only way you could release a film was in theaters, meaning on top of the cost making the film, you also had to work out a contract with the theaters (because it's illegal for a production company to own movie them) and an extensive marketing campaign to get people to actually go see it. Disney didn't believe that animated sequels justified these costs, so they weren't even really a thing until the advent of home video in the 80s and the subsequent advent of the direct-to-video film. However, even at that point Disney's lack of confidence in these films lead to them being treated as training grounds for rookie talent. This philosophy clashed with that of Pixar and came to a head when its first sequel, Toy Story 2, went into production.
At that time it was the Pixar braintrust liked to have one of their own, and their whole heart, behind every one of their projects. As the project progressed the big wigs at Pixar began to rightly see the film as better than the first. Consequently, they approached Michael Eisner about securing a theatrical release for Toy Story 2 who gave them a big fat no. He referred them to the contract that stated that they were to make seven films; four theatrically released and three released directly to video. The catch was that the four theatrically released films were all supposed to be original films and that sequels were what the direct-to-video releases were for. Pixar, disillusioned by Eisner's lack had actually decided to walk after the fulfillment of their contract, until the shareholders put Eisner in his place and gave Toy Story 2 a theatrical release and renegotiated the contract.
Looks like Im not alone asking for Atlantis and Treasure Planet. Seriously both are underrated and they can work with their themes. Sora can easily relate to Silver and Jim's longing for adventure. Plus the fight for the Heart of Atlantis is all too similar to how Xehanort was after Kingdom Hearts.
TRUE. Kida is basically a literal Princess of Heart, Jim is basically the kind of guy who would instantly be Sora's friend, and Silver is basically a classic KH misunderstood anti-villain who gets redeemed at the end.
You know what this needs to be in, though? Not KH4 with its whole thing about starting off in the gritty, pseudo-realistic Quadratus, but a spinoff game like Birth by Sleep that's made to be a callback to the classic era of KH, because thematically and stylistically they would fit the most into the atmosphere of the older games, and something more like a refinement of KH2's gameplay approach than the newer, highly saturated style of 3...

Heck ya! I've been saying this for a few years now! I mean, despite not having a physical heart, WALL-E undoubtedly has the biggest heart out of everyone in the film, and directly and indirectly affects everyone he meets for the better, like the captain getting off his lazy butt and getting interested in going back to Earth as a really big example! Story-wise, it's perfect for a Kingdom Hearts game.
This definitely feels like "Disney Movies That Should Be More Appreciated" and I'm here for it.
Can't make a list like this while skipping Atlantis: the lost empire, treasure planet, and black cauldron. You had me for sure on brave, coco, and princess and the frog; but if we are leaning into the adventurous world hopping that Sora is known for, then it can't be denied that space pirates and an exploration team composed of mercenaries would give so many colorful opportunities for memorable moments.
Maybe too many. It might have the same problem Pirates did in Kingdom Hearts 2. Atlantis' scenes speak for themselves and lines mesh so having Sora along for the ride might just have him battling heartless around a recreation of the movie. But flying around on those fish-cycles would sure be fun.

Atlantis or I riot, honestly. I know that Disney is known for its musicals, but it's 2000's foray into straight films are so under appreciated.

"Rescuers down Under" is a film that has aged so incredibly well, it might be one of the best from the 90s.
Veteran voice actor Maurice Lamarche has a spot on Vincent Price impression that he's already been using in many WB properties (Animaniacs, Scooby-Doo, etc.), so he could easily pull off Rattigan.
He actually *was* Vincent Price’s replacement for Ratigan during Ratigan’s spoken cameo in a House of Mouse episode
Treasure Planet. I know Disney kinda sent that movie to die but come on! Sora and Jim having a race on Solar Boards, Donald's short temper starting a fight with the ships crew, a final fight in the exploding core of the planet where lava and rocks are flying everywhere?! Come on that would be sick!
We got a Tron world by virtue of that movie being a cult classic (pretty sure it under-performed when it came out) so why not Treasure Planet as well?
We could even base Jim's moves with the tie-in game they made. Using Morpho as hammer, cyborg arms, helping hand...

I'd love to see Atlantis: The Lost Empire included, but acknowledge I might be in the minority there. I feel like a 90-minute movie didn't really have time to do the characters and setting justice, but a video game is a great opportunity to explore the world and spend more time with the characters. Plus, the scene where Kida gives herself to the Heart of Atlantis would be amazing to see rendered in a video game, and the way Rourke gets transformed at the end would translate very naturally to a boss fight.
Just saying. The Atlantean crystals are literally keychains. They're the exact size and shape for it... and they are actually keys.
I want my big stone fish keyblade, Disney. Come on.

I'd like to see Zootopia brought in with a case solving dynamic as well as some of the slightly older films like Flight of the navigator.
Ellen hadn’t even gotten halfway through introducing the lightsaber Keyblade, and I was like, “YO, they could do a lightsa- YEAH OH MY GOD!”
The great mouse detective is one of my all time favorite Disney movies. I am so glad someone else enjoyed this as much as I did. This truely made me happy!

The incredibles is plausible. I do not know about the rest though.
I don't know what pirated copy of the Incredibles you watched, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't 2D and animated like the other movies on your list.

Problem with Black Cauldron: that's not a Disney original. It was an adaptation of the second book of The Chronicles of Prydain series by Lloyd Alexander (btw, while it's a pretty good movie, its SUPER unfaithful to the book, like not even close), so, unlike their more public domain tales, they would have would have to do more legal workings to get it into Kingdom Hearts

Inside Out would be a good place. Imagine exploring Riley's mind along side Joy and Sadness fighting to keep the Darkness out, Or a return of the Unversed as they become stronger from negative emotion going through Riley mind due to Anger, Fear and Disgust struggle to keep Riley happy. Now that would be a good world idea. (Also you get to fight a giant clown.)
Okay, so my ideas is that all the emotions have been turned into heartless, but not disgust, because she is the sense of taste, so you escort her to the others as mini bosses, ending with joy, being captured by jangles. So she can restore them. I chose disgust because she isn’t hot headed, joy would be too naive, sadness would give up, and fear would run right into one while going away from another. (Also she’s my favorite) plus, she would be able to restore them by using her taste somehow, and as a bonus, she would have so many snarky comments!
Oh also, it would have a chance to see Paula Poundstone again, and she’s just the fucking best

I am totally on board for a Basil of Baker Street level in the Elizabeth Tower. Although, given that it is Victorian era it isn't called that yet.

@@sweeety969 apparently they were incredibly original when first naming it and decided upon the Clock Tower. Renaming it in 2012 when the old woman got a bit older.
@@sweeety969 no. It didn't really have an official name it was just the Clock Tower. However, Parliament officially named it 10 years ago in honour of the present Queen Elizabeth to mark 50 years as queen.
I personally would really love to see the Gargoyles in KH! Even if it's just as a summon or a minigame. The creator of this series, Greg Weisman, even mentioned in an interview, that those weird justice warriors almost got into Kingdom Hearts before! We were so close... Not everyone fancied the fox-man! Some fancy the bat-winged stone demons, especially Brooklyn... I heard!!
imagine battling Steel Clan robots & Heartless around NYC with Goliath & Elisa ( maybe at least 1 huge setpiece with all the Gargoyles involved, possibly even Fox & Xanatos )....final boss for the world could be Demona, Thailog, Macbeth, the hunters, even Titania if they decided to include Avalon as a location....so much awesome potential!

We need the Final Fantasy characters back. It's criminal that they didn't make a single appearance in KH3.
A Dragon Quest world would be great - extra points if they go entirely turn-based with it - even more if they do 16-bit sprites of the cast.
While I agree that they need to work some more Final Fantasy oriented stuff back in, if you start opening the door for other Square Enix properties, it's just going to get out of hand. Disney alone has more properties than could ever be included in a KH game, and that doesn't include stuff like Star Wars or Marvel. No, I think Square Enix just needs to make some updates for their other properties, and not dive too deep into the KH quicksand
I think the problem is your definition of "Final Fantasy characters" because there are quite a few Final Fantasy characters in Kingdom Hearts 3, even without the dlc, namely moogles (well, one moogle and a lot of moogle holograms), a cactuar statue and all the constellations.
@@stefantherainbowphoenix Sure, there were a few references. I guess I should have been more specific about referring to the supporting cast - Squall/Leon, Aerith, Cid, etc... who played fairly large roles in the previous titles, but were nowhere to be seen in KH3.

If they wanted, they could even include Final Fantasy worlds the way they do with Disney properties. A chapter set in FFVII's Midgar, for instance, or the Floating Continent from FFVI.
Still holding out for Atlantis the guardian would be such a great fight
I'd love a Jungle Book world in Kingdom Hearts. Baloo and the elephants would be great for some music based minigames, and Sora could team up with Mowgli to fight Shere Khan

I feel like there should be some themed worlds that merges several franchises together
I had an idea similar to this years back with multiple hub worlds. Use examples of already existing worlds such as being able to reach deep jungle through a port, getting to wonderland through the rabbit hole, neverland through the clock tower. Having events happening in the hub leading you to those worlds like chasing the white rabbit.

I'd love that, but it goes against the KH lore of worlds being separated like planets in space it's been trying to build.

We definitely need a The Incredibles world. A split between a city environment and jungle environment can help it stand out, a fun minigame where you are protecting violet and dash in the force field ball when they are being chased, syndrome being influenced by darkness, and a cool costume and keyblade design for sora.
I'm honestly burned out on Kingdom Hearts... but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to see:
* Coco
* The Incredibles
* The Princess and the Frog
* Zootopia
* Moana
* Treasure Planet
* Atlantis the Lost Empire
* The Emperor's New Groove
And if all possible:
* Amphibia
* The Owl House
* Gravity Falls
* Gargoyles

I always enjoy these lists, but every entry on this one in particular is PERFECT. Great work team! :)
Never played a KH game, so maybe there's a reason this wasn't on the list, but the rebooted Ducktales universe seems like a perfect contender. Plenty of villains, Tennant voiced Scrooge and his family, that universes Donald Duck. It's about as Disney as it gets.
Magica DeSpell would be a perfect boss for that world, hands-down.
Most of the "Duck" family is already included in the game.
Donald is the court's magician.
Daisy is a duchess friend of the queen.
The triplets are shop owners in the hub worlds.
Scrooge is a business entrepreneur [last seen running a bistro with Remi the rat (from Ratatouille)]

Thank you Ellen, I've said for years that The Great Mouse Detective should be a Kingdom Hearts world (plus, you also covered Moana and Princess and the Frog, which also feel like top choices). That said, I'm a bit surprised that you ignored the vast possibilities of Disney's animated television portfolio. Ducktales, The Owl House (though they'd likely never go for that, considering how badly they've handled it), Amphibia, Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers, Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja, Kim Possible, Darkwing Duck, Gravity Falls, and Gargoyles all feel like great worlds just waiting to be tapped into for a future KH game.
EDIT - forgot to include American Dragon Jake Long and Star Vs. The Forces of Evil, my bad.

While The Great Mouse detective is my favorite Disney movie & absolutely needs to be in KH4. I would also want to see both Treasure Planet & Zootopia. Imagine taking on space pirates with Jim while hunting for the legendary planet or solving a mystery with Judy & Nick in Zootopia
What about Gargoyles? There's the island of Avalon reigned over by Oberon and Titania with their fay subjects and the resident gargoyle clan at the palace. Maybe even a boss battle against Oberon himself at David Xanatos' Eyrie Building in Manhattan, like the battle waged in the episode "The Gathering". A world with a blend of science and magic.

Ooh, a team-up between Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable, Mason (Dipper's first name) and Mabel Pines, Star Butterfly and Marco Diaz (I know, controversial pick, but I have my reasons why), the Calamity Trio (Anne Boonchuy, Sasha Waybright, and Marcy Wu to the people who don't know them), and the Boiling Isles child prodigies Luz Noceda, her girlfriend Amity Blight, and their friends Willow Park, Augustus Porter, and probably even Hunter would be a fever dream indeed.
Might even add Jake Long and Rose, the Gargoyles, a bunch of 90s Disney Afternoon characters, a bunch of DuckTales 2017 characters, and some notables from Phineas & Ferb/Milo Murphy's Law, Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja, Kick Buttowski, and so many others.
If they're doing Disney TV, then I'm all for an American Dragon world tie-in somewhere.

Well, I am very much FOR the world of the Princess and the Frog simply for the villain alone but if there will be a world in which the gang is shrunk it's probably gonna be the Toy Box again. Two favourites I personally have though are The Incredibles and Darkwing Duck during his first encounter with Taurus Bulba. The later will probably never happen though...

Love a lot of the stuff on this list. KH really has a lot of potential going forward with content options. Personally I would love to see a Robin Hood or Jungle Book world. Also, if we don't get a Chip n Dale summon at long last I will be slightly disappointed

It hasn't been used yet as far as I know, there's a few games I never finished. But I think The Incredibles would make for a good summon.
We've had Baymax, but that's as much superhero as we got.

Honestly, The Black Cauldron would work really well too. I mean there is the Horned King, and he would make for a pretty solid villain for Kingdom Hearts.
Said cauldron could also be used to spew wave after wave of Heartless.
Horned King gave me nightmares.

Then I saw the trailer for KHIV. Now it would feel wrong if Star Wars doesn’t make it in. The art style would work too well.

If they could only have one superhero world, I'd say The Incredibles. If they have to go with Marvel, make it a full comic book world, complete with cell shading and moving between panels.
@@jardex2275 i was thinking more along the lines of sora and gang teaming up with the avengers to fight thanos and the heartless. Im sure there is a good way to translate the snap into a massive heartless fight. Somewhere along the lines goofy gets captains shield and Donald gets a thunder hammer.

The Great Mouse Detective is SO criminally underrated. Still one of my all time favorite movies. If they included it I could die happy.
